도시가로경관요소가 시각적 선호에 미치는 복합적 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Complex Effects of Streetscape Components on Visual Preference)

  • In this study the relative effects among trees, cars, wires and building facades on visual preference are measured with the photo-montage scenes, which were synthesized by computer graphic programs. In addition to these experiments, the interaction of each elements of streetscapes have been investigated. The results of this study can be summarized as follows ; (1) It was found that trees had a remarkable positive effect on preference for streetscapes, wires had a moderate negative effect, cars had a trivial effect and the effects of building facades were medium. (2) It was investigated that the building of residential type was most preferred among commercial, residential, and office building types. The next preferred building facade was the commercial type. (3) The interaction of each element of streetscapes also have effects on preference. Especially, it was found that the combined effects of building-wire and building-cars were more notable than other combined effects of two elements.

동적 시뮬레이션에 의한 도시가로경관 관리지표의 허용범위 연구 - 건축물 형태 및 배치를 중심으로 - (A Study on a Permissible Range of the Indicators to Manage Streetscapes by Dynamic Simulation - Focusing on Shape and Layout of Buildings -)

  • As urban residents' standard of living has recently risen, efforts to improve urban landscapes have increased. It is very important to manage streetscapes to improve the urban landscape because they are one of the essential elements in city construction and urban landscaping. This study focuses on the indicators that manage streetscapes more accurately and realistically. To achieve this purpose, this study used dynamic simulations considering shape and layout of buildings, the primary factors in streetscapes. This study can be summarized as follows: 1. Two indicators to manage streetscape were investigated in previous studies: one to increase visual openness and the other to reduce visual overstimulation. These indicators had high correlation with scenic beauty. Therefore, increasing openness and reducing overstimulation are essential to improve streetscapes. 2. Two household tower type buildings should be arranged along roadsides to increase openness and scenic beauty. However, low tower buildings with two household are not suitable along roadsides because they create monotony and intervals are needed between buildings. 3. To increase openness, the angled arrangement of buildings is suggested $75^{\circ}{\sim}90^{\circ}(105^{\circ}{\sim}135^{\circ})$ for low buildings, $30^{\circ}{\sim}45^{\circ}(135^{\circ}{\sim}150^{\circ})$ for mid-sized buildings, and $75^{\circ}{\sim}90^{\circ}(105^{\circ}{\sim}135^{\circ})$ for high buildings. 4. To reduce overstimulation, the height and setback control regulations should be at an angle of less than $45^{\circ}$. This study suggests more accurate management guidelines by organizing the indicators that could effectively manage streetscapes and by overcoming limitations of reality shown in a static simulation.

도시가로녹지의 개선을 위한 녹화환경평가 연구 -전주시를 대상으로- (A Study of Evaluating Streetscape Green Environments to Improve Urban Street Green Spaces - A Case Study of Jeonju City -)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose an evaluation method to assess green environments of streetscapes to improve urban street green spaces in Jeonju City. Through a rapid assessment of urban street green spaces, we suggest an objective basis for expanding street green space as well as for adopting sustainable maintenance and improvement measures. We choose 12 sections of streetscapes (roads and sidewalks) to investigate existing street conditions which have more than four lanes and function as major road axes. Six large roads and six medium roads of Jeonju City center area are investigated as pilot assessment study sites. Site inventory checklists consist of environmental characteristics of streetscape, street tree status, and planting condition evaluation. Environmental characteristics of streetscapes are composed of physical and neighborhood factors. For instance, items for physical factors are types and width of road/sidewalks, paving materials, tree protection materials, and green strip. And surrounding landuse is a neighborhood factor. Assessment items for street tree status are street plant names (tree/shrubs/ground cover), size, and planting intervals. Planting condition evaluation items are tree shape, damage, canopy density, and planting types with existence of adjacent green space. Evaluation results are classified into three levels such as A(maintain or repair), B(greening enhancement), and C(structural improvement). In case of grade A, streetscapes have enough sidewalk width for maintaining green strip and a multi-layered planting(in large road only) with fairly good growing conditions of street trees. For grade B and C, streetscapes have a moderate level of sidewalk width with a single street tree planting. In addition, street tree growing conditions are appeared poor so that green enhancement or maintenance measures are needed. For median, only grade B and C are found as its planting growing foundations are very limited in space. As a result, acquiring enough sidewalk space is essential to enhance ecological quality of urban street green. Especially, it is necessary to have green strip with reasonable widths for plant growing conditions in sidewalks. In addition, we need to consider native species with multi-layer plant compositions while designing street green.

