In engineering education, stimulating students' questions and encouraging learning participation are crucial for achieving higher-order thinking abilities. This study aims to investigate the use and effect of an online communication channel in fostering engineering students' questioning abilities. Consequently, in this research, we gauged students' satisfaction with an engineering class that implemented a communication channel, and scrutinized the changes in their perceptions regarding the significance of questions, their engagement in learning, and their academic self-efficacy. In addition, we interviewed the students who participated in the class. The outcomes are as follows: Firstly, student satisfaction improved compared to the previous semester's class where the communication channel was not utilized. Secondly, learners' understanding of the importance of asking questions positively escalated, alongside their actual frequency of posing questions. Thirdly, there was an improvement in learners' active engagement in their studies and their academic self-confidence. The findings of this research suggest that communication channels should be employed to motivate learners to pose questions and involve students in effective learning.

This study aimed to test the factor structure of the measure of student participation in distance education. The study population consisted of all teachers in public education and faculty members in higher education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by applying it to a sample of bachelor's and graduate students at the college of Education at umm al-Qura University. The (ESE) was applied to a random sample representing the study population consisting of (216) respondents. The results of the study showed that the scale consists of three main factors, with showed a high degree of construct validity through fit indices of the confirmatory factor analysis. The results have shown a gradual consistency of the measure's invariance that reaches the high level of the Measurement Invariance across the gender and study groups variables.

Covid-19이후 대학에서 비대면 수업이 필수적인 수업방식으로 채택되면서 학생의 수업참여를 독려할 수 있는 수업전략에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 수업참여는 교육의 질을 높일 수 있는 선행 요건이기에 비대면 수업에서는 더욱 중요한 요건일 수밖에 없다. 따라서 본 연구는 2020년 이후 비대면 혹은 비대면과 대면 수업의 혼용으로 운영되어 온 D대학의 교수자 3인이 학생의 수업참여를 높이기 위해 시도한 경험과 고민을 살펴 보았다. 그 결과, 비대면 수업 초기 교수자와 학생 모두 시행착오를 거쳤으나 시간이 지남에 따라 학생들은 적극적으로 자신의 의견을 표현할 뿐 아니라 자발적으로 수업활동을 확장시켜 나가는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 교수자 주도의 수업이 대면과 비대면의 적절한 조화와 다양한 매체의 활용으로 학습자 참여형 수업으로 발전할 수 있는 가능성을 발견하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 논의에 필요한 데이터는 자서전적 연구방법을 통해 수집하였다.

To improve students' classroom engagement is not only the demand of curriculum revolution, but also the reflection of learning democracy. Students' responses and thinking are the main manifestations of students' participation in classroom learning. To reduce the amount of questions and increase the opportunities and time for students to think, this study, by employing SPSS, makes attempts to analyze the data by using multivariate GLM analysis to explore the effects of students' responses and thinking on learning results. The results indicated the students learning effect will be promoted through reducing the quantity and increasing the quality of question and adding the thinking opportunities.

고객 인게이지먼트는 고객과 브랜드 간의 물리적 그리고 정서적 연결을 의미한다. 고객의 인게이지먼트 정도가 높은 경우 더 많이 구매하고, 더 많이 홍보하며, 더 많은 충성도를 보여준다. 본 연구는 대학 서비스 분야에서 고객들인 학생들이 대학교 내에서 여러 서비스 활동에 대한 인게이지먼트가 학과와 학교에 대한 충성도를 높일 수 있다는 가정에서 출발하여 다음과 같은 시사점을 제시하고 있다. 대학 서비스에서 고객 인게이지먼트는 대학생들이 대학에 만족하고 난 후 대학에 대한 충성도를 강화하는 역할을 한다고 볼 수 있다. 대학만족에 미치는 영향도 있지만 만족 후 더 높은 수준의 마케팅 목표일 수 있는 충성도를 높이는데 큰 역할을 할 수 있다는 것이다. 대학 서비스 인게이지먼트 요소 중 중심적 요소 중에서는 학생들이 미래 취업을 위한 역량 강화 및 진로 관련 활동들을 통해 학과 및 학교 충성도가 높아질 수 있다는 점을 알 수 있었으며 주변적 요소 중에서도 친교활동이 학과나 학교 충성도에 매우 중요한 영향요소로 나타났다. 학생들의 미래 취업을 위한 여러 가지 프로그램과 친교를 맺을 수 있는 여러 가지 프로그램을 통해 충성도를 강화시킬 수 있는 시스템을 구축하는 것이 무엇보다도 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 추가적인 조사에서 학생 집단별 구체적인 인게이지먼트의 조절효과를 검증하지는 못했지만 학생 집단 중 학점이 높은 집단은 중심적 요소 뿐만 아니라 주변적 요소에서도 인게이지먼트 정도가 매우 높은 것으로 나타나 학점이 높은 학생은 주변적 요소에 상대적으로 덜 몰입될 것이라는 상식과는 다르다고 생각된다.

