This research is the descriptive survey research targeting construction workers for searching a vitalization method on safety education by understanding the real condition of the sense of safety consciousness and the condition of safety education. The collected data of 147 workers are analyzed by using arithmetic mean, t-test, and ANOVA Analysis of Variance through SPSS PC program. This research investigated the real condition of safety consciousness, recognition on safety education, and the differences of safety consciousness depend on the general characteristic of subject. According to the result of the study, development of standardized safety consciousness assessment tool and institutionalization of safety education program is needed.

This study was carried out to develop the core technology for the manufacturing the flat floor panel with the bamboo grown in Damyang region maintaining its indigenous merits. Using capital bamboo(Phyllostachys bambusoides) of Damyang with superior physical and working properties, Authors have standardized the core technologies for the integrated production of flat floor panel using this superior bamboo i.e, washing, splitting, flattening, blasting, and overlaying over plywood. It is expected to increase the income from bamboo forest and to enhance the image of the eco-city, Damyang with this technological development. Additional quality assuring test and economical analysis for the industralization as building material will be performed.

This paper describes a research study on the durability and strength properties of thin quiet-permeable asphalt concrete. Such asphalt mixes have high porosity, which offers significantly better drainages than normal mix designs. However, these materials also exhibit poor durability and strength limiting their use in pavement application. To remedy this, fiber and polymer modifiers have been proposed. All samples were added to modified binder which were prepared with or without the modifiers and fiber using Marshall mix procedures and were experimentally tested using various standardized testing procedures including percent air void for porosity, cantabro test and marshall stability. In general, the results of marshall stability showed that modified mixtures were equivalent to unmodified mixtures. Especially, the result of cantabro tested modified mixtures was superior to unmodified mixtures.

EHV underground transmission cable characterized by low loss and bulk capacity should have high reliability to be protected fully from external damages, not to speak of its quality. In 345kV underground transmission lines of our country, the usage of frie protection trough is standardized. Fire protection trough consists of combination of trough body, spacer, shutting board, fastener, and etc. and it is required to have a high level of fire-retardant characteristics and mechanical strength. Since 1992, we, GoldStar Cable, with collaboration of Lucky, have participated in the development of fire protect ion trough and completed the type test of manufacturing site and will be supposed to go into mass product within 1993.

Waterproofing materials and construction methods have been developed and applied to various construction sites since the past. However, there many cases where the waterproofing performance is not satisfactory, leading to continuous water leakage. It has been observed that a key reason for this is because waterproofing method and material selection is not optimized in terms of the appropriate application area and environmental degradation factors. This paper proposes that future selection of waterproofing methods should consider the following evaluation criteria; 1) waterproof performance evaluation according to site conditions, 2) evaluation of construction method, 3) manufacturing and maintenance of waterproofing systems.

This study is a replication of Clemente and Sturgis' study conducted among 600 American cities in 1972. The impact of population size, physical density, social density, and age of 56 Korean cities upon the extent of their industrial diversification was analyzed. Hypotheses concerning each independent variable were generated from the theory of the development of the division of labor proposed by Durkheim and subsequently adopted by human ecologists. Zero-order correlation analysis and regression analysis were employed to test the hypotheses. The standardized partial regression coefficients indicated that social density and age of cities exert significant positive impact upon industrial diversification. On the other hand, population size showed a significant negative impact upon industrial diversification. In addition, it was discovered that the combined influence of the independent variables account for 34.6 percent of the variation in industrial diversification. The findings of this study were compared with the results of Clemente and Sturgis' study. Some suggestions for future research are presented and discussed.

This study aimed to building models to understand the relationships between reasoning resources and content knowledge. We applied Support Vector Machine and linear models to the data including fifth graders' scores in the Cornel Critical Thinking Test and the Iowa Assessments, demographic information, and learning science approach (a student-centered approach to learning called the Science Writing Heuristic [SWH] or traditional). The SWH model showing the relationships between critical thinking domains and academic achievement at grade 5 was developed, and its validity was tested across different learning environments. We also evaluated the stability of the model by applying the SWH models to the data of the grade levels. The findings can help mathematics educators understand how critical thinking and achievement relate to each other. Furthermore, the findings suggested that reasoning in mathematics classrooms can promote performance on standardized tests.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify major trends and characteristics of studies on aromatherapy in Korea. Methods: Literature on the studies of aromatherapy in Korea was retrieved using RISS, KISS, DBpia, and Pubmed. The studies were analyzed based on publication year, study design, intervention method, and measuring variables. The level of applied intervention was assessed by target group, the types of aroma, and their effects. Results: A total of 111 studies was included in this study. Most of studies on aromatherapy were conducted using a experimental design to test the effects of aromatherapy as a nursing interventions. Conclusion: This study showed that methods of mixing oils, sites of massage, and target groups vary among studies on aromatherapy in Korea. It is suggestive that standardized methods to mix oils and to apply aroma is in need.

When the fire door is recently installed in the field, there are frequent cases where the fire door is manufactured with fire door having low quality or different structure compared to the performance that the fire door producer has confirmed in the performance test or the construction specification. In order to improve the on-site quality management of the fire door, we comprehensively classify the quality management items of the fire door according to the management subject and the step by stage and set the field quality management procedure, the field quality management inspection item, regulations and standardized checklists were presented.

This study constructed a VAR model with cotton futures and spot price data from April 30, 2009 to November 16, 2022, for empirical analysis utilizing the Granger causality test to analyze the dynamic relationship between cotton futures and spot market prices in China. The impulse response function and variance decomposition analysis showed that the cotton spot prices at flowering have a causal relationship with each other; in terms of mutual influence and impact, futures prices are higher than spot prices. Finally, it proposed countermeasures and suggestions from the perspective of establishing a standardized cotton spot market, improving the laws and regulations of the cotton futures market and trading system, and optimizing the structure of investment subjects.
