Although the officially confirmed incidence of the acquired immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS) has remained low thus far in Korea, the progression of the pandemic has been rapid, concerned about an eventual increase in transmission. Until a vaccine or cure is found, public information and education remain an important weapon against AIDS. For the year 2000, the current WHO projection is that there will be a cumulative total of 40 million HIV infections in man, woman and children, of which more than 90% will be in the developing countries. The incerased mortality among adults and children has raised concerns that AIDS may become so devastaing as to reverse positive population growth rates and wipe out entire population. In order to plan for the rising incidence of patient with AIDS, an assessment of AIDS-related cognition and behavior, attitude of the recognized high-risk groups is necessary. Considering that undergraduates have sexuality active and more oriented toward sexual concerns than other ages. Adolescents today are more sexually involved than in the past: The media, including films, music, and television, reinforce sexual concerns by preseating images of highly sexual adolescents. Incidence of both petting and sexual intercourse in higher and occurs at earlier ages, they are important reservoir of AIDS infection. Hence, it has become important to emymerats and describe the knowledge, attitude and behavior of them, I want.. This information will eventually guide the direction of change in public policies and education programs to meet the challenges of AIDS. The objective of this study were to identity Knowledge, Attitude, Experience of Sex and AIDS in Korea. The data were collected by survey at Korean Federation for AIDS Affairs, INC. and J university, K junior college. After October in 1993, surveyed with 507 student during their's college days in Seoul. The questionnaire was designed to provide information on sex and AIDS-related knowledge and attitudes and experience. AIDS-related knowledge was measured by using 26 questions on mode of transmission and AIDS-related attitudes were measured by 7 questions, AIDS-related experience was measured by 5 questions. There were the main dependent variables in our study, In conclusion, students during their university day need to develop AIDS-preventive education programs. Clearly, the many AIDS-prevention educational effort need to be guided by well trained health agents. Financial supports from all sectors (i.e., public and private) of our society are required to achieve that end. Further researches on AIDS-related Knowledge and Attitude and behaviors of undergraduates are needed for the development of comprehensive AIDS prevention programs.

This study attempted to illustrate in-depth light on the process of experiencing the campus life of university life of students specialized in golf who are forming new exercise culture in a transitional state students based on the grounded approach. For this, it selected 10 athletic students as research participants majoring in golf in A University in Chungcheong-do and collected data through in-depth interviews. As for the data analysis, the coding paradigm was composed to derive concepts and clarify the relations between concepts according to the grounded theoretical analysis suggested by Strauss and Corbin (1990), and the research results are as follows: First, 117 concepts, 16 subcategories, and 10 upper categories were deducted in the open coding. Second, the causal conditions were categorized into "University Life of Contactless Classes," contextual elements into "Practical Exercise," and "Participation in Classes," and the central phenomenon was regarded as the "Meaning of University Life as a University Athletic Student (golf)." As a result of reviewing the process of exercise and study at the same time, the conditions of arbitration were summarized as "Relation Formation" and "Ability Improvement," and the action/interaction strategies were categorized as "Academic Research" and "Negative Thinking," and at last, the results were composed of "Looking Back at the Past University Life," "Identity," and "Future Design." Based on these research results, the model of doing exercise and study at the same time of the university athletic students (golf) was categorized by the grounded theoretical paradigm procedure, and the university athletic students (golf) continued their university life without rest as their exercise life was influenced positively by academic life, and in addition, policy implications for enhancing the competency of student athletes who can encompass both exercise and study were presented.
The purpose of the present study is to observe in-depth what kind of changes the establishment of a female basketball team in a college of education and the experiences the female basketball players have within that situation bring to their lives and their paths in life and social implications. To achieve this purpose, the female basketball team at the Department of Physical Education in P University was selected as a research environment and its members as research participants and qualitative research was conducted. Research results showed first, that female basketball athletes were already on a set path before they entered college. They had not thought about their path in life independently and had a passive attitude towards their life paths and were experiencing a culture in which studies were not permitted. Second, female basketball athletes discovered a new path upon college entrance. While meeting various friends, they gained friends and not just colleagues and after becoming aware that the main character in their lives is 'themselves', they showed autonomy. Based on this, factors for their change, which are the implications of this study, were first, the environment of P University's college of education which has strict regulations and a strong emphasis on academics when compared to other universities, second, the identity of being the first enrollments into the female basketball team of P University's college of education and the distinct characteristics of being a female athlete, third, the group's leader who contributed to their positively directed change. Ultimately, these factors served an important role in leading their change in the large frame of a university environment.

