The fatigue crack growth behavior of the cold-rolled STS 304 steel developed for membrane material of LNG storage tank was examined experimentally at 293K, 153K and 111K. The fatigue crack growth rate(do/dN) tends to increase as the stress ratio (R) increases over the testing temperature when compared at the same stress intensity factor range($\Delta$K). The effect of R on do/dN is more explicit at low temperatures than at room temperature. The resistance of fatigue crack growth at low temperatures is higher compared with that at room temperature which is attributed to the extent of strain-induced martensitic transformation at the crack tip. The temperature dependence of fatigue crack growth resistance is gradually vanished with an increase in $\Delta$K which correlates with a decreasing fracture toughness with decreasing temperature. Fractographic examinations reveal that the differences of the fatigue crack growth characteristics between room and low temperature are mainly explained by the crack closure and the strengthening due to the martensitic transformation.
The objective of this paper is to investigate the effect of residual stress on fatigue crack growth behavior. For this purpose, submerged arc welding was performed on SM50A steel plate and post weld heta treatment (PWHT) was followed. Residual stress distribution on the weld plate was determined by a hole drilling method and a series of .DELTA.P-const. and .DELTA.K-decreasing fatigue test were performed on the three different regions, i.e. weld metal, HAZ and base metla. Following conclusins were achieved. 1. In "as welded" specimens, tensile residual stresses were produced in the center portion of the specimen while compressive residual stresses were produced near the edges. In PWHT specimens, however, most of the residual stresses were disappeared. 2. The fatigue crack growth behavior in low .DELTA.K region was considerably affected by the presence of residual stress in both "as welded" and PWHT specimens. 3. Because of the relaxation of residual stresses in PWHT condition, the values of m increased from 2.62-2.78 (in the "as welded" condition) to 3.57-3.91 (in the "PWHT" condition)3.91 (in the "PWHT" condition)condition)
Mechanical behavior of asphalt concrete that accounts for viscoelasticity and damage evolution under cyclic loading conditions is modeled and presented in this paper. An elastic-viscoelastic correspondence principle in terms of pseudo variables is applied to separately evaluate viscoelasticity and time-dependent damage growth in asphalt concrete. A microcrack growth law, which is commonly employed in linear viscoelastic fracture mechanics, is successfully used for describing the damage growth in the body. A constitutive equation in terms of stress and pseudo strain is first established for controlled-strain mode, and then transformed to controlled-stress constitutive equation by simply replacing stress and pseudo strain with pseudo stress and strain. The transformed constitutive equation in terms of pseudo stress satisfactorily predicts the mechanical behavior of asphalt concrete all the way up to failure under controlled-stress modes.
Post weld heat treatment(PWHT) is usually carried out to remove the residual stress and to improve the microstructure and mechanical properties of welded joints. By the way, welding structure transformed owing to PWHT and reheating for repair loads the random cycles fatigue as offshore welding structure of constant low cycle fatigue as pressure vessel, and then, pre-existing flaws or cracks exist in a structural component and those cracks grow under cyclic loading. Therefore, the effects of PWHT and stress ratio on fatigue crack growth behaviors were studied on the three regions such as HAZ, sub-critical HAZ and deposit metal of welded joints in SM53 steel. Fatigue crack growth behavior of as-weld depended on microstructure and fatigue crack growth rate of HAZ was the lowest at eac region, but after PWHT it was somewhat higher than that of as-wel. In case of applying the stress($10kg/mm^2$) during PWHT, fatigue crack growth resistance tended to increase in the overall range of .DELTA.K.

