RC 라멘조에 SMART Frame 적용 시 효용성 분석 (Performance Analysis of SMART Frame Applied to RC Column-Beam Structures)

  • SMART Frame is a composite precast concrete structure system to deliver the advantages of both steel frame and reinforced concrete. Many studies have established to date that SMART Frame is more advantageous than conventional frame-type structure in terms of structural stability, constructability, economic viability as well as reduction of construction schedule. However, such studies have focused primarily on wall-type or flat slab-type apartment housing structures, failing to include Rahmen structures in their scope. Accordingly, this study aims to analyze the benefits of potential application of SMART Frame to RC Rahmen structures. As the structural stability and constructability of SMART Frame is already proven, this study reviews its benefits from the perspective of cost reduction. Conclusion of this study will be used subsequently in predicting the benefits of SMART Frame when it is adapted to RC Rahmen structures.

모노레일 대차 프레임에 대한 구조 안전성 및 피로강도 평가 (An Evaluation of Structural Integrity and Fatigue Strength for the Bogie Frame of Monorail)

  • 본 논문은 국내에서 개발중인 모노레일 대차 프레임에 대해 구조 안전성 및 피로강도를 평가하였다. 현재 모노레일 대차 프레임에 대한 평가기준은 없는 실정이며, 이에 구조 안전성 및 피로강도 평가는 유럽규격인 UIC 615-4 기준을 적용하여 수행하였다. 이때, 설계된 대차 프레임에 대해 각 하중조건에서의 변위 및 Von-Mises 응력 결과를 통해 구조 안전성을 평가하였다. 그리고 피로강도는 UIC 615-4 기준의 규정에 따라 조합 주 운용하중조건에 의해 평가되고, 일괄처리 기능을 갖는 winLIFE v3.1을 이용한 피로해석 결과와 비교 검증하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 설계된 대차 프레임은 구조적 안전성 및 피로강도를 만족하였으며, 일괄처리 기능을 갖는 피로해석은 조합하중을 이용한 기존 피로해석보다 더 효율적임을 확인하였다.

PATRAN 데이타베이스를 기반으로 한 스페이스 프레임의 통합설계시스템 (Space Frame Integrated Design System based on PATRAN Database)

  • To design a space frame structure by the conventional method is not easy in practical sense since it is generally a three-dimensional complicated form, and stability and nonlinear problems are not easily checked in the design process. This paper describes two modules, the Model Generator which is based on PATRAN user interface that enables users to generate a complicated finite element model; the Optimum Design Module which analyzes output results of analysis program, and designs members of a space frame. The Model Generator is based on PCL while C++ language is used in the Optimum Design Module. Structural analysis is performed by using ABAQUS. All of these modules constitute Space Frame Integrated Design System. The Core of the system is PATRAN database, in which the Model Generator creates information of a finite element model. Then, PATRAN creates input files needed for the analysis program from the information of the finite element model in the database, and in turn, imports output results of analysis program to the database. Finally, the Optimum Design Module processes member grouping of a space frame based on the output results, and performs optimal member selection of a space frame. This process is repeated until the desired optimum structural members are obtained.

  • Spherical space frame structure with triangular network pattern, which has the various characteristics for the mechanic property, a funtional property, an aesthetic property and so on, has often been used as one of the most efficient space structures. It is expected that this type will be used widely in large-span structural roofs. But because this structure is made of network by combination of line elements there me many nodes therefore, the structure behavior is very complicated and there can be an overall collapse of structure by buckling phenomenon if the external force reaches a limitation. This kind of buckling is due to geometric shape, network pattern, the number of layer and so on, of structure. Therefore spherical space frame with triangle network pattern have attracted many designers and researchers attention all over the world. The number of layer of space frame is divided in to the simgle, double, multi layer. That is important element which is considered deeply in the beginning of structural design. The buckling characteristics of single-layer model and double-layer model for the spherical space frame structure with triangular network pattern are evaluated and the buckling loads of these types are compared with investigation their structural efficiency in this study.

Tailor Welded Blanks를 이용한 승용차용 Sub-frame의 설계기법 연구 (A Study on the Development of Sub-frame Designe Using Tailor Welded Blanks)

  • The sub-frame of passenger car begins to be used widely for the safety of passengers. Conventional design of the sub-frame comprises 22parts, and it requires quite complicated production processes. In this papers, the sub-frame is designed with TWB(Tailor Welded Blanks) to improve stiffness, to reduce weight and to simplify the manufacturing process. To design the proper structure, structural analysis and crash analysis are executed about the conventional design and TWB applied design. A prototype TWB applied sub-frame is manufactured using mash-seam welded TB(Tailored Blanks). Comparing with the conventional sub-frame, the TWB applied sub-frame has 30% weight reduction and 17% increasement of structural stiffness in average.

