For an efficient software download in cellular CDMA systems, session admission control based on area (SACA) is presented. In the SACA scheme, the base station only allows mobile terminal to start session when the mobile locates near the base station of a cell. A mobile that is located near cell center can request software download session, but the mobile that is far away from the center can request session only after arriving near the cell center. Session duration time follows exponential and Pareto distribution. Performance is analyzed in terms of handoff rate, mean channel holding time, session blocking probability and handoff forced termination probability. As analysis results, handoff rate between cells in the proposed scheme is reduced to 30 ~ 250 % compared to conventional scheme, according to traffic characteristics such as terminal speed, session duration time and the size of the allowable zone area in a cell for the start of the session. And new session blocking probability slightly decreases to 5 ~ 20 %, but handoff session forced termination probability drastically decreases to 35 ~ 220 %.

Traditional TCP implementations have the under-utilization problem in large bandwidth delay product networks especially during the startup phase. In this paper, we propose a delay-based congestion control(DCC) mechanism to solve the problem. DCC is subdivided into linear and exponential growth phases. When there is no queueing delay, the congestion window grows exponentially during the congestion avoidance period. Otherwise, it maintains linear increase of congestion window similar to the legacy TCP congestion avoidance algorithm. The exponential increase phase such as the slow-start period in the legacy TCP can cause serious performance degradation by packet losses in case the buffer size is insufficient for the bandwidth-delay product, even though there is sufficient bandwidth. Thus, the DCC uses the RTT(Round Trip Time) status and the estimated queue size to prevent packet losses due to excessive transmission during the exponential growth phase. The simulation results show that the DCC algorithm significantly improves the TCP startup time and the throughput performance of TCP in large bandwidth delay product networks.

This study developed searching network reduction algorithm for reduce shortest path searching time. Developed algorithm is searching nodes that have the including possibility of less weights path than temporal path that consists minimum number of nodes and minimum sum of the straight line distances. The node that has the including possibility of shortest path is the node that the sum of straight line distance from start node and straight line distance to target node is less than the value that temporary path's weights divided by minimum weights units. If searching network reconstitutes only these nodes, the time of shortest path searching will be reduced. This developed algorithm has much effectiveness that start node and target node is close in large network.
We focus on the Real time Fire Scheduling Problem (RFSP), the problem of determining the sequence of targets to be fired at, for the objective of minimizing threatening probability to achieve tactical goals. In this paper, we assume that there are m available weapons to fire at n targets (> m) and the weapons are already allocated to targets. One weapon or multiple weapons can fire at one target and these fire operations should start simultaneously while the finish time of them may be different. We suggest mathematical modeling for RFSP and several heuristic algorithms. Computational experiments are performed on randomly generated test problems and results show that the suggested algorithms outperform the firing method which is generally adopted in the field artillery.
This paper present a new optimization model to generate aggregate production planning by considering electric cost. The new Time Of Switching (TOS) electric type is introduced by switching over Time Of Day (TOD) and Time Of Use (TOU) electric types to minimize the electric cost. The fuzzy demand and Dynamic inventory tracking with multiple plant capacity are modeled to cover the uncertain demand of customer. The constraint for minimum hour limitation of plant running per one start up event is introduced to minimize plants idle time. Furthermore; the Optimal Weight Moving Average Factor for customer demand forecasting is introduced by monthly factors to reduce forecasting error. Application is illustrated for multiple cement mill plants. The mathematical model was formulated in spreadsheet format. Then the spreadsheet-solver technique was used as a tool to solve the model. A simulation running on part of the system in a test for six months shows the optimal solution could save 60% of the actual cost.

This paper apollos an ant colony system (ACS) for the vehicle routing problem with time window (VRPTW). The VRPTW is a generalization of the VRP where the service of a customer can begin within the time windows defined by the earliest and latest times when the customer will permit the start of service. The ACS has been applied effectively in geographical environment such as TSP or VRP by meta-heuristic that imitate an ant's biologic special duality in route construction, 3 saving based ACS (SB-ACS) is introduced and its solution is improved by local search. Through iterative precesses, the SB-ACS is shown to drive the best solution. The algorithm has been tested on 56 Solomon benchmarking problems and compared to the best-known solutions on literature. Experimental results shows that SB-ACS algorithm could obtain food solution in total travel distance minimization.
This paper introduces models for preventive maintenance policies and considers periodic preventive maintenance policy with minimal repair when the failure of system occurs. It is assumed that minimal repairs do not change the failure rate of the system. The failure rate under prevention maintenance received an effect by a previously prevention maintenance and the slope of failure rate increases the model where it considered. Also the start point of failure rate under prevention maintenance considers the degradation of system and that it increases quotient, it assumed. Per unit time it bought an expectation cost from under this prevention maintenance policy. We obtain the optimal periodic time and the number for the periodic preventive maintenance by using Nakagawa's Algorithm, which minimizes the expected cost per unit time.

