  • The International Space Station (ISS) offers research opportunities for researchers in the field of remote sensing to conduct world-class activities in Low Earth Orbit. ISS provides the facilities to place and operate research experiments in a variety of fields, providing investigators opportunities to perform research and Earth observation. This paper is intended to give the reader an introduction to the ISS utilization and the capabilities for remote sensing research that are being implemented through the development of research facilities. We hope that reader will consider what kind of payloads could be developed to take advantage of facilities, and will consider proposing remote sensing research on the ISS.

  • In this paper, to evaluate the grid-connected 120kW class Photovoltaic(PV) system performance, as a consisted of solar cells, PCS, 150kVA transformer station. The paper address modeling and analysis of a grid-connected 120kW class photovoltaic generation system(PV system) PSCAD/EMTD and Psim. A PWM voltage source inverter(VIS) and its current control scheme have been implemented. A P&O(Perturbation and Observation) MPPT algorithms technique modeling has been simulated and analysed.

  • This paper analytically derives the variance of service time of a station in the symmetric IEEE 802.4 token bus network with single access class and finite buffer capacity. This performance measure is represented in terms of the total number of stations, the token hold time, the arrival rate of frames, the service rate, and other parameters. Using computer simulations, presented performance measure is validated.

  • This paper considers urban emergency service systems that dispatch vehicles (facilities) from fixed bases with the objective of finding an optimum allocation of emergency facilities. A case study of fire station problem of Seoul city is conducted to analyze the deployment of fire-fighting resources and develop a class of improved deployment strategies with Parameteric Allocation Model (P.A.M.). The study shows a long term plan leading to balanced fire protection for most fire hazardous districts as well as low alarm districts.

LDMOS를 이용한 광대역, 고효율 전력증폭기의 설계 (A Design of Wideband, High Efficiency Power Amplifier using LDMOS)

  • 종래의 LDMOS를 사용한 전력증폭기는 AB-급 및 도허티 방식으로 60MHz 대역폭의 협대역에서 55%의 효율을 보여주고 있으나, 기지국의 전력증폭 모듈의 RRH의 적용에 따라 100MHz이상의 대역확장과 60%이상의 고효율 전력증폭기를 요구하고 있으므로, 본 연구에서는 LDMOS FET를 이용한 J-급 전력증폭기를 설계하여 200MHz대역에서 60%이상의 고효율 특성을 나타내었다. 설계한 J-급 전력증폭기는 2차 고조파 부하가 순수한 리액턴스 성분만을 포함하고 작은 양호도 Q 값을 갖도록 출력단 정합회로를 최적화 시켰다. 측정결과 WCDMA 주파수 대역을 포함한 2.06~2.2GHz에서 연속파 신호를 입력하였을 때 62~70%의 전력 부가효율(PAE)의 특성을 갖는 10W급 J-급 전력증폭기를 구현하였다.

원자력발전소 직류전원계통용 축전지 성능시험 분석 (Analysis of Battery Performance Test for DC Power System in Nuclear Power Plant)

  • Function of battery bank stores energy for DC load in general, and DC power system of the nuclear power plant is used to supply DC loads for safety- featured instrumentation and control such as inverter, class 1E power system control and indication, and station annunciation. Class 1E DC power system must provide a power for the design basis accident conditions, and adequate capacity must be available during loss of AC power and subsequent safe shutdown of the plant. In present, batteries of Class 1E DC power system of the nuclear power plant uses lead-acid batteries. Class 1E batteries of nuclear power plants in Korea are summarized in terms of specification, such as capacity, discharge rate, bank configuration and discharge end voltage, etc. This paper summarizes standards of determining battery size for the nuclear power plant, and analyzes duty cycle for the class 1E DC power system of nuclear power plant. Then, battery cell size is calculated as 2613Ah according to the standard. In addition, this paper analyzes performance test results during past 13 years and shows performance degradation in the battery bank. Performance tests in 2001 and 2005 represent that entire battery cells do not reach the discharge-end voltage. Howeyer, the discharge-end voltage is reached in 14.7% of channel A (17 EA), 13.8% of channel B (16 EA), 5.2% of channel C (6 EA) and 16.4% of channel D (19 EA) at 2011 performance test. Based on the performance test results analysis and size calculation, battery capacity and degradation by age in Korearn nuclear power plant is discussed and would be used for new design.