골조-전단벽 구조에서 상부 전단벽 미배치의 구조효과 (Structural Effect on Curtailment of Upper Shear Wall in Frame-Shear Wall Structure)

  • 본 연구는 MIDAS-Gen을 사용하여 골조-전단벽 구조에서 상부 전단벽의 미배치에 대한 구조적인 효과를 검토하였다. 본 연구에서는 해석 변수로 상부 전단벽의 미배치 층수, 상하 기둥 단면 치수의 변화, 상하 전단벽 두께 치수의 변화를 설정하였다. 골조-전단벽 구조에서 상부 전단벽의 미배치에 대한 구조적인 효과를 검토하기 위하여 전단벽의 미배치에 따른 전단력/전도모멘트 분포, 전단벽의 변곡점, 수평강성에 대하여 비교분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 골조-전단벽 구조에서 상부 전단벽의 미배치가 수평강성과 같은 구조성능에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 제시하였다. 더욱이 본 연구의 결과는 합리적인 골조-전단벽 구조를 위한 구조설계 자료를 제공하는데 도움이 된다고 확인하였다.

알루미늄 스페이스 프레임 차량의 구조 최적화 설계 기법 (Structural Design Optimization of the Aluminum Space Frame Vehicle)

  • Due to the global environment problems and the consumer's need for higher vehicle performance, it becomes very important for the global car makers to reduce vehicle weight. To reduce vehicle weight, many car makers have tried to use lightweight materials, for example, aluminum, magnesium, and plastics, for the vehicle structures and components. Especially, the ASF(aluminum space frame) is known for the excellent concept of the vehicle to satisfy structural rigidity, safety performance and weight reduction. In this research, the design of experiments and the multi-disciplinary optimization technique were utilized to meet the weight and structural rigidity target of the ASF. For the structural performance of the ASF, the locations and the size of aluminum extruded frames, aluminum cast nodes, and the aluminum sheets were optimized. As a result, the optimization design procedure has been set up to meet both structural and weight target of the ASF, and the assembled ASF showed good structural performance and weight reduction.

  • In order to take account of the statistical properties of random variables used in the structural analysis, the conventional approach usually adopts the safety factor based on past experiences for the qualitative assessment of structural safety problem. Recently, new approach based on the probabilistic concept has been applied to the assessment of structural safety in order to circumvent the difficulties of the conventional approach in choosing the appropriate safety factor. Thus, computer program called "Probabilistic finite element method" is developed by incorporation the probabilistic concept into the conventional matrix method in order to investigate the effects of the random variables on the final output of the structural analysis. From the comparison of some examples, it can be concluded that the PFEM developed in this study deals with consistently with the uncertainty of random variables and provides the rational tool for the assessment of structural safety of plane frame.

  • An optimization algorithm based on Genetic Algorithm(GA) is developed for discrete optimization of reinforced concrete plane frame by constructing databases. Under multiple loading conditions, discrete optimum sets of reinforcements for both negative and positive moments in beams, their dimensions, column reinforcement, and their column dimensions are found. Construction practice is also implemented by linking columns and beams by group ‘Connectivity’between columns located in the same column line is also considered. It is shown that the developed genetic algorithm was able to reach optimum design for reinforced concrete plane frame construction practice.

다이어그리드 메가프레임 초고층 건물을 위한 효율적인 해석모델의 개발 (Development of Efficient Analytical Model for a Diagrid Mega-Frame Super Tall Building)

  • 비정형 초고층건물을 위한 구조시스템 중에서 다이어그리드 구조시스템은 구조적인 효율성 및 조형성 때문에 널리 사용되고 있다. 근래에는 초고층건물을 위한 구조시스템으로 메가부재의 조합을 통하여 횡방향 강성을 효과적으로 발휘할 수 있는 메가프레임 시스템이 널리 사용되고 있다. 두 가지 구조시스템의 장점을 혼합한 다이어그리드 메가프레임 구조시스템은 미래형 초고층건물에 적용될 유망한 구조시스템으로 평가받고 있다. 그러나 이러한 다이어그리드 메가프레임 구조시스템을 적용한 건물의 거동을 예측하기 위해서는 매우 많은 수의 절점과 요소로 이루어진 유한요소 모델을 해석해야 하므로 상당한 양의 해석시간과 엔지니어의 노력이 필요하게 된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 다이어그리드 메가프레임시스템을 적용한 초고층건물의 거동을 효율적으로 해석할 수 있는 기법을 제안하여 다이어그리드 메가프레임 초고층건물의 해석과 설계에 소요되는 시간과 노력을 줄이고자 한다. 이를 위하여 다이어그리드 메가프레임의 특정을 활용한 효율적인 모형화기법과 행렬응축기법을 사용하여 해석에 사용되는 자유도수를 최소화한 해석기법을 제안하였다. 예제구조물의 해석을 수행하여 본 연구에서 제안된 해석방법과 일반적인 해석방법에 의한 결과와 비교함으로써 제안된 방법의 효율성과 정확성을 검증하였다.
