Conclusion: Looking at the results of correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis with economic indicators, the unemployment rate showed negative influence to the total number of inpatients with facial bone fractures, and the number of inpatients with facial bone fractures caused by fall down, with statistical significance.
SPSS 18(Statistical Package for the Science)을 이용하여 빈도분석, t-test, ANOVA, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다.
Objectives: This study aimed to report the effectiveness and outcome on the prognosis of pregnancy of traditional Korean medicine treatment for inpatients who had a traffic accident during pregnancy. Methods: The study is conducted by analyzing the medical records of hospitalized patients in a Korean medicine hospital. Seventy-six pregnant patients who got into car accidents from March 2015 to February 2020 were included. We performed statistical analysis by using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences(SPSS) ver. 25.0. To verify the effect of traditional Korean medicine treatment for traffic accidents during pregnancy, we analyzed improvement of symptoms. Also, we analyzed the prognosis of pregnancy and signs of premature birth or miscarriage during treatment to verify the applicability of traditional Korean medicine treatment for traffic accidents during pregnancy. Results: Among the symptoms of pain, there was a statistically significant decrease in lower back pain, post neck pain, headache, pelvic pain, knee pain, lower limb pain, wrist pain, and upper limb pain. Other systemic symptoms showed statistically significant improvement in nausea, abdominal pain, dizziness, and lower limb numbness. All confirmed cases reported normal pregnancy maintenance and delivery, and no miscarriage was reported. Two cases that showed signs of premature birth or miscarriage during treatment were unrelated or unclear with traditional Korean medicine treatment. Conclusions: Traditional Korean medicine treatment is effective and applicable for pregnant women injured by traffic accidents. Further studies are needed to identify the effectiveness and safety of traditional Korean medicine treatment for the sequelae of traffic accidents during pregnancy.
질환 특성에서는 CCI(Charlson Comorbidity Index) 및 골밀도장애가 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다.
Background : The aim of this study was to examine the effectiveness of the critical pathway to diabetic patients who were admitted in the hospital. Methods : For establishment of critical pathway for diabetic patients, we organized the multidisciplinary care team. During 5 months, 31 diabetic inpatients were applied the critical pathway and the results were compared with 11 diabetic inpatients who were treated with conventional way. We assessed the patients satisfaction, knowledge on the disease, compliance of medical regimen, length of stay(LOS) and hospital cost. We used the computer program SAS for statistical analysis. Data were summarized with mean, and analyzed using t-test repeated measures ANOVA and Wilcoxon rank sum test. Results : Length of stay(LOS) was remarkably shortened in critical pathway group compared with the conventional treatment group($7.6{\pm}1.23$ vs $12.0{\pm}4.73$, p<0.000). Although LOS was significantly shortened in critical pathway group, patients satisfaction was much higher than conventional treatment group. There were no significant difference of knowledge on the disease, compliance of medical regimen and blood glucose level between two groups at discharge. Hospital cost of each patients also significantly decreased in critical pathway group(890,000 won vs 1,280,000 won, p<0.05). Conclusion : These results showed that establishment of critical pathway for diabetic inpatients with team approach is the one of the way to improve the quality of diabetic patients management and to enhance the efficiency of hospital management.

Methods : We investigated the demographic and therapeutic variables of all patients who were diagnosed with a herniated lumbar intervertebral disc and were hospitalized for more than 1 night at Dunsan Korean medicine hospital from January 1, 2014, to December 31, 2014. IBM SPSS 21.0 was used to conduct a logistic multiple regression analysis and a covariance analysis (ANCOVA) of the demographic and therapeutic variables collected from the electronic medical records and telephone surveys. Results : 1. A longer duration of hospitalization was significantly better for the maintenance of pain relief or a decrease in the pain after discharge. 2. Younger patients were significantly less likely to be treated with a Western medical treatment after discharge. 3. Most of the demographic and therapeutic variables were not statistically significant in regards to treatment for lower back pain since discharge. Conclusion : Some of the demographic and therapeutic variables had a positive effect on the prognosis at one year or greater in patients who received integrative Korean medical treatment for lumbar disc herniation. Continued and systematic research will be needed.
Objectives : This study aimed to analyze the management efficiency of Korean Medicine hospitals for recent 10 years(2001~2010) using the Data Envelop Analysis(DEA) model. Methods : We collected the management data of 23 Korean Medicine hospitals for DEA model from the Korean Oriental Medicine Hospitals' Association (KOMHA).
