한.중간 무역경쟁력 분석 -섬유.전기전자.운송.기계산업을 중심으로- (An Analysis on Trade Competitiveness between Korea and China)

  • First, the trade competitiveness of the textile industries in South Korea has been weakening, whereas, the counterpart in China has been growing as the main export industries. Second, the trade competitiveness of the mechanics industries in South Korea has been increasing and appearing as the new promising strategic export industries. And, the counterpart in China also shows that it has been rising, while the country’s level of the imports specialization index has been weakening. Third, the trade competitiveness of the transportation industries in South Korea has been rising as the export-oriented and at the same time, privileged industries. And, China has also been rising as South Korea has been in the case, whereas, imports specialization index has been weakening. Fourth, the trade competitiveness of the electrical and electronic industries in South Korea has relatively been at the very high level, giving rise to the core export-privileged industries in the South Korea. And, China has been emerging as the new strategic export industries, as its industry structure has been shifted from the import- specialization and export-specialization industries. Fifth, it is indicated that the trade in the both South Korean and Chinese industries of fable materials, mechanics goods for computer & office, and goods for electric mechanics has been going favorable and brisk.

가치전략 중점의 변화가 재무성과에 미치는 영향 (The Financial Impact Generated by Shifts in Value Strategic Emphasis)

  • Korea's main manufacturing industries, which have led its economy for the past three decades, are faced with a serious downturn and loss of competitive advantages due to the current economic depression, China's rise, and the drop of oil prices. Korean business firms must adopt the paradigm shift in their value strategies, along with a government-led industrial restructuring in order to gain sustainable competitive advantages. Business firms allocate their limited resources between value creation and value appropriation, however, what effect does strategic emphasis on value creation versus value appropriation have on a business firm's financial performance? This paper empirically addresses this issue by examining the effect of shifts in strategic emphasis on stock return. Furthermore, this study examines appropriate choices of strategic emphasis to gain differential financial performance. The data set used in this regression analysis comes from the KISLINE database of NICE Information Service. The variables that form the basis of this analysis are stock return, ROA, and Strategic Emphasis [(advertising expenditures-R&D expenditures)/assets]. The interactive effect with situational factors regarding the firm and the type of technological environment in which the firm is operating was also analyzed. Our results show that investors acknowledge a shift of strategic emphasis as a sign of stock valuation. In comparison to US, Korean business firms have weak value creation capabilities in high-technology industries, and weak value appropriation capabilities in low-technology industries. This proves Korean firms are fast followers in the global market. Our findings suggest that Korean firms have to adopt a balanced value strategy, nurturing value creation and developing value appropriation for overcoming the current economic downturn and becoming a first mover in the dawn of "Industry 4.0."

수출산업 고도화전략에 대한 연구: 울산지역 석유화학산업을 중심으로 (Sophistication of Export Basket: The Case of Petrochemical Industries in Ulsan, Korea)

  • This paper seeks to recommend strategic policy options geared towards enhancing sophistication level of Ulsan City's major export industries in the Republic of Korea. Ulsan's major export industries, including shipbuilding, automobile and petrochemical industries, turn out to be based mostly on low to medium technology with low R&D intensity suggesting relatively low level of product sophistication. Using a recent Eurostat high-tech industry classification table which suggests 9 high-tech industries, the paper identifies Ulsan's chemical industry as the only RCA industry. Focusing on chemical industry products at HS 6-digit level, specific products are identified at the efficiency frontier for future policy considerations.

