Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a guide book on safety education for teachers to use in education classes for elementary school students. Methods: Dick & Carey's teaching model and Keller's ARCS theory were used in the development of this guide book. Results: This guide book was developed for lower grade (1st$\sim$3rd) and higher grade (4th$\sim$6th) elementary school students. The content consisted of subjects, worksheets, content for teachers, statistical data, case studies, and a safety letter to the parents. The 10 subjects were as follows: "Importance of injury prevention", "Safety at home", "Accident prevention at school", "Violence prevention", "Vehicles safety", "Water safety", "Prevention of Fires & Burns", "Safety of Toys & home supplies", "Safety in Sports & Recreation activity", "Prevention of injury caused by animals". Statistical data was presented by graphs and case studies were presented of cases of real occurrences of accidents. Worksheets contain various activities for students. Safety letters were composed for each student's parents. Conclusion: This guide book presents effective material for safety education classes in elementary school and the authors hope it will be widely used in elementary schools.

In this study it was adopted on sea dike monitoring that the safety monitoring with statistical limits which was adapted usually on safety monitoring by measuring pressures, stresses or deformations. And also the hydraulic head loss rate change according to passage of time was calculated for the purpose of safety monitoring. Safety monitoring by setting the statistical limit on the measured pore water pressure graphs need to be supplemented with an additional method of monitoring because the difference between the rise and fall of the tide was irregular. Safety monitoring by the limits set from values predicted by linear regression and standard errors on the hydraulic head loss graph was not affected by irregularity of tide. But if the condition of an embankment is changed gradually and slowly, it will not be detected on the hydraulic head loss graph. The graph of hydraulic head loss rate for every 24 hours vs date showed clearly that the sea water blocking state was getting better or not even though it was changed gradually and slowly.
The aim of statistics education is to enhance statistical thinking. Variability is the key components of statistical thinking. The research has been reviewed preceding research about variability of data. Proceeding from what has been considered above, this research developed learning materials that investigated the concept of variability as it relates to Freudenthal's context by having students sort a particular context. The research is executed the case study evidently aimed at Junior High School 3rd Grade Student's Understanding of Variability. The study of variability in data can be an important start to reach a testing of statistical hypothesis; students reduce data and draw graphs by relating probability distribution to relative frequency and normal distribution. Thus, this study offers basic materials into developing both contents and methods of education need to consider with this sense of purpose held by students to achieve this goal.

Recently graphical modelling is being studied as a useful process analysis tool for exploratory causal analysis. Graphical modelling is a presentation method that uses graphs to describe statistical models of the structures of multivariate data. This paper describes an application of this graphical modeling with two cases from the automotive parts industry. One case is the unbalance problem of the pulley, an automotive generator part. There is multivariate data of the product from each of the processes which are connected in the series. By means of exploratory causal analysis between the variables using graphical modeling, the key processes which causes the variation of the final characteristics and their mechanism of the causal relationship have become clear. Another case is, also, the unbalanced problem of automotive starter parts which consists of many parts and is manufactured by complex machinery and assembling process. By means of the similar technique, the key processes are obtained easily and the results are reasonable from technical knowledge.
Purpose: Obesity is already a major clinical problem in Korea, so obesity prevention and treatment practices are gradually interested in Korean Medicine doctors. Moreover subjective body shape image entered as a important medical topic recently. To make a graph system for clinical tool which based on the Korean national standard physical scale. Methods: Physical data of the girth of upper arm, abdomen, hip, buttock, flank, calf, and body weight were statistically analyzed, which collected through the fifth national standard physical scale research. And then reviewed those statistical validation. Results: Relationship of the each body scale data and those graphs were fit and right statistically. Conclusion: These new achieved graph system of Korean standard body scales could be adopt as a useful clinical tool for body image related patients such as obesity, PCOD and postpartum patient.
When developing a classifier using various objective functions, it is important to compare the performances of the classifiers. Although there are statistical analyses of objective functions for classifiers, simulation results can provide us with direct comparison results and in this case, a comparison criterion is considerably critical. A Receiver Operating Characteristics (ROC) graph is a simulation technique for comparing classifiers and selecting a better one based on a performance. In this paper, we adopt the ROC graph to compare classifiers trained by mean-squared error, cross-entropy error, classification figure of merit, and the n-th order extension of cross-entropy error functions. After the training of feed-forward neural networks using the CEDAR database, the ROC graphs are plotted to help us identify which objective function is better.
We consider the problem of estimating the error variance of in a two-way mixed-effects ANOVA model using noninformative priors. First, we derive Jeffreys' prior, a reference prior, and matching priors. We then provide marginal posterior distributions under those noninformative priors. Finally, we provide graphs of marginal posterior densities of the error variance and credible intervals for the error variance in two real data set and compare these credible intervals.
This paper derives three estimation methods for the between group variance component for serially correlated random model. To compare their estimation capability, three designs having different degree of unbalancedness are considered. The so-called empirical quantile dispersion graphs(EQDGs) used to compare estimation methods as well as designs. The proposed conditional ANOVA estimation is robust for design unbalancedness, however, ML estimation is preferred to the conditional AOVA and REML estimation regardless of design unbalancedness and correlation coefficient.
In this study, the MIVQUE estimators of variance components for the one-way random model with unbalanced data are investigated. In order to compare the efficiency of MIVQUE estimators obtained by using three priori estimates, the Empirical Quantile Dispersion Graphs (EQDGs) are used. From the results of Monte-Carlo study, the MIVQUE estimator using ${\sigma}^2_{\alpha}\;=\;0\;and\;{\sigma}^2_{varraho}=1$ as the priori estimate performs well relative to other estimators.

The information amount of monosyllables(characters) in Korean language is measured, in order of the following 3 steps. 1) The basic consonants and vowels are partitioned into two steps, 2) These set symbols, C and V, are sequentially combined to obtain the equation which represent the flow state of monosyllables. 3) From the equation, the state graphs can be constructed to examine the proferties of a stochastic process of monosyllables in Korean language. Furthermore, the entropy of Korean language by statistics is measured and compared with that of the western languages. The proposed methods are more definite, systematic, and simpler than the usual methods in examining the nature of information sources.
