Today the social concern about Interior Design gradually requires wide comprehension. Also according to demanders' requirement. Universities cope with speed. Interior Design made by experts for the function and purpose in the conception of decoration. Therefore, Universities we responsible to educate for more capable professional designers. But management is the first concern for Interior Design Company students are going to work at. Interior Design has not the important state yet in Korea, it is hard to manage the company with design alone. As architecture must get admittion, design is apart from construction. but they are worked together in Interior Design. It is true that all the work of construction is Capenters' or technical engineers' work except space design. Of course students are interested in just design not in construction. Students majoring in design need wide understanding of construction not a concept design. but detailed design for construction and proper valuation ability to manage company. I propose component and practical use of nude construction department to understand detailed design.

In this study, 10th-grade students' conceptions concerning acid rain, ozone layer, and greenhouse effect were investigated. A conception test that asked to explain about the three concepts and the relationships among them was administered to 137 students. Analysis of their responses indicated that students had lack of understanding about the definition of acid rain, the difference between greenhouse effect and global warming, and how to prevent the increase in greenhouse effect. They also confused ozone layer with greenhouse effect. Many students thought that there were causal relationships among the increase of acid rain, the destruction of ozone layer, and the increase in greenhouse effect.

Purpose: This study was done to investigate the relationship between health related lifestyle and health status. Method: A survey was conducted with a questionnaire. Participants were 220 student nurses who were selected from G College, Incheon, Korea. ANOVA, t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient were used to analyze the data on health related lifestyle and health status. Results: First year student nurses had significantly higher score on health related lifestyle than senior students. But the social health status of senior students was significantly higher than that of first year students. Social health status was shown to be high for the students who had never been ill, who lived in their own house, and whose economic status was at the median level. There was a statistically significant correlation between health related lifestyle and health status (physical, emotional and social). Conclusion: Health related lifestyle has a significant influence on physical, emotional and social health. Also health conception, disease experience and economic status are related to physical, social health, and where the student lives has an effect on health related lifestyle.
The aims of this study are to enhance the students' knowledge of the drinking water and its reliability by investigating drinking water situation and the degree of students' knowledge on the drinking water. The results are as follows 1. Status and drinking behavior about school drinking water (1) 97.53% of the schools are using the tap water as the resource of drinking water (2) 46 schools are in possession of water tank and 18 schools of them are using the water tank as the resource of drinking water. The cleaning and sanitization of the tank are carried out once in a year with hypochloronatrium by the low-level officials, nurse teachers, and dietitian. 2. The degree of students' knowledge about drinking water (i) This survey represent that students favor the spring water best and think the tap water worst for drinking. (2) 83% of the students think that the tap water is polluted and these conception are formed mostly by the mass communication. 80% of boys and 90% of girls answered they don't drink plain tap water.

This study investigated 15 Postgraduate students' conception toward the nature of science and the changes of those conceptions through the course called 'Philosophy of Science and Science Education', And another 8 postgrauate students who took the course called 'Mathematical Physics' were also investigated for comparison. A survey questionnaire involving 9 items was developed and administered before and after the course to both groups. Individual interviews with students taking 'Philosophy of Science and Science Education' were carried out in a small scale for obtaining additional information about their background knowledge. The results of this study showed that the students' traditional views of philosophy of science including the objective observation and the inductive method were reduced after the course, 'Philosophy of Science and Science Education'. On the other hand. views of modem philosophy of science including the theory-laden observation, the tentativeness of scientific knowledge and science as human activities became more popular. It was also found that their conceptions towards Science were different according to their previous knowledges on the philosophy of science and their majors.
The purpose of this study was to explore ecological concepts, epistemological reasoning and reasoning processes through constructing 'food web and food pyramid' in ecology. We conducted classes which involved a 'food web and food pyramid' for $6^{th}$ grade students. Each class is constructed of small groups to do modeling and epistemological reasoning through communication. The researcher had videotaped and recorded each class and have made transcription about classes. We analysed patterns of 'food web and food pyramid models' and reasoning processes according to scientific epistemology using transcription data and student outputs. As a result, students represented phenomenon-based reasoning, relation-based reasoning and model-based reasoning in scientific epistemology from their modeling. Students usually did relation-based reasoning and model-based reasoning in food web which explains ecological phenonenon, while they usually did model-based reasoning in food pyramid which expects ecological phenomenon. Student's reasoning can be limited when they have misconception of scientific knowledge and are limited by fragmentary knowledge. This represents that students has to do relation-based reasoning and model-based reasoning is beneficial in their ecological model. It also suggests that students need to define correct-conception related to ecological modeling(food web, food pyramid).