  • Due to the standardized urban development since the industrial era, many urban spaces have experienced non-placeness. Recently, although interest in urban landscape, history, and cultural elements has been increasing, landscape management and control measures are being implemented mainly in large cities due to the low status of rural areas in the country. From this point of view, this study tried to lay the foundation for basic research in related fields by classifying the characteristics and types of streetscapes located near large cities, and to suggest directions that should be considered when managing streetscapes in the future. As a result of the analysis of landscape adjectives, the village felt secluded due to the low density compared to the city street overall, but it did not have a unique image of the region. Three factors were derived through factor analysis, and preference was affected in the order of aesthetic, regularity, and uniqueness. In addition, the research site was classified into three types through cluster analysis, and it was confirmed that the differences by type were due to aesthetics and naturalness. On the other hand, the uniqueness is generally low in all regions, so it seems that fundamental countermeasures are needed.

대구시 도시숲과 가로경관의 조류군집 비교 (Comparison of Bird Communities at Urban Forests and Streetscapes in Daegu City)

  • 본 연구는 대구시의 도시숲과 가로경관(수림대, 가로수, 녹지대)의 조류군집을 비교하고자 실시하였다. 관찰된 31종의 조류 중 까치, 박새는 모든 지역에서 나타났으나, 딱새, 할미새사촌, 파랑새, 노랑턱멧새, 숲새 등 5종은 한번만 관찰되어 낮은 출현빈도를 보였다. 시 외곽부에 위치한 도시숲(만촌, 본리, 침산공원)에서 조류 종수가 높았으나 도심의 도시숲(중리, 이곡생수, 신암공원)에서 조류 종수는 낮았다. 가로경관에서 관찰된 조류의 번식 둥지는 수림대와 녹지대에서는 발견되었으나, 한 줄 가로수에서는 발견되지 않았다. 수림대지역에서 관찰된 조류의 종수와 밀도는 한 줄 가로수지역보다 유의하게 높았다. 도시숲 면적과 조류종수는 높은 상관관계를 나타냈다. 덤불층을 둥지 및 먹이자원으로 이용하는 조류 종수가 낮았으며, 면적이 증가함에 따라 증가율도 낮았다. 본 연구 결과는 대구시 도시숲은 덤불층을 서식지로 이용하는 조류에게 충분한 서식 여건을 제공하지 않는 것을 나타내며, 조류는 수림대와 녹지대 등 폭이 있는 가로경관을 서식지 및 이동통로로 이용함을 나타낸다.

거리경관에 대한 청각적 이미지의 평가구조 - 대학생들의 음풍경 체험을 통한 의미론적 고찰 - (The Evaluation Structure of Auditory Images on the Streetscapes - The Semantic Issues of Soundscape based on the Students' Fieldwork -)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 사운드스케이프의 의미론적 관점에 기초하여 도시의 거리경관에 관한 청각적 이미지의 평가구조를 파악하는 것이다. 캡션평가법이라는 새로운 환경심리조사수법을 이용하여 2001년부터 2005년까지 총45명의 대학생이 남원시의 주요 거리를 걸으면서 듣고 느끼는 소리의 이미지 파악을 위한 현장조사에 참가하고, 그 결과 청각적 경관에 대한 요소, 특징, 인상 및 선호도 등을 포함한 다양한 자료를 얻을 수 있었다. 남원시에 있어서, 청각적 이미지의 구성 요소는 자연음, 그리고 기계음, 사회음, 지시음 등을 포함한 인공음으로 분류되고, 청각적 경관의 특징은 소리종류, 양태, 상황, 성질, 주변관계, 이미지 등으로, 그리고 청각적 경관의 인상은 인간의 감성, 거리의 분위기, 소리 자체의 특성이라는 3가지 카테고리로 분류된다. 청각적 경관과 판단과의 관계로 부터, 청각적 경관의 요소, 특징, 인상 등은 긍정적, 중립적, 부정적 이미지 등의 항목으로 구성된다. 또한, 남원시의 거리경관의 평가구조모델로부터 그 장소 또는 공간의 청각적 이미지특성을 파악할 수 있었다.

