교류형 플라즈마 디스플레이(AC PDP)의 유지기간 동안 강방전과 약방전을 발생시킬 수 있는 파형을 인가하여 계조의 선형성을 향상시키기 위한 새로운 유지 구동파형과 그의 구현 방법이 제안된다. AC PDP의 계조를 표현하기 위한 구동방법은 하나의 TV 프레임 내에 여러 개의 서브필드를 조합하는 것이며 각 서브필드 내의 휘도는 유지 펄스 개수의 차이에 의해 결정된다. 유지기간 동안 유지 펄스들이 인가되면 똑같은 크기의 강한 플라즈마 방전만 발생하므로 이상적으로 선형적 계조 표현이 용이해 보이지만, 각 서브필드 내에는 계조 표현과 상관없는 기입 방전과 첫 번째 유지 방전이 매번 발생하기 때문에 사실상 선형적 계조 표현이 어려워진다. 그러므로 유지기간 동안 유지 파형의 모양을 변형시켜서 강방전 대신 일부분 약방전도 발생시키는 새로운 유지 구동 파형을 적용하여 계조 표현을 선형에 가깝도록 개선하였다.

본 연구는 문헌정보학 분야 연구논문에서 저자들의 이론 활용 정도를 분석하기 위하여 한국문헌정보학회지와 정보관리학회지를 대상으로 지난 30년간 연구된 654편의 논문에 대한 내용분석이 이루어 졌다. 주요 연구내용은 연구논문의 연대별 생산성, 세부주제영역별 생산성, 연구에 활용된 이론의 유형과 근원, 개별 이론별 활용도, 세부주제 영역별 활용도, 학회지별 활용도 등에 대한 개념적 연구와 실증적 연구가 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 이론의 개념적 기준 설정과 문헌정보연구의 세부주제영역에 대한 새로운 분류 체계, 특히 이론의 활용성을 평가하기 위한 기준으로 ‘이론 활용 5단계’ 모델을 제시하였다.

Let p be a prime number, $Q_{p}$ the field of p-adic numbers, K a finite extension of $Q_{p}$, $\bar{K}}$ a fixed algebraic closure of K and $C_{p}$ the completion of K with respect to the p-adic valuation. Let E be a closed subfield of $C_{p}$, containing K. Given elements $t_1$...,$t_{r}$ $\in$ E for which the field K($t_1$...,$t_{r}$) is dense in E, we construct integral bases of E over K.

We prove that if a subfield of the Hilbert class field of an imaginary quadratic field k meets the anticyclotomic $\mathbb{Z}_p$-extension $k^a_{\infty}$ of k, then it is contained in $k^a_{\infty}$. And we give an example of an imaginay quadratic field k with ${\lambda}_3(k^a_{\infty}){\geq}8$.

Let $K_1, \ldots, K_n$ be fields of transcendence degrees $t_1, \ldots, t_n$ respectively over a common subfield F. O'Carroll and Qureshi [7] conjectured that the tensor product $R = K_1 \otimes K_2 \otimes \ldots \otimes K_n$ is an equidimensional Hilbert ring and proved the conjecture in special cases. Trung proved the conjecture [9] and O'Carroll, Bowman and Howie [3,5] generalized the Trung's result in two directions and obtained two theorems stated below.

We reported the method for the relatively simple equalizing pulse to reduce dynamic false contour. Equalizing pulse is determined by look-up-table and moving direction and velocity of the image. Used lookup-table is a few. If image moves to right or left, necessary LUT is only one for the velocity of 1 pixel/tvfield to right or left. This technique makes the process simple after obtaining motion information.

For the evaluation of the plasma display panel (PDP)'s noise, vibration and sound characteristics of fanless PDP are measured and investigated. PDP is a type of two-electrode vacuum tube which operatres on the same principle as a household fluorescent light. An inert gas such as argon or neon is injected between two glass plates on which transparent electrodes have been formed, and the glass is illuminated by generating discharge. (omitted)

We first find a sufficient condition for a product of theta constants to be a Siegel modular function of a given even level. And, when $K_{(2p)}$ denotes the ray class field of $K=\mathbb{Q}(e^{2{\pi}i/5})$ modulo 2p for an odd prime p, we describe a subfield of $K_{(2p)}$ generated by the special value of a certain theta constant by using Shimura's reciprocity law.

Quantitative analysis of dynamic false contours on PDP is essential to evaluate the performance of algorithms for false contour reduction. It also serves as an optimization criterion for selecting the subfield pattern. In this paper, a color difference in uniform color space is defined as a new measure for dynamic false contours. Unlike the measures in previous works, it accounts for the channel dependencies among the RGB color channels.