Internet is becoming increasingly popular due to the rapid development of information and communication technology. There has been a convenient social activities such as the mutual exchange of information, e-commerce, internet banking, etc. through cyberspace on a computer. However, by using the convenience of the internet, the personal IDs(identity card, driving license, passport, student ID, etc.) represented by the electronic media are exposed on the internet frequently. Therefore, this study propose a feature extraction method to analyze the characteristics of image files containing personal information and a image retrieval method to find the images using the extracted features. The proposed method selects the feature information from color, texture, and shape of the images, and the images as searched by similarity analysis between feature information. The result which it experiments from the image which it acquires from the web-based image DB and correct image retrieval rate is 89%, the computing time per frame is 0.17 seconds. The proposed method can be efficiently apply a system to search the image files containing personal information and to determine the criteria of exposure of personal information.

This research aimed to grasp the recognition of the amenity of the university students residing in Gyo-dong residential area in Gangneung city, the local residents residing in Daehag-ro which is near Jungang-ro in downtown and the public servants related to city development in Gangneung city office and thereby propose a plan to improve the amenity of Gangneung city. Based on the result of the research, the university student group around Gyo-dong residential area mostly recognized the amenity and the local residents around Daehag-ro showed insufficient recognition of the amenity and some of related public servants were found to be ignorant of the term amenity. Also, the priorities of amenity indexes identified from these 3 groups commonly showed aliveness requiring green lands and watercourses on top but 2nd priority of each group tended to be different from each other. Through the research result as above, we would like to propose the plan to improve as follows. First, the recognition of the concept of amenity is necessary. Second, green lands and watercourses that were selected by all of the 3 groups as ranking no. 1 should be secured. Third, the value of amenity resources should be evaluated. Gangneung city is a city where mountains and the sea are harmonized together granting abundant god blessed natural resources. But if Gangneung city would imprudently reclaims the excellent god blessed natural environment under the good title of city and housing lands development, its ranking in city competitiveness evaluations will be expected to continue descending. Therefore, as proposed in this research, the thing that has to be implemented with first priority for amenity Gangneung city is the execution of amenity policy to secure the identity of Gangneung city and the aspect of regulations or systems should also be pursued together with the policy.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors that influence ego-resilience among adolescents who have experienced abuse by parents in South Korea. Methods: This correlational study used the 4th year cross-sectional data of the seventh-grade middle school students who participated in the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) in fourth grade. Data analysis was performed by using SPSS/WIN 23.0 program, which included descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlations coefficient, and hierarchical regression. Results: The results of the hierarchical regression of model 5 revealed that the quality of peer relations played the most significant role in predicting ego-resilience of abused adolescents, followed by self-identity. Also, self-esteem, the quality of teacher-student relationships, excessive expectations from parents, and community awareness had a significant impact on the variance of self-resilience in abused adolescents. This regression model explained 42% of the variance. Conclusion: This study showed that ego-resilience, an asset and resource to help adolescents overcome adverse effects of abuse, was influenced by social environment as well as individual factors. In addition, social support from peers and teachers had greater influence on ego-resilience than support from family members. Thus, the factors identified in this study need to be considered in programs designed to improve ego-resilience as well as in policies for abused adolescents.
Most education materials on sexuality developed in the past 10 years have not been thoroughly evaluated. This study provides results from a content analysis of 5 education materials for primary, middle and high school student. The results of this study were as follows: The Analysis Framework was developed to measure content in the education materials. It was organized into six domains. They are "Human Development", "Relationship", "Personal Skills", "Sexual Behavior", "Sexual Health", "Society and Culture". Each was associated topics and age appropriate developmental guides. The standard for analysis was the developmental guide suggested by the analysis framework. Each education material was assessed for developemtal guidance and its appropriateness for primary, middle and high school students. The total number of "being" responses to each developmental guidance equaled the score the material earned. These scores then were judged as to how well each education materials was comprehensive. 3 of 5 education materials were addressed as less than half the developmental guidline. Certain education materials were less comprehensive than others. I want to know 'Sexuality' covered the fewest developmental guidliness (34.6%). Interstingly, certain domains received much more coverage across all education materials than others. Most education materials provided instruction concerning "Human Development" (62.6%), "Sexual Health" (61.0%). However, topics such as "Personal Skills" (16.2%), "Relationship" (44.1%), "Sexual Behavior" (46.8%), "Society and Culture" (48.6%) were rarely addressed. Three topic, "negotiation", "sexual fantasy", "sexual dysfunction", were never addressed by most of the materials. Because several of the education material contained gender and sexual orientation biases. Certain topics such as "sexual identity and orientation" and "Gender role" were not adequately addressed by most of the material. Unfortunately, the overall findings of this study revealed that most of the education materials were considered insufficient for students. Because this study focused on whether or not the education materials addressed the developmental guidlines, further research is recommended to evaluate and addressed each developmental guidline.