  • 본 연구는 부산산업 성장과 고도화를 기반으로 3단계에 걸쳐 실행하는 10대전략산업에 디자인경영 측면에서 해석한 미래전략 디자인산업의 위치와 부산 디자인산업 육성방안을 제시하였다. 나아가 미래가치에 대한 창조혁명의 시대에 핵심 역할로서 디자인산업의 역할과 디자인경영 관점에서 조망하였으며, 부산 10대 전략산업에서 미래전략의 구성과 디자인산업 연관관계를 분석하였다. 특히, 전략산업과의 연관관계를 해석하였다. 디자인경영의 관점은 가치기반으로서의 디자인이 핵심 전략적 기능과 역할을 수행하는 미래가치의 산업이며, 디자인경영의 주요 기능과 비즈니스경영의 관계성을 이론적으로 고찰하였다. 한편, 부산 디자인 육성방안에서 제시된 항목을 정리하여 전략산업과의 연관관계에서 디자인산업 여건과 부산 디자인전략 수립기반의 조성을 위한 추진목표와 체계를 살펴보았다. 다음으로, 전략산업의 디자인 경영 요소를 분석하고, 부산디자인 육성 컨셉을 분석하여 핵심전략으로서의 의미와 위치관계, 정책우선 등 부산산업 30대 프로젝트의 분석과 그룹핑을 통하여 단계별 실현가능성의 순위를 도출하였다. 본 연구의 주제는 창의성 산업은 미래 산업 결정조건과 핵심가치라는 점과, 디자인 경영에 대한 인식의 전환, 그리고 부산 디자인산업의 비전과 추전전략으로서의 의미를 평가해 보는 것이다. 21세기 초에 정보혁명의 지식경제가 도래하였다. 2000년대의 전반적인 축이 디자인 전략 경영에 의해 창조적 혁신의 성장기를 준비하고 있다. 창조 패러다임의 도래와 지금은 창조경제 시대의 기능과 역할의 중심에 디자인경영의 새로운 이노베이션 DNA을 창출 할 것이며, 개별산업디자인에서 산업의 컨버전스화로 산업간 융합을 거쳐 디지털의 정보화, 지식화를 통해 디자인 프로세스가 변화가 되었으며, 정보, 기술을 활용한 가치창출의 통합디자인이 부산디자인산업 육성과 10대 전략산업의 핵심적 역할을 할 것으로 기대되고 있다.

충남지역 전략산업 지원사업의 투자우선순위 결정모형에 관한 연구 (A Study on a Decision Making Model of Prioritization of Supporting Policies for Regional Strategic Industries in Chung-nam)

  • 지역산업 지원사업은 지역환경의 여건과 제도적 변화와 더불어 지난 10년 동안 꾸준히 확대되어 왔다. 특히 정부주도의 산업정책에서 지역주도의 산업정책으로 패러다임이 변모하면서 지역 전략산업 및 특화산업 육성, 기술지원, 기업지원 사업 등 지역산업 육성을 위한 다양한 지원체계를 갖추게 되었다. 그동안 지역 내에서 다양하게 전개된 지역산업 지원사업의 성과와 효율성에 대한 필요성이 제기되면서 지역전략산업 육성정책을 중심으로 통합적 관점의 종합발전계획과 사업추진전략의 중요성이 부각되었다. 지역산업 지원사업의 총체적인 맥락에서 중복사업의 조정과 핵심역량을 집중적으로 관리하고 수요자 중심의 지원체계에 대한 프레임을 수립하는 것이 시급하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 성과중심의 자율적 지역사업 포트폴리오를 구성하고 지역 전략산업의 특성 및 지원사업 유형에 따른 지역산업 육성 투자우선순위 도출을 위한 의사결정모형을 설정하여 검증하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 충남전략산업 지원사업의 투자우선순위 의사결정을 위해 충남지역의 전략산업 및 지역산업 지원사업을 대상으로 AHP분석을 통해 전략산업과 지원사업유형별 투자우선순위를 도출하였다. 연구결과 전략산업 및 사업유형에 따른 중요도의 차이를 발견할 수 있었다. 즉, 사업유형의 우선순위가 전략산업에 따라 다르게 나타나는 것으로 볼 때 획일화된 기업지원 정책에서 벗어나 전략산업이나 기업규모에 따른 차별화된 기업지원 정책의 다양성이 요구된다는 것을 알 수 있다. 체계적인 정책수립 및 지원을 통해 기업의 경쟁력 강화 및 지역경제 활성화에 기여할 수 있도록 전략산업을 집중육성하고 차별화된 지원정책을 개발해야 할 것이다.

지역전략산업 연계 중소기업 지원정책의 효율성 개선방안 (A Study of Business Support Policy for Small-Medium Enterprises in Regional Strategic Industry)

  • 본 연구는 지역전략산업과 연계되어 추진되고 있는 중소기업지원정책의 효율성 개선방안을 제시하고자 한다. 특히 전략산업 내 중소기업의 기업지원수요를 바탕으로 맞춤형 기업지원 정책방향을 도출하고자 하였다. 본 연구를 통해 우리는 정책의사결정(지역사업의 사업포트폴리오전략, 효율적 사업비 배분, 중점추진과제 등)에 활용하고자 하였다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 지역전략산업진흥사업에 참여하고 있는 243개의 중소기업을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과 전략산업별 참여기업들의 특성이 다르게 나타나고 있어 이에 대한 맞춤형 정책창출의 시사점을 도출하였다. 이러한 결과들은 중앙정부 주도의 지역산업 정책기조와 산업현장의 정책수요를 반영하여 지역산업정책의 효율성을 증대하기 위한 시사점이 될 것이다.

