  • Objectives: This study was undertaken in order to evaluate by work space zoning and structure the concentrations of biological contaminants in the indoor air of domestic office buildings. Methods: Air samples were collected in the office spaces of 15 office buildings in Seoul from June 28 to July 28, 2011. Prior to the sampling, each office was classified into 'open-plan office', 'cellular office' and 'mixed office' according to the work space zoning. To evaluate the biological contamination of indoor air, total suspended bacteria (TSB), Gram positive bacteria (GPB), Staphylococcus aureus (S.A), Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Gram negative bacteria (GNB) and fungi were investigated. During the sampling, temperature, relative humidity and carbon dioxide ($CO_2$) were measured. Results: The TSB concentrations ($GM{\pm}GSD$) were $452({\pm}1.3)cfu/m^3$ in open-plan offices, $366({\pm}1.3)cfu/m^3$ in cellular offices and $287({\pm}1.5)cfu/m^3$ in mixed offices, and there were significant differences between the three groups (p<0.05). The highest concentrations ($GM{\pm}GSD$) of fungi were found in the indoor air of cellular offices $128({\pm}1.0)cfu/m^3$, which was at least three times higher than the concentrations in mixed offices $43({\pm}1.0)cfu/m^3$ (p<0.05). Conclusions: Microbiological contamination in the indoor air of office buildings by work space structure was the highest with the open-plan office layout which includes no high walls or doors separating the occupants.

  • The impurity doped ZnO has been extensively studied because of its optoelectric properties. GIZO (Ga-In-Zn-O) amorphous oxide semiconductors has been widely used as transparent flexible semiconductor material. Recently, various amorphous transparent semiconductors such as IZO (In-Zn-O), GIZO, and HIZO (Hf-In-Zn-O) were developed. In this work, we examined the local structures of IZO, GIZO, and HIZO. The local coordination structure was investigated by the extended X-ray absorption fine structure. The IZO, GIZO and HIZO thin films ware deposited on the glass substrate with thickness of 400nm by the radio frequency sputtering method. The targets were prepared by the mixture of $In_2O_3$, ZnO and $HfO_2$ powders. The percent ratio of In:Zn in IZO, Ga:In:Zn in GIZO and Hf:In:Zn in HIZO was 45:55, 33:33:33 and 10:35:55, respectively. In this work, we found that IZO, GIZO and HIZO are all amorphous and have a similar local structure. Also, we obtained the bond distances of $d_{Ga-O}=1.85\;{\AA}$, $d_{Zn-O}=1.98\;{\AA}$, $d_{Hf-O}=2.08\;{\AA}$, $d_{In-O}=2.13\;{\AA}$.

  • The existing underground trenchless methods use reinforcing rod in steel tube to obtain structural stiffness. However, there are some problems such as inconvenience of work and expensive material fee which are resulted from limited working space and reinforcing work. To resolve these problems, a new trenchless method, namely P.S.T method (Prestressed Segment Tunnel Method), is developed which uses joint to connect the steel segment and form erection structure in underground construction. Further, installing strands for prestressing. In order to evaluate the flexural capacity of the P.S.T method structure, experiment was conducted. The parameters considered in the experiment are the span-to-depth ratio, diameter of steel tube at corner, prestressing force and welding of joint. Altogether examining the flexural behavior, the effect of deflection in structure according to different parameters has also been analysised.

  • The adsorption configurations of S-proline on Ge(100) were studied using scanning tunneling microscopy (STM), density functional theory (DFT) calculations, and high-resolution core-level photoemission spectroscopy (HRCLPES). We identified three adsorption structures of S-proline on Ge(100) through analysis of the STM images, DFT calculations, and HRCLPES results: (i) an 'intrarow O - H dissociated and N dative bonded structure', (ii) an 'O - H dissociation structure', and (iii) an 'N dative bonded structure'. Moreover, because adsorption through the N atom of S-proline produces a new chiral center due to symmetry reduction by N dative bonding, the adsorption configurations have either (R,S) or (S,S) chirality, yielding an (R,S)-'intrarow O - H dissociated and N dative bonded structure' and an (R,S)-'N dative bonded structure', with a preference for reaction at the Re face. This work presents a novel method for generating stereoselective attachment using S-proline molecules adsorbed onto a Ge(100) surface.