본 연구의 목적은 학업수행과 성취결과에 주요한 예측변인 중 하나인 학업참여(academic engagement)를 측정하는 UWES-S(Utrecht Work Engagement Scale-Student)(Schaufeli et al., 2002a; 2002b) 척도를 타당화 하고, 학업참여와 학업동기 및 학업 만족도 간의 구조적인 관계를 파악하는 것이다. 본 연구의 타당화 표본은 우리나라 대학생들로써, 예비검사 285명, 본검사 366명으로 구성되었고, 그 절차는 다음과 같다. 첫째, UWES-S의 17개 문항에 대한 기술통계치 검토 및 척도의 요인구조 탐색을 위한 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 둘째, 문항의 심리측정학적 특성을 검토하기 위하여 등급반응모형에 기반한 문항 특성치를 추정하였다. 셋째, 척도의 내적타당도를 검증하기 위해 확인적 요인분석이 실시되었으며, 외적 타당도 확보를 위해서는 학업동기 및 학업만족 변인을 포함한 구조방정식 모형이 활용되었다. 이에 따른 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 예비검사의 자료를 활용한 기술통계치 검토 및 탐색적 요인분석 결과 3요인 구조가 지지되었으며, 4개의 문항이 제거된 최종 13개 문항이 제안되었다. 둘째, 등급반응모형에 의해서 추정된 문항 특성치들을 검토한 결과, 최종 문항의 양호도는 수용 가능한 수준이었고, 또한 학업참여 척도의 3요인 모형(열정, 헌신, 몰두)은 자료에 잘 부합하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 외적타당도 검증 결과, 학업참여는 학업동기와 학업만족을 부분매개 하는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 본 연구에서 타당화 된 대학생용 UWES-S와 기존에 타당화 된 고등학생용 UWES-S(추헌택, 손원숙, 2011)와의 차이점을 논의하고, 표본별 학업참여 구인의 동등성 검증의 필요성 및 추후 척도 타당화 연구를 위한 제언을 포함하였다.

One challenge with teaching practical programming classes is the standardization of development tools on student computers. This is particularly true when a complicated setup process is required before beginning to code, or in remote classes, such as those necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic, where the instructor cannot provide individual troubleshooting assistance. In such cases, students who encounter problems during the setup process may give up on the class altogether before even beginning to code. Therefore, this paper recommends using GitHub Codespaces as a tool for implementing standardized student development environments from day one. Codespaces provides Docker containers that an instructor can configure in such a way as to enable students to practice installing various coding tools within a controlled space, while also providing a language-specific, fully optimized development environment. In addition, Codespaces may be used more effectively in collaboration with GitHub Classroom, which helps instructors manage both the starter code and coding environment in which students work. In this paper, we compare two semesters of university Node.JS programming classes that utilized different development environments: one localized on student computers, the other containerized in Codespaces online. Then, we discuss how GitHub Codespaces and GitHub Classroom can be used to increase the effectiveness of practical programming classes while also increasing student engagement and programming confidence in class.

본 연구는 중국 대학생을 대상으로 학업소진이 학습몰입을 경유하여 학업자기효능감에 미치는 영향에서 성장 마인드셋의 조절된 매개효과를 검증하는 데 연구의 목적이 있다. 자료는 중국의 한 전문대학교에서 유의표집한 대학생 547명을 대상으로 설문조사를 통하여 수집하였다. 수집한 자료는 SPSS PC+ Win ver. 25.0과 SPSS PROCESS macro ver. 4.2를 활용하여 분석하였다. 적용된 통계방법은 빈도분석, 신뢰도분석, 상관분석 및 조절된 매개효과분석이었다. 연구의 결론은 첫째, 학업소진은 성장 마인드셋, 학습몰입 및 학업자기효능감과 유의미한 부적상관관계를 보였다. 반면 성장 마인드셋, 학습몰입과 학업자기효능감은 서로 유의미한 정적인 상관관계를 보였다. 둘째, 학업소진이 학습몰입을 경유하여 학업자기효능감에 미치는 영향에서 성장 마인드셋의 조절된 매개효과가 검증되었다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 본 연구는 대학생들의 학업소진이 학업자기효능감을 감소시키는 상황에서 학습몰입과 성장 마인드셋을 적용하여 학업자기효능감를 보호하는 방안을 제시하였다.

본 연구는 간호대학생을 대상으로 학습열의, 학업적 자기효능감이 문제해결능력에 미치는 영향을 확인하기 위해 시도되었다. 본 연구는 B시의 간호대학생 219명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, 피어슨 상관계수, 다중회귀분석으로 분석하였다. 대상자의 문제해결능력 평균 4.00±0.51점이었고, 일반적 특성에 따른 문제해결능력의 차이는 전공만족도(F=9.476, p<.001), 수업만족도(F=3.079, p=.048)에서 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 대상자의 문제해결능력은 학습열의(r=.560, p<.001), 학업적 자기효능감(r=.634, p<.001)과 정적상관관계를 나타냈다. 대상자의 학습열의는 학업적 자기효능감(r=.769, p<.001)과 정적상관관계를 나타냈다. 대상자의 문제해결능력에 영향을 미치는 요인은 학업열의(β=.177, p=.031), 학업적 자기효능감(β=.498, p<.001)으로 확인되었고, 설명력은 41.0%로 나타났다. 따라서 간호대학생의 문제해결능력을 향상시키기 위해 학습열의와 학업적 자기효능감을 향상시킬 수 있는 프로그램 개발이 필요하다.

Since the inception of the platform business in educational contents, the prominence of the online educational video has flipped the educational environment. Educational contents have been produced on the internet and allowed learners to access more flexible and student-centered. In fact, the number of people watching the educational content online, such as TED talks and YouTube, has increased during the past decade. The ways of delivering the lecture and the course information in online educational videos are totally different from the traditional lectures. In this paper, we aimed to examine and categorize the online educational videos based on the user's engagement and interest in the course contents. For the study, a negative binomial regression analysis was applied to estimate the effects of the attributes of the traditional lectures by comparatively analyzing the educational videos online. Several values are determined as engaging factors in the online educational videos; hybrid production of education and entertainment, shorter duration, and the number of presenters. From the study, we suggests how to produce engaging educational contents which will appeal the attentions from the users. Moreover, the result of the study may use as a guide to the providers making the productive educational videos.