This study suggests the direction of fashion design education suitable for Korea by comparing the fashion design educational systems and the curricula of the main fashion institutions in Europe and those of some universities in Korea. For this, 6 fashion schools in UK, France and Italy and 12 four-year-course universities in Korea were sellected. At first, the educational systems of the nations above and the information about the selected institutions were examined through literature reviews. Then, case studies were performed about the curricula and the other characteristics of the selected fashion design courses by each website or leaflet as well as additional interviews with their course directors or graduates. The results of this study are as follow: First, Korean fashion design education system needs to be specialized and subdivided with a curriculum centered on fashion design. Second, a foundation course needs to be developed to raise a broad and creative approach for design as well as to discover each student's aptitude. Third, the curricula about design process and research methodology need to raise a problem-solving individual of ability. Fourth, a project-based fashion design education is required by a specialized education as well as multi-disciplinary programs. Fifth, an industry- related and market-based fashion design education is asked through internships, professional teaching staff, industry-sponsored projects, seminars and professional design critics. Sixth, English and technology needs to be added to the curricula to develop global professionals. Finally, a cultural fashion design education based on Korean identity is required to develop the Korean fashion industry into a higher value-added business.
The aim of this study was to establish the identity of Korean traditional food based on the recorded food preferences during the period of the Chosun Dynasty. Our primary source in this regard was the invaluable, historical document called the "Miam's diary." This important document reveals details of such food preferences from October 1567 to September 1568. By analyzing the income-expenditure trends of virtually every household, this diary was used to describe a vivid traditional food preference of the people during that period. A detailed analysis of the diary reveals the summary of families' characteristics in the 16th century. First, it records the fact that expenditure on food was mainly based on stipend and gifts received. The type of food preferred by the people was diverse in nature; for it included rice, bean, chicken, pheasant, and seafood. However, there were dried or pickled forms too so as to prevent them from undergoing decay. Second, it throws light on the fact that people expended food mainly as a salary for servants. People utilized the income from selling such food items to purchase goods and land. They also used the same either to donate for a funeral or wedding purpose. Third, it records the fact that day-to-day purchase of groceries was mostly based on gift(s) for someone close to them such as a neighbor, colleague, relative, or student. Further, such gifts included small groceries, food items, and clothes. Fourth, based on the data available in the diary, it seemed likely that the gentry families laid emphasis on the customary formalities of a family dating back to as early as the late 16th century. Finally, the document also records the fact that noblemen of the Chosun Dynasty had a notion that they had to extend warmth and affection by presenting generous gifts to their guests at home. Noblemen during that period were very particular in welcoming their guests as they believed that this approach alone would testify their status as noblemen.

A distance learning is diffusing rapidly in society. It is more difficult to confirm a learner's identity and learning processing in a distance learning. Distance learning has a checking attendance system because a teacher and student do not meet face to face. There are some checking attendance systems such as login check, SMS authenticating system, unexpected quiz, and so on. However, existing checking attendance system has some problems to check learner's attendance in a whole lesson. Therefore, this study designed and developed learner's attendance system based on PC camera's shot of certification in a whole lesson. This attendance checking system can judge real attendance of learners in a distance learning and distance evaluation. The system is expected to make trust of a distance learning higher.
