Because the framed wall system using steel studs and runners with square steel tubes as structural elements is reinforced by the horizontal members called runners, it has more strength and load bearing capacity than the steel house wall system. Also, this system improves adiabatic and sound insulation performance by filling up the autoclaved lightweight concrete. We need to evaluate load bearing capacity according to the axial load and lateral load in case this system is applied in the housing system with 3~5 stories through variations in intervals for the runners under the placement effect of autoclaved lightweight concrete. Therefore, this study seeks to analyze axial and shear behavior of the framed wall system according to the placement effect of autoclaved lightweight concrete, and to secure safety for the vertical and lateral loads.
Ultra-lightweight cement composite (ULCC) with a compressive strength of 60 MPa and density of $1,450kg/m^3$ has been developed and used in the steel-concrete-steel (SCS) sandwich structures. This paper investigates the structural performances of SCS sandwich composite beams with ULCC as filled material. Overlapped headed shear studs were used to provide shear and tensile bond between the face plate and the lightweight core. Three-dimensional nonlinear finite element (FE) model was developed for the ultimate strength analysis of such SCS sandwich composite beams. The accuracy of the FE analysis was established by comparing the predicted results with the quasi-static tests on the SCS sandwich beams. The FE model was also applied to the nonlinear analysis on curved SCS sandwich beam and shells and the SCS sandwich beams with J-hook connectors and different concrete core including ULCC, lightweight concrete (LWC) and normal weight concrete (NWC). Validations were also carried out to check the accuracy of the FE analysis on the SCS sandwich beams with J-hook connectors and curved SCS sandwich structure. Finally, recommended FE analysis procedures were given.

It is necessary to generalize the use for structural ALA Concrete in our country, as increasing in the need for the development of ALA and the use of ALA Concrete which is related with the diminution of the self load and foundation section of structure responding to the realistic requirement against the decrease of natural aggregate and the high-rising and large-sizing of structures. This little study, therefore intended to help in the mixing design of concrete by considering the fundamental properties of ALA Concrete used with expanded clay, which is considered by acopting the experimental factors such as unit cement content, water cement ratio and the rate of fine aggregate. By considering the results of this experiment, it has difficulty in getting expected slump with the unit water content of normal concrete because of the large absorption of lightweight aggregate, and because the weight of unit volume and specific gravity ALA Concrete are small it appears that the strength and Elastic Modulus of that are small too and that it is more ductile than normal concrete.
The objective of this study is to obtain the mechanical characteristics of prefoarmed lightweight foamed concrete using the polymer ham agent which has high lightness. flowability and strength. For this purpose, the prefoarmed lightweight foamed concrete which was developed to have flow value over 180mm. unit weight between 0.38t/$m^3$ and 0.64t/$m^3$, and compressive strength about 30kg/$cm^2$ was used. This paper presents extensive test data on Young's modulus. Poisson's ratio, stress-strain curve, the characteristics of strength of the foamed concrete and also presents the mechanical characteristics of the foamed concrete with different foam sizes. It is expected that this study provides an importance guide to design and manufacture lightweight foam concrete, so that it helps to expand its structural use.

Normally, Structural light-weight aggregate concrete(LWC) has been main used in high rise building with the object of wight loss. In spite of LWC have the advantage of light-weight, limit the use of strength restrictions by reason that explosive spalling in fire. Especially, LWC is occurred serious fire performance deterioration by explosive spalling. Thus, this study is concerned with fire performance of LWC for the purpose of using PP fibers prevent to explosive spalling. From the experimental test result, LWC is happened explosive spalling.