KOMPSAT-2 위성 영상을 이용한 남극 세종기지 주변 바톤반도의 토지피복분류 (Land-Cover Classification of Barton Peninsular around King Sejong station located in the Antarctic using KOMPSAT-2 Satellite Imagery)

  • 남극 세종 과학 기지가 위치하고 있는 바톤반도는 눈과 식생이 주를 이루고 있고, 기후변화와 같은 환경변화에 민감하게 반응한다. 극지역의 지표 모니터링은 기후변화 이해를 위해 중요하다. 그러나 극 지역은 접근성 및 공간규모로 인해 지속적으로 모니터링 하기에 어려움이 있다. 위성영상은 지속적으로 동일지역을 모니터링 할 수 있다는 장점과 함께 다중분광영역을 이용하여 지표의 상태를 파악하는데 효율적이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 바톤반도의 지표의 상태를 지속적으로 모니터링하기 위한 기초자료로 KOMPSAT-2 다중 분광 위성영상을 이용하여 토지피복분류를 수행하였고, 나아가 분류된 토지피복 중 식생 종의 분포를 파악하였다. 다중분광영상인 KOMPSAT-2 위성영상과 현장관측자료를 이용하여 계층적 분류를 수행하였고 정확도를 평가하였다. 전반적으로 식생지역과 비식생 지역이 명확하게 분류되었으나 식생 종 분류에는 낮은 정확도를 보였다.

응급구조과 학생 현장실습의 실제와 개선방안 연구 (Study on Reality of Field Practice and Improvements by Students of Dep. of Emergency Medical Technology)

  • As a result of analyzing problems in field practice and its effects, the following conclusions can be obtained. Man students were more satisfied with their choice of this department than woman students and woman students recognized the importance of hospital practice although they felt the need of fire fighting station practice and man students felt the necessity of hospital practice, but they answered the fire fighting station practice was important. Departments of field practice are emergency and nurse departments in hospitals and emergency aid section in fire fighting stations. And it is found that field practice was performed well in relation to major subject. Areas of practice included emergency room, operation room and extensive cure unit and the experience of ambulance was more in fire fighting station than in hospital. Clinical guidance of professor was preferred to once a week and the students answered they felt satisfaction with practice through conference. Answer that field practice was helpful in understanding class was very high as 96.8% and its connection with employment was low as 12.8%. It is found that a proper timing of field practice was winter vacation for hospital practice after completing the second semester of the first year and summer vacation for fire fighting station practice after the first semester of the second year. The most difficult department in field practice was nurse department in hospital because 'respondents were practice students' and administrative department in fire fighting stations because 'they lacked recognition of paramedic'. In making practice diary, 'describing measure results' was difficult most and the respondents wanted to keep the diary in their custody.

  • 정부는 2019년 1월 세계 최고 수준의 수소경제 선도국가로 도약하기 위해 「수소경제 활성화 로드맵」을 발표했으며, 우리나라가 강점이 있는 수소자동차와 연료전지를 양대 축으로 수소경제를 선도할 수 있는 산업생태계 구축 전략을 세웠다. 그 일환으로 2022년 310개소, 2040년 1,200개소의 수소충전소 보급목표를 수립하였다. 이에 발맞춰 2021년 2월 한국가스안전공사는 속도감 있는 수소충전소 구축을 위해 시공단계에서 안전기준에 따른 다양한 현장 문제 발생으로 인한 시공지연을 사전해소하기 위한 수소충전소 사전컨설팅 제도를 운영하게 된다. 본 논문은 사전컨설팅 제도에 대해 알아보고 그 효과를 분석하고자 한다.