도시가로 경관에 있어 환경조형물의 시각적 조화성 분석 (An Analysis on the Visual Harmony of the Environmental Sculpture in Urban Streetscapes)

  • 본 연구는 환경조형물을 대상으로 도시환경의 질적 수준을 향상시킬 수 있는 기초 자료를 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 환경조형물의 개념을 정립하고 도시가로경관에서의 환경조형물의 역할을 고찰하였다. 아울러 도시가로경관의 시각적 조화에 영향을 미치는 요소를 추출하여 시각적 만족도와의 관련성을 분석하였는데, 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 20개 경관사진의 시각적 만족도는 우선적으로 환경조형물 자체의 조형성 및 심미성이 높은 작품들이 좋은 평가를 받고 있었다. 주변 환경과의 조화 측면에서는 바닥면, 건물, 주변요소와의 어울림이 뛰어난 환경조형물이 높은 평가를 받았다. 또한, 전체적으로는 명료한 느낌을 주면서 시각적인 안정성을 주는 경관이 만족도가 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 경관의 만족도와 도시경관에 영향을 미치는 5개 변수의 관계 분석결과 형태조화도가 도시가로경관의 만족도에 영향을 주는 중요한 변수로 나타났다.

  • 최근 들어 지방자치제 활성화 방침과 더불어 도시의 특성화가 활발해지고 있다. 도시의 이미지를 만들기 위해서는 가로 경관이 절대적인 요인이 된다고 볼 수 있고, 또한 많은 가로가 이러한 목적을 가지고 디자인되어지고 있다. 가로경관을 특성화하는 데는 여러 요인이 포함되나, 그 중 파사드(가로입면)는 가장 일차적인 요소이다. 본 연구의 목적은 각 지역의 바람직한 특성으로 정체성을 확보하는 방안을 찾아내기 위함이고, 이를 위하여 지역별 가로의 입면이 조사분석 되었다. 조사대상 지역으로는 가로의 기능과 성격이 서로 상이하여 가로의 특성화가 나타날 것이라 예상되는 전통가로지역(서울, 종로구, 인사동), 아파트 주거단지 상가지역(서울, 강남구, 압구정동), 개발 신도시지역(대전, 서구, 둔산동)을 선정하였고, 이들 각 지역의 조사 분석된 건물입면 요소는 창문, 입구, 사인물, 쇼윈도우, 출입문, 차양 등이며, 각 요소별로 색상, 재질, 형태, 구조 등의 유형분석이 이루어졌다.

가로공간에 있어서 아이덴티티 요소와 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation and Identity Elements in the Street Spaces)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose the design elements useful to give place identity to street space. The theory for place identity is studied and the components-Physical element, Sense, Program, Activity, Context-for identity of place is created. In the case study of SamcheongdongGil, the qualitative research method of Free Picturing Technique and Cognitive Mapping is executed and the samples gathered from the research are analyzed. In the process of analysis, the contents of qualitative evaluation by users is put in order as components for identity of place. Moreover, the design elements for street space are extracted from the case study and theories of urban design. The design elements are summarized as the followings: street pattern with high permeability, various streetscapes, greenscapes, semi public(private) spaces, the third places, public arts, transparent facades, and outdoor activities. Finally, the fruits and boundary of this study are described and the importance of place identity is.

빅데이터로부터 추출된 주변 환경 컨텍스트를 반영한 딥러닝 기반 거리 안전도 점수 예측 모델 (A Deep Learning-based Streetscapes Safety Score Prediction Model using Environmental Context from Big Data)

  • Since the mitigation of fear of crime significantly enhances the consumptions in a city, studies focusing on urban safety analysis have received much attention as means of revitalizing the local economy. In addition, with the development of computer vision and machine learning technologies, efficient and automated analysis methods have been developed. Previous studies have used global features to predict the safety of cities, yet this method has limited ability in accurately predicting abstract information such as safety assessments. Therefore we used a Convolutional Context Neural Network (CCNN) that considered "context" as a decision criterion to accurately predict safety of cities. CCNN model is constructed by combining a stacked auto encoder with a fully connected network to find the context and use it in the CNN model to predict the score. We analyzed the RMSE and correlation of SVR, Alexnet, and Sharing models to compare with the performance of CCNN model. Our results indicate that our model has much better RMSE and Pearson/Spearman correlation coefficient.