기업정보화 요인과 전략적 제휴 유형선택에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Selection for Strategic Alliance Mode and Corporation Information System)

  • Since the mid-1980's, strategic alliances are dominantly hailed as an effective growth and survival strategy in the era of international market and multinational corporation. There are a number of reasons for this phenomenon. there is an increasing globalization of markets in an ever-widening band of industries, together with the development of global technologies that makes production cycles shorten and the ever-increasing demand for investment resources and information to cope with the changing environment. The purpose of this study is to investigate the determinants of corporation information system in strategic alliance mode, and to analyze the main factors which are affecting the choice of strategic alliance mode by Korean firms. This study can also contribute theoretical and practical suggestive points in relation to strategic alliance operations. However, it also has limits as an exploratory study due to lacks of prior studies and proper methodologies and so on. Accordingly, the phenomenon of international strategic alliances call for further studies on casual relationships between main factors and variables in this field.

소비자 이슈에 대한 CSR 활동의 산업별 차이분석 (Analyzing Differences in CSR Activities of Consumer Issues among Industries)

  • Purpose: This study aims to develop measuring tools for 'Consumer Issues' of ISO 26000, the international standards for corporate social responsibility(CSR), and propose strategic suggestions on the CSR implemention by analyzing the differences among various industries. Methods: In order to test the research models, structured questionnaires were used and nationwide surveys were conducted targeting at customers who have had experiences in using the products and services from the companies which published CSR reports. In addition, for the empirical analysis of data, the models were verified with AMOS confirmatory factor analysis(CFA). Results: From the result of the analysis of differences among industries, it was shown that level of CSR activities was high in public sectors, followed by service industries and manufacturing. It was also shown high in air transport and the electrical and electronic industries, while it was confirmed low in energy and environment related industries such as energy, automobile and chemical industries. As a result, strategic approaches are suggested, considering the different characteristics of each industry in implementing CSR. Conclusion: This study has developed measuring tools for 'Consumer Issues' to research the core subjects and issues of ISO 26000, the international standards for CSR. It has confirmed the characteristics and differences regarding 'Consumer Issues' among industries and proved that industries can provide guidelines for the implementation of CSR activities through approaching and researching various issues from interested parties. This study has also suggested the importance of customer awareness of CSR activities and active communications by industries.

머신러닝과 딥러닝 기법을 이용한 부산 전략산업과 수출에 의한 고용과 소득 예측 (Machine Learning and Deep Learning Models to Predict Income and Employment with Busan's Strategic Industry and Export)

  • This paper analyzes the feasibility of using machine learning and deep learning methods to forecast the income and employment using the strategic industries as well as investment, export, and exchange rates. The decision tree, artificial neural network, support vector machine, and deep learning models were used to forecast the income and employment in Busan. The following were the main findings of the comparison of their predictive abilities. First, the decision tree models predict the income and employment well. The forecasting values for the income and employment appeared somewhat differently according to the depth of decision trees and several conditions of strategic industries as well as investment, export, and exchange rates. Second, since the artificial neural network models show that the coefficients are somewhat low and RMSE are somewhat high, these models are not good forecasting the income and employment. Third, the support vector machine models show the high predictive power with the high coefficients of determination and low RMSE. Fourth, the deep neural network models show the higher predictive power with appropriate epochs and batch sizes. Thus, since the machine learning and deep learning models can predict the employment well, we need to adopt the machine learning and deep learning models to forecast the income and employment.

전략군간 진입특성, 환경인식 및 성과 차이 : 우리나라 건강보조 식품 산업에 대한 탐색적 연구 (Difference in Entry Mode, Environmental Perception, and Peromance among Strategic Groups : An Exploratory Study in the Korean Health Food Industry)

  • As an exploratory attempt, this study examined the correlates of different strategic groups in the Korean health food industry. Many prior studies believe that different entry mode such as entry timing and patterns, and different cognitive structure of top managers lead to the formation of different strategic groups in the same industry. Different strategic groups with different sources or mobility barriers are also expected to produce different level of economic performance. Multivariate statistical analyses of data from 32 firms in the Korean health food industry revealed the following results. i) There are four different strategic groups with different levels of mobility barriers in terms of firm size, scope of product/market domain, degree of forward and backward integration. ii) Differences in both entry timing and environmental perception of top managers are associated with different stratetic groups. However, the patterns of entry are not significantly different among four strategic groups. iii) Four strategic groups exhibit different level of economic performance in terms of sales growth rate and return on investment. Finally, this study tried to identify commonalities and differences among various strategic groups found in several industries in Korea. The results offered some implications to search for developing a useful theory of strategic groups in Korea.