Effect of Soft-start curing on the contraction stress of composite resin restoration polymerized with LED and plasma curing unit The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of soft-start light curing on contraction stress and hardness of composite resin. Composite resin (Filtek $Z-250^{TM}$, 3M ESPE, USA) was cured using the one-step continuous curing method with three difference light sources ; conventional halogen light ($XL3000^{TM}$, 3M ESPE, USA) cure for 40 seconds at $400 mw/cm^2$, LED light (Elipar Freelight $2^{TM}$, 3M-ESPE, USA) cure for 20 seconds at $800\;mW/cm^2$ a and plasma arc light ($Flipo^{TM}$, LOKKI, France) cure for 12 seconds at $1300 mW/cm^2$. For the soft-start curing method ; LED light (Elipar Freelight $2^{TM}$, 3M-ESPE, USA) cure exponential increase with 5 seconds followed by 17 seconds at $800\;mW/cm^2$ and plasma arc light ($Flipo^{TM}$, LOKKI, France) cure 2 seconds light exposure at $650\;mW/cm^2$ followed by 11 seconds at $1300\;mW/cm^2$. The strain guage method was used for determination of polymerization contraction. Measurements were recorded at each 2 second for the total of 800 seconds including the periods of light application. Obtained data were analyzed statically using Repeated measures ANOVA, One way ANOVA, and Tukey test. The results of present study can be summarized as follows: 1. Composite resin restoration showed transient expansion just after irradiation of curing light. Contraction stress was increased rapidly at the early phase of polymerization and reduced slowly as time elapsed (P<0.05). 2. Contraction stress was not revealed significant difference between Halogen curing light groups and LED and Plasma Light curing with soft-start group (P>0.05). 3. LED and Plasma Light curing with soft-start showed lower contraction stress than the one-step continuous light curing (P<0.05).

This research is intended to identify how office worker's recognition of strength affects the intention of starting a business when it is used as a medium for utilizing strength. The survey period was conducted for two months from January 17, 2019 to March 8, 2019. In order to achieve the object of this study, a significant number of employees have been collected nationwide, and 287 office workers were analyzed after collecting 300 questionaires, excluding 13 office workers who were not sincere. The significant data were analyzed by utilizing the structural equation and technical statistics and by verifying the conformity of structural model and measurement model and by investigating the relationship between variables. The results of this study are summarized as follows: First, employee's perception of strength has been found to have a significant effect on the utilizing of strength. Second, the use of workers' strengths has been found to have a significant effect on the intention of starting a business. Third, it has been confirmed that in the relationship between the employee's perception of strength and intention to start a business, the recognition of strength has a significant effect on the intention of starting a business only through the use of strength. Most office workers are nervous about the future and make various plans. The time to live after retirement is getting longer and jobs and working hours are shrinking at an alarming rate. According to the analysis on the status of small business owners in the mid-term of 2017 data, the average monthly operating profit of small business owners across the country is decreasing over the years, and most start-ups are subsistence-type start-ups, and they decide to start their own businesses because they have no other choice than start-ups. As the number of small business owners suffering from financial difficulties has increased since the financial crisis and insecurity of job is pushing those with financial difficulties after retirement to the battleground of the start-up market, the result of this research suggest that the workers need to recognize their own strength and enhance the importance of utilizing the strength.

The purpose of this research is to improve the investment success rate for startups in the water industry for the development of the entrepreneurial environment of the Korean water industry. In this research, we identified investment determinants through prior research and stratified them, and then surveyed the investor group at the beginning of the start-up using the FGI method, and determined the order of the investment determinants of investors. At the same time, we classified 41 start-ups related to the water industry into two groups: the group that received investment and the group that did not in the early stages of the start-up. Then we investigated the understanding of the investor's investment determinants, ranked them, and compared them by using the AHP technique. Through this, this research proposes five implications. First, it is important for start-ups in the early stages to receive seed investment to revitalize investment for startups in the water industry. For this, startups need to understand investors and prepare to attract investment with the perspective of angel investors rather than the perspective of VC investors. Second, Start-ups in the water sector should consider that the characteristics of the founder are important in order to receive seed investment, and also need to define their business at the industry and market level, and provide relevant rationale to meet the expectations of investors who value industry expertise and experience, and to increase the possibility of seed investment, which is important in the early stages of a startup. Third, institutions, such as K-water(Korea Water Resources Corporation), that support water industry startups need to conduct open innovation business opportunities discovery programs linked to startups so that startups currently participating in the startup support program could have business opportunities from the business infrastructure of platform-forming companies in the water industry. In particular, such institutions should help founders develop their industrial expertise and careers by supporting this type of start-up preparation process through the participation of in-house venture founders. Fourth, when K-water uses the government start-up support fund to discover and foster founders, it should increase initial contact with seed investors, conduct more thorough verification of business plans, and develop programs that use government start-up support funds to prepare a business suitable for seed angel investors. Fifth, K-water should support seed by connecting funds for initial investment among funds operated by itself. It is also necessary to develop a program that links the company receiving the seed investment with VC investment, not angel investment in cooperation with the VC fund operation entity participating as an LP so that companies that have attracted seed investment could attract follow-up VC investment.