The purpose of this study for the prediction of fatigue crack propagation behavior, Stress Intensity Factor(F) of round bar with 3-Dimensional half circular, semi-elliptical icro surface crack under rotary bending stress for the variable aspect, size, rotation angle was analyzed by Boundary Element Method (BEM). It is predicted that behavior of crack growth is half circular or circular crack (b/a.geq.1) and propagate to b/a.leq.0.85.
This paper describes the effect of specimen size on fatigue crack growth rate for the offshore structural high-tensile-strength steel BS4360 and machine structural steel SM45C. The purpose of the present study is to investigate the effect of stress ratio aspect ratio specimen width and specimen thickness of the fatigue crack growth behavior. Compact tension specimens with a LT orientation for BS4360 and SM45C steels were used, All testing was done at constant stress intensity factor range controlled fatigue crack growth condition. The investigation demonstrates that the fatigue crack growth rate is increased with increasing stress ratio and specimen thickness and is decreased with increasing specimen width. The fatigue crack growth rate is unaffected by aspect ratio until a/W=0.50 but is increased by increasing spect ratio from a/W=0.55.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify effects of parenting stress in North Korean refugee fathers on their parenting behavior. Methods: A descriptive study design was used. Data were collected during 2014 and 2015 in a settlement support center for North Korean refugees and 99 North Korean refugee fathers participated. Data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0. Results: Warmth encouragement parenting behavior received the highest score. The score for parenting stress was 81.98 out of 180, and 32.3% of participants were found to need professional help (${\geq}PSI\;90$). There were significant negative correlations between warmth encouragement parenting behavior and parenting stress. There were also significant positive correlations between rejection neglect parenting behavior and parenting stress. Predictors of warmth encouragement behavior were parent-child dysfunctional interaction which explained 10.1% of the variance. Predictors of rejection neglect behavior were parent-child dysfunctional interaction, number of children and wife's education level which explained 33.4% of the variance. Conclusion: Findings show that North Korean refugee fathers' parenting stress significantly influenced warmth encouragement and rejection neglect parenting behavior indicating a need to identify ways to decrease parenting stress. Parenting education can guide North Korean refugee fathers to strengthen parent-child positive interactions and therefore promote their children's growth and development.

The fatigue growth behavior of surface cracks cannot be adequately predicted solely by stress intensity factor analysis. This is caused by different plastic deformation due to variations in the stress field triaxiality along the crack tip. Therefore, a new model which accounts for the crack closure phenomenon is proposed in this paper to predict the fatigue crack growth patterns for surface cracks. Fatigue tests were performed to develop the new model for the prediction and to assess the accuracy of the analysis. The predicted crack growth behavior for PMMA and Aluminum alloy 7075-T6 materials agreed well with the experimental data.
We got the following characteristics from fatigue crack growth test carried out in the environment of room temperature and low temperature at $25^{circ}C$, $-60^{circ}C$, $-80^{circ}C$, and $-100^{circ}C$ in the range of stress ratio of 0.3 by means of opening mode displacement. And there is a difference between shot peened specimen and unpeened specimen. The purpose of this study is to predict the behavior of fatigue crack propagation as one of fracture mechanics on the compressive residual stress. Fatigue crack growth rate of shot peened metal was lower than that of unpeened metal. The compressive residual stress made an impact on tension and compression of the plasticity deformation in fatigue crack plasticity zone. That is. the constrained force about plasticity deformation was strengthened by resultant stress, which resulted from plasticity deformation and compressive residual stress in the process of fatigue crack propagation.

The lightness of components required in automobile and machinery industry is requiring high strength of components. In particular, manufacturing process and new materials development for solving the fatigue fracture problem attendant upon high strength of suspension of automobile are actively advanced. In this paper, the effect of compressive residual stress of spring steel(JISG SUP-9) by shot-peening on fatigue crack growth characteristics in high temperatures($100^{\circ}C$, $150^{\circ}C$, $180^{\circ}C$) was investigated with considering fracture mechanics. So, we can obtain followings. (1)Compressive residual stress decreases in high temperature, that is, with increasing temperature. (2)The effect of compressive residual stress on fatigue crack growth behavior in high temperature increases below $\Delta$K=17~19MPa (3)It was investigated by SEM that the constraint of compressive residual stress for plastic zone of fatigue crack tip was decreased in high temperature as compared with room temperature.
