직업과 종사상의 지위를 기준으로 구분한 사회계층에 따른 건강수준의 차이 (Differences and Inequalities in Health Status among Social Class Classified by Occupation and Job Status)

  • Purpose: To investigate difference in health status by social classes in Korea through second analysis the 1999 Social Statistic Survey raw data performed by National Statistic Office. Method: 52,100 subjects were 20-64 years old and students were excluded. Health status was measured self-rated health and disease prevalence past 2 weeks. Social classes were classified 5 categories by occupations and working status and 1 category by unemployment. Result: Unemployed people reported the worst self-rated health on average, the lower social classes, the worse self-rated health and higher disease prevalence. Health inequality still existed between social classes after adjusting sex, age, and education level. Conclusion: A certain strategy for improving unemployed people's health and people who are working in craft, simple manual labor, agriculture, fishery, and forestry.

Deletion diagnostics in fitting a given regression model to a new observation

  • A graphical diagnostic method based on multiple case deletions in a regression context is introduced by using the sampling distribution of the difference between two least squares estimators with and without multiple cases. Principal components analysis plays a key role in deriving this diagnostic method. Multiple case deletions of test statistic are also considered when a new observation is fitted to a given regression model. The result is useful for detecting influential observations in econometric data analysis, for example in checking whether the consumption pattern at a later time is the same as the one found before or not, as well as for investigating the influence of cases in the usual regression model. An illustrative example is given.

  • We introduce the concepts of intuitionistic fuzzy submodules and intuitionistic fuzzy weak congruences on an R-module (Near-ring module). And we obtain the correspondence between intuitionistic fuzzy weak congruences and intuitionistic fuzzy submodules of an R-module. Also, we define intuitionistic fuzzy quotient R-module of an R-module over an intuitionistic fuzzy submodule and obtain the correspondence between intuitionistic fuzzy weak congruences on an R-module and intuitionistic fuzzy weak congruences on intuitionistic fuzzy quotient R-module over an intuitionistic fuzzy submodule of an R-module.

수업설계안에 나타난 예비 중등수학교사의 통계적 소양 수준 분석연구 (Analysis on pre­service mathematics teachers' statistical literacy in lesson plan)

  • This study aims to investigate the statistical literacy of pre-service mathematics teachers and to discuss the impact of statistical literacy in lesson plan. For the purpose of this study, we analyzed 13 pre-service mathematics teachers' statistical literacy tests and lesson plans. The results of this analysis are as follows: First, pre-service mathematics teachers did not have a high level of statistical literacy, and it was also observed that there was a big level difference between them. Second, pre-service mathematics teachers' lesson plans showed significant difference in the level of the target grade, the characteristics of the target student, and the contents. Based on this study, we seek to find implications for how it is appropriate to educate teachers in charge of statistical education.

상업적 토지이용 패턴의 시공간 변화 탐색을 위한 공간통계 기법 적용 연구 (Research on Application of Spatial Statistics for Exploring Spatio-Temporal Changes in Patterns of Commercial Landuse)

  • 많은 지리적 현상은 시간 변화에 따라 동적인 공간 패턴을 보이며, 이러한 동적인 공간 패턴을 탐색하기 위한 연구들이 수행되어왔다. 그러나 기존의 많은 연구는 시간의 흐름에 따른 공간 패턴의 변화를 연속 또는 누적 측면에서 다루기보다는 특정 시점이나 기간 동안의 정적인 공간 패턴 분석에 초점을 두고 있다. 따라서 시간 변화 과정에서 수반되는 공간 프로세스의 관성(inertia)을 효과적으로 파악할 필요가 있다. 이러한 측면을 고려하여, 본 연구의 목적은 지리현상의 공간패턴을 탐색하는 새로운 공간통계 탐색방법을 제안하고, 이를 사례연구에 적용하는데 있다. 즉, 새로운 공간통계량을 제안하고, 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션(Monte Carlo Simulation)을 통해 새로운 통계량의 z-값을 산출한 뒤, 시간 변화에 따른 공간 패턴의 변화를 누적 방식으로 탐색하는 방법을 소개하고자 한다. 이를 위해 공간 패턴을 측정하는 J 통계량과 CUSUM 통계량이 결합된 방법을 제안하고, 사례연구로 최근 200년 동안 미국 뉴욕 주의 이리 카운티(Erie County)의 상업적 토지이용의 공간 패턴 변화를 살펴보았다. 이러한 시공간 패턴 변화 탐색 방법을 통하여 새로 구성된 공간통계량을 단위시간마다 누적적으로 반영하여 공간패턴의 연속적인 변화추이의 효과적인 탐색이 가능하였다.