Among many remedial approaches against the increasing unfavorableness toward school science, one of the prevalent findings studied by affective experts is that students' achievement in science and their attitude toward it has a relatively weak relationship. In contrast, cognitive experts assert that the conceptual change involves more than cognitive aspects, and may be influenced by affective factors such as beliefs, motivation, learning attitudes, and sociocultural contexts. The latter regards continuous conceptual change as leading to better student understanding of science with variables of students' attitude toward science. As an initial step toward illuminating the affective-cognitive learning aspects of science, the purpose of this study is to develop an instrument for analyzing the relationship between students' conceptual understanding and affective factors. Cognitive questionnaires from the database of distribution in students' misconceptions of physics (DMP project), and affective questionnaires from the Relevance of Science Education (ROSE project) are integrated into our instrument. The respondents are high school students in Okayama prefecture, Japan. Through the pilot test, the authors integrated attitude toward science (AS) and interest inventory (II) from ROSE into cognitive understanding (CD) from DMP. Statistical methodologies such as factor analysis and item total correlation theoretically discerned the effective sixty-three items from the two original item pools. Having discussed two validity issues, the authors suggest ongoing research associated with our affective-cognitive research perspective.

In this study, we investigated the possibility of using science laboratory reports in identifying students' ideas about discrepant events. A specially designed science laboratory report was developed in this study, and used to collect the information about students' responses toward discrepant events. A total of 839 laboratory reports on the solubility of gas, combustion, and the electrical conductivity of a solution were analyzed. Students' responses in the laboratory reports were classified into eight types; rejection, reinterpretation, exclusion, uncertainty, peripheral theory change, theory change, maintenance of scientific conception, and regressive theory change. In addition, reinterpretation and theory change were further classified into several subcategories. The characteristics of students' responses in this study were discussed in comparison with those of previous studies.

There have been studies about conceptual ecology making a profound study of conceptual changes in learners' cognitive structure. Because learners' cognitive structure have been compared to ecology, it is natural to think that conception in learner's cognitive structure have a niche as species in ecology have niches. Therefore, it is necessary to study niche approach about conception that learners recognize in their cognitive structure. The purposes of this study were to identify relationships among conceptions that 5th grade elementary school students recognize about photosynthesis and to identify how these relationships among conceptions about photosynthesis change before and after a class of photosynthesis in curriculum in terms of an approach of ecological niche which are composed of 3 domains - diversity of conceptions, relevance and frequency rate of conceptions, and competition among conceptions. Open ended questionnaire was developed by 4 fields: photosynthetic place, photosynthetic products, photosynthetic materials needed and environment factors of photosynthesis. The subjects sampled in this study were 310 5th grade elementary students in 5 cites. Before and after classes in photosynthesis in science curriculum, students were asked to write down conceptions that they knew about the 4 fields of photosynthesis of questionnaire and to write down scales of relevance from 1 to 30 about how they think the conceptions are related to the field of photosynthesis. The results of this study showed the following: First, most students have had a variety of conceptions and commonly recognized 'light' and 'water' as concepts in photosynthesis. Second, students still recognized their preconceptions like 'soil' and 'root,' etc. that were far from scientific conceptions of photosynthesis although they took classes in photosynthesis. Third, students needed to take the various strategies of teachers because they did not recognized scientific conceptions appropriately about photosynthetic fields. Fourth, it appeared that photosynthetic conceptions recognized by students had status in terms of relevance and frequency rate of conceptions, and competition among conceptions, and that they looked like the niche of conceptions in their conceptual ecologies.

The purpose of the study is to understand the change process of middle school students' physics conceptions by the presented types of conflict situations. 274 middle school students were selected from one school in Pusan, however 257 students were participated in all the procedure of the study. After we classified students' physics conceptions into scientific and unscientific conceptions, presented three types of conflict situations. In this study three different cognitive conflict strategies were adopted; the first one is logical arguments(LCS: logical conflict situation), the second is actual demonstration(DCS: demonstrational conflict situation), and the third is two strategies together(DLCS). In this study, first, we investigated the change process of students' physics conceptions by three types of conflict situations. Second, we compared the effect of three conflict situations presentation, which includes positive effect by conceptual change from misconception to scientific conception and negative effect by conceptual change from scientific conception to misconception. Third, we studied characteristics of conceptual change by characteristics of conflict situations. In result, DLCS group and DCS group were more positive effect than LCS group in mechanics, DLCS group and LCS group were more positive effect than DCS group in electricity. It seems that mechanics are closely related to physical experiences, while electricity are more abstract.