The use of steel-concrete composite members has been significantly increased as they have the advantages of the reduction of cross sectional areas, excellent ductility against earthquake loadings and a longer life span than typical steel frame members. The increased use of composite members requires an intensive study on the shear resistance evaluation of stud connectors in high strength concrete. However, the applicability of currently available standards is limited to composite members with normal and lightweight strength concrete. In this paper, push-out tests were performed on 24 specimens to investigate the structural behavior and shear resistance of stud connectors in high strength concrete. Test parameters include the existence of shear studs, height to diameter ratio of a shear stud, its diameter and concrete cover thickness. A shear resistance equation of stud connectors is proposed through a linear regression analysis based on the test results. Its accuracy is compared with those of existing shear resistance equations for studs in normal and lightweight concrete.
Composite flooring systems consisting of cold-formed steel joists and reinforced concrete slabs offer an efficient, lightweight solution. However, utilisation of composite action to achieve enhanced strength and economical design has been limited. In this study, finite element modelling was utilised to create a three-dimensional model which was then validated against experimental results for a composite flooring system consisting of cold-formed steel joists, reinforced concrete slab and steel bolt shear connectors. This validated numerical model was then utilised to perform parametric studies on the performance of the structural system. The results from the parametric study demonstrate that increased thickness of the concrete slab and increased thickness of the cold formed steel beam resulted in higher moment capacity and stiffness of the composite flooring system. In addition, reducing the spacing of bolts and spacing of the cold formed steel beams both resulted in enhanced load capacity of the composite system. Increasing the concrete grade was also found to increase the moment capacity of the composite flooring system. Overall, the results show that an efficient, lightweight composite flooring system can be achieved and optimised by selecting suitable concrete slab thickness, cold formed beam thickness, bolt spacing, cold formed beam spacing and concrete grade.
The objective of this study was to experimentally investigate the bond-related tension stiffening behavior of flexural reinforced concrete (RC) beams made with lightweight aggregate concrete (LWAC) under various high-cycle fatigue loading conditions. Based on strain measurements of tensile steel in the RC beams, fatigue-induced degradation of tension stiffening effects was evaluated and was, compared to reinforced normal weight concrete (NWC) beams with equal concrete compressive strengths (40 MPa). According to applied load-mean steel strain relationships, the mean steel strain that developed under loading cycles was divided into elastic and plastic strain components. The experimental results showed that, in the high-cycle fatigue regime, the tension stiffening behavior of LWAC beams was different from that of NWC beams; LWAC beams had a lesser reduction in tension stiffening due to a better bond between steel and concrete. This was reflected in the stability of the elastic mean steel strains and in the higher degree of local plasticity that developed at the primary flexural cracks.

The kind of concrete generally used in steel concrete composite bridges is normal-weight concrete whose unit weight is ${2,300kg/m^{3}}$. However, using lightweight concrete in composite bridges diminishes the sectional forces due to the self-weight of concrete decks. As a result, this will make the bridge design more economical. The type of concrete deck that could be adopted in composite bridges using lightweight con crete may be classified into Cast-In-Place (C.I.P.) concrete deck and precast concrete deck. These two types of decks have some differences with respect to structural behavior and constructional method, and hence, structural behavior of stud shear connectors that connect a concrete deck to a steel girder is changed with the type of deck used. In this study, push-out tests were conducted to evaluate the characteristics of static behavior of the stud shear connectors with a precast deck using lightweight concrete. Also, additional precast deck specimens with bedding layer that had shear keys and devices for transverse confinement of the bedding layer for the prevention of cracks occurring in the bedding layer were tested. These cracks The efficiency of these devices was then evaluated.
The strength theory of concrete is significant to structure design and nonlinear finite element analysis of concrete structures because concrete utilized in engineering is usually subject to the action of multi-axial stress. Experimental results have revealed that lightweight aggregate (LWA) concrete exhibits plastic flow plateau under high compressive stress and most of the lightweight aggregates are crushed at this stage. For the purpose of safety, therefore, in the practical application the strength of LWA concrete at the plastic flow plateau stage should be regarded as the ultimate strength under multi-axial compressive stress state. With consideration of the strength criterion, the ultimate strength surface of LWA concrete under multi-axial stress intersects with the hydrostatic stress axis at two different points, which is completely different from that of the normal weight concrete as that the ultimate strength surface is open-ended. As a result, the strength criteria aimed at normal weight concrete do not fit LWA concrete. In the present paper, a multi-axial strength criterion for LWA concrete is proposed based on the Unified Twin-Shear Strength (UTSS) theory developed by Prof Yu (Yu et al. 1992), which takes into account the above strength characteristics of LWA under high compressive stress level. In this strength criterion model, the tensile and compressive meridians as well as the ultimate strength envelopes in deviatoric plane under different hydrostatic stress are established just in terms of a few characteristic stress states, i.e., the uniaxial tensile strength $f_t$, the uniaxial compressive strength $f_c$, and the equibiaxial compressive $f_{bc}$. The developed model was confirmed to agree well with experimental data under different stress ratios of LWA concrete.