  • With an active structural involvement in spiral case structure (SCS) that is always the design and research focus of hydroelectric power plant (HPP), the compressible membrane sandwiched between steel spiral case and surrounding reinforced concrete was often assumed to be linear elastic material in conventional design analysis of SCS. Unfortunately considerable previous studies have proved that the foam material serving as membrane exhibits essentially nonlinear mechanical behavior. In order to clarify the effect of membrane (foam) material's nonlinear stress-strain behavior on SCS, this work performed a case study on SCS with a compressible membrane using the ABAQUS code after a sound calibration of the employed constitutive model describing foam material. In view of the successful capture of fitted stress-strain curve of test by the FEM program, we recommend an application and dissemination of the simulation technique employed in this work for membrane material description to structural designers of SCS. Even more important, the case study argues that taking into account the nonlinear stress-strain response of membrane material in loading process is definitely essential. However, we hold it unnecessary to consider the membrane material's hysteresis and additionally, employment of nonlinear elastic model for membrane material description is adequate to the structural design of SCS. Understanding and accepting these concepts will help to analyze and predict the structural performance of SCS more accurately in design effort.

  • In A institute, project managers present quarterly project performance report according to institute's law. In quarterly project performance report, progress of project performance and budget expended should be written. Progress of project performance and progress of budget expended are key management factors in A institute. Because financial database system Is already constructed, progress of budget expended is got from information system. But the progress of project performance that project manager estimate subjectively can not be judged of its correctness because there is not project management information system that is able to calculate the progress of project performance systematically. In this study, we present the project management system assign all activities to every project participator according to their work share rate using WBS(Work Breakdown Structure) and calculate the progress of project performance systematically Also we construct project management information system for above project management system implementing.

  • The interaction of oxygen with polycrystalline nickel surface has been studied by investigating the X-ray photoelectron spectra of O 1s, Ni $2p_{3/2}$, and their valence band electrons. By comparing the oxygen exposure of this work with the reported results of LEED, AES, and work function measurements, it is found that the atomic oxygen, adsorbed dissociatively in the initial stage of exposure, is responsible for a p(2 ${\times}$ 2) structure and a subsequent c(2 ${\times}$ 2) structure on the Ni(100) surface. This dissociatively adsorbed oxygen species forms surface NiO layer subsequently on further oxygen exposure. The NiO layer is more easily formed with the increasing temperature. Non-stoichiometric oxygen species is also found to accompany the NiO layer. It appears prior to the formation of bulk NiO at all of the temperatures of this work except at 523K.

  • Optical character recognition (OCR) automatically recognizes text in an image. OCR is still a challenging problem in computer vision. A successful solution to OCR has important device applications, such as text-to-speech conversion and automatic document classification. In this work, we analyze character recognition performance using the current state-of-the-art deep-learning structures. One is the AlexNet structure, another is the LeNet structure, and the other one is the SPNet structure. For this, we have built our own dataset that contains digits and upper- and lower-case characters. We experiment in the presence of salt-and-pepper noise or Gaussian noise, and report the performance comparison in terms of recognition error. Experimental results indicate by five-fold cross-validation that the SPNet structure (our approach) outperforms AlexNet and LeNet in recognition error.

  • This study is to investigate the related materials such as domestic law regulation, research paper, research report, and the other material, and to suggest suitable counter measures, to find out hazard degree for its works of workers and work place through direct survey, in order to determine risk score of each hazardous work which is designated by the Government, without consideration of labour's consciousness against risk level at a site. Therefore, a new questionnaire survey related to the decision of risk level are made and distributed to find out what risk level each worker recognizes. Also, the authors tried to approach reasonable conclusions after discussing reasonability of qualification standard and improving ideas of worker at hazardous work places with worker, faculty member, H&S manager, labour union. And the results show hazard degrees by each work kind of the above: 3.75 for working with machinery, 3.7 for steel structure, 3.5 for operation of tower crane, 3.51 for retaining wall, 3.85 for form work, 3.46 for scaffolding are obtained. This quantified risk can be applied to establishing a reasonable system to keep safe against hazardous works.

  • Since a large bank-protection works project was undertaken during winter in the middle reaches of the Chikuma, the riverbed structure was drastically altered. In order to assess the short-term impact of bank-protection works on the abundance Pattern of Stenopsyche marmorata (Trichoptera) from spring to early summer, we conducted an investigation on the capture of adults using light traps before and after construction work. The patterns of the daily capture of S. marmorata and the Namely, after construction, the daily catch of adult numbers increased only slightly during the investigation periods. This suggested that the age structure of the S. marmorata larval population had changed in the construction area. Our data suggest that bank-protection projects impact the abundance pattern of adult caddisflies in the river ecosystem.
