The primary aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in ribosomal protein SA (RPSA) gene with colorectal cancer (CRC). A case-control study including 388 controls and 387 patients with CRC was conducted in a Chinese population. Information about socio-demography and living behavior factors was collected by a structured questionnaire. Three SNPs (rs2133579, rs2269349, rs7641291) in RPSA gene were genotyped by Illumina SnapShot method. Multiple logistic regression models were used for assessing the joint effects between tea consumption and SNPs on CRC. The subjects with rs2269349 CC genotype had a decreased risk for CRC (OR=0.60; 95%CI = 0.37-0.99), compared with TT/CT genotype after adjustment for covariates. A similar association of rs2269349 with rectal cancer was observed (OR=0.49; 95%CI=0.24-1.00). Further analyses indicated that this SNP could modify the protective effect of tea drinking on CRC. Among the subjects with rs2269349 TT/CT or rs2133579 AA/GA, there was a marginal significantly lower risk of CRC (OR and 95%CI: 0.63 and 0.39-1.01 for rs2269349; 0.64 and 0.40-1.02 for rs2133579) in tea-drinking subjects in comparison to non-tea-drinking subjects. Mutants in the RPSA gene might be associated with genetic susceptibility to CRC and influence the protective effect of tea consumption in the Chinese population.

대학 입학전형은 각 대학의 교육목적에 맞고 그 교육목표를 이룰 수 있는 적합한 인재상에 부합하는 학생들을 선발하는 것에 있다. 그리고 최근 입학사정관제의 도입으로 학생의 잠재력을 발굴하여 선발하는 전형을 정착시키려는 노력을 하고 있다. 이 점에서 과연 다양한 평가방식이 학생들의 질적 특성까지 반영하여 그들의 잠재력이 잘 평가되는지, 또 전형요소에 따라 계열, 모집단위 등의 특성에 맞는 학생들이 제대로 평가되고 있는지에 대하여 통계적 타당성을 검증할 필요성이 있다. 대학학업성취도를 바탕으로 하여 여러 요인들의 영향력을 통계적 방법으로 분석한다.

Friendly (1992)의 SAS macro faces 프로그램은 다변량 시각화 표현법 중 하나인 체르노프 얼굴 분석을 위한 프로그램이다. 본 연구에서는 faces에서 사용된 18개 얼굴 특징 변수를 살펴보고 현 시대의 흐름에 맞는 좋은 얼굴의 정의에 따라 수정된 프로그램을 제시하였다. 또한 은행의 안정성, 소비자 만족도, 건전성, 수익성을 나타내는 11개 은행경제지표에 기초한 체르노프 얼굴분석을 통하여 국내 15개 은행에 대해 소비자 입장에서 좋은 은행 평가를 수행하였다.

As the society progresses, the need for changing in the college eduation system is arising. Recently some statistics department are in transition states to information realted department. As these trends might face some troubles, we suggest the alternatives; the team teaching, the collaboration with application fileds in developing courses, and the double major system.

An electronic statistics text on the web is implemented. The introduced text provide interactive instructions on the statistical estimation and inference. As a by-product, we also provide a calculation of quantiles and p-value of t-distribution and standard normal distribution. This program was written in JAVA programming language.

재현자료를 생성하여 배포하는 것은 데이터 공개에 따른 정보 유출의 위험을 방지하는 대표적인 방법이다. 최근 산업에서 데이터의 활용이 중요해진 만큼 한국을 포함한 많은 국가 및 기관에서 재현자료에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 대표적인 재현자료 생성 기법들과 평가 지표들을 소개한다. 전통적인 재현자료 생성 방법인 다중대체와 최근 제시된 인공신경망 기반의 재현자료 생성 방법 등을 활용하여 재현자료를 생성하는 과정을 기술함에 따라 재현자료 생성 방법에 대한 전반적인 이해를 돕는다. 이에 더해 다양한 재현자료 평가 지표를 바탕으로 생성된 재현자료들을 분석 및 비교함에 따라 앞으로의 연구에 대한 방향을 제시하고 그에 대한 토대를 마련하고자 한다.

본 연구에서는 모든 산업을 총합한 종합주가지수 예측을 다루는 기존의 연구들과는 달리 11개의 대표 산업별 주가지수의 상승 및 하락을 예측하였다. 해외경제상황에 큰 영향을 받는 우리나라 주식 시장을 고려하여 국내 경제지표뿐만 아니라 미국, 일본, 중국, 유럽의 주요 경제지표를 예측변수로 사용하였다. 2001년부터 2011년까지 총 132개의 월별 자료에 대하여 로지스틱 회귀모형과 신경망모형에 의한 분석은 대체로 60% 내외의 정확도를 보였다.

The dual generalized order statistics is a unified model which contains the well known decreasingly ordered random variables like order statistics and lower record values. With this definition we give simple expressions for single and product moments of dual generalized order statistics from Dagum distribution. The results for order statistics and lower records are deduced from the relations derived and some computational works are also carried out. Further, a characterizing result of this distribution on using the conditional moment of the dual generalized order statistics is discussed. These recurrence relations enable computation of the means, variances and covariances of all order statistics for all sample sizes in a simple and efficient manner. By using these relations, we tabulate the means, variances, skewness and kurtosis of order statistics and record values of the Dagum distribution.

국내외적으로 지역통계에 관한 관심이 높아지고 있으며 이와 관련하여 소지역 추정에 관한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 소지역 추정에 사용되는 추정량의 대부분은 MSE(moan squared error)를 최소화하여 얻어진다 (Rao, 2003). 최근 황희진과 신기일 (2008)은 MSPE(mean squared percentage error)를 최소화하는 추정량을 사용한 소지역 추정법을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서는 노동통계 중 지청별 일인당 평균 임금총액 추정에 황희진과 신기일 (2008)이 제안한 방법을 적용하여 보았으며 2007년 매월 노동통계 자료를 이용하여 기존의 MSE를 최소화 하여 얻어진 여러 추정량과 우수성을 비교해 보았다. 또한 노동통계를 위 한 소지역 추정의 실제 사용 가능성을 살펴보았다.