귀추를 이용한 가설 설정이 과학 탐구 능력과 창의적 사고 활동에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Hypothesis Formulation using Abduction on Science Processing Skills and Creative Thinking Activities)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of hypothesis formulations using abduction on science processing skills and the creative thinking activities. As the subject, 2 classes in the $6^{th}$ grade of B elementary school located in Busan were selected. Through the pre/post inspection design between experiment and comparison class, the units of science courses in the second semester of $6^{th}$ grade '1. A change in the weather' and '2. Various gases' were applied. The results were as follows: Firstly, the test on science processing skills showed that there was not statistic meaningful differences between the two groups. And, in the sub-parts, there was not statistic meaningful differences between the two groups. Secondly, it was observed that it would have a meaningful effect to improve the creative thinking activities of students who performed hypothesis formulation using abduction. Especially, through this, the experimental class gave a positive effect on the 'Fluency' and 'Elaboration', one of lower categories of the creative activities. The results of 'Flexibility' and 'Originality' in the experimental class were higher than those of students in the comparative class. However, according to statistical analysis, this result is meaningless. Thirdly, on the survey about the hypothesis formulation using abduction, many students thought that this learning method was very interesting and helpful to study science. In addition, it was observed that the ability to use abduct thinking was improved more than ever before.

기억력 향상 기능성 게임의 학습 효과에 대한 연구 (A Study on Learning Effect of Serious Game for Memory Improvement)

  • 기능성 게임은 게임적 요소인 재미에 교육과 훈련, 치료 등의 특별한 목적을 부가하여 개발한 게임을 말한다. 최근 국내외 기능성 게임 시장은 급성장하고 있으며, 차세대 플랫폼으로 떠오르고 있는 스마트폰의 보급으로 인해 기능성 게임 시장은 더욱 다양한 목적과 사용자를 대상으로 확대될 것으로 예견된다. 본 연구에서는 스마트폰을 이용하여 일반인의 기억력 향상을 위한 기능성 게임 'QUICK REMEMBER 20'을 설계 및 구현하고, 게임 이용자에 대한 사회통계학적 분류에 따른 분석과 게임의 학습 효과에 대한 분석 연구를 수행하였다.

일부 임상치과위생사의 치과보철물 제작 과정에서의 감염관리에 대한 교육경험, 인식 및 실천도 (Correlations of education experience, awareness and practice of infection control during the prosthodontic treatment in clinical dental hygienists)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between education experience, awareness and practice of infection control during the prosthodontic treatment in clinical dental hygienists. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was answered by 255 clinical dental hygienists in Seoul and Gyeonggi areas from October 10 to December 30, 2016. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects (8 items), dental prosthesis infection education experience (5 items), dental prosthesis infection awareness (5 items) and dental prosthesis infection practice (14 items) based on Likert 5 point scale. For statistical analysis, SPSS Statistic 22.0 was used. Results: A significant association was shown among education experience, awareness and practice of infection control during the prosthodontic treatment of clinical dental hygienists (p<0.001). Dental hygienists count, dental prosthesis infection education experience and awareness had positive influences, but the age group from 26 to 30 had negative influence on dental prosthesis infection practice. Conclusions: The study confimed that the dental prosthesis infection education program and continued education is necessary for the safety and health of patients, and to prevent the cross-infections of the clinical dental hygienists.

  • The likelihood distance for the joint distribution of two multivariate normal distributions with common covariance matrix is explicitly derived. It is useful for identifying outliers which do not follow the joint multivariate normal distribution with common covariance matrix. The likelihood distance derived here is a good ground for the use of a generalized Wilks statistic in influence analysis of two multivariate normal data.

Testing unknown age classes of life distributions based on TTT-transform

  • A nonparametric procedure for testing exponentially against used better than aged in expectation (UBAE) class of life distributions is presented. We construct a test statistics based on scaled total time on test (TTT)-transformation, to test exponentiality against UBAE class of life distributions. The distribution of the statistic is investigated via simulation. Practical applications of the proposed test are presented.
