The conservation methods for the charred-woods excavated under the Daewoongjeon Hall of Youngguksa Temple, Youngdong, Chungbuk, Korea were investigated. The tests revealed that PEG#400 10% for four days followed by gradual application of PEG#4000 10% to 40% showed the most stable and robust results, showing no cracks in macroscopic examination. This treatment method was applied to the two charred elements, which appeared to be the capitals at the excavated site. After the treatment, the consolidated capitals were transported to the laboratory, where they were retreated with PEG#4000 80% at $85^{\circ}$.... Charred capitals showed also an excellent level of stability.

In this paper, it is purpose to develop a pulsed $CO_2$ laser with stable output at pulse repetition rate range of 2 KHz. We used a IGBT as a switching device. The laser cavity was fabricated as an axial and water cooled type. It was used a ring blower to increase a cooling effect The laser performance characteristics as parameters, such as pulse repetition rate, gas pressure have been investigated. The experiment was done under 3 electrode-type instead of 2 electrode-type. To achieve 3 electrode-type, we used two pulse-transformers which is operated parallel. As a result, the maximum output was about 28 W at the total pressure of 20 Torr, the gas mixture $Co_2$:$N_2$:He=1:9:15 and the pulse repetition rate of 1300 Hz.

It becomes more and more more important for the storage that supports high speed recording and stable access from network environment. As one field of basic science which produces massive astronomical data, VLBI(: Very Long Baseline Interferometer) is now demanding more data writing performance and which is directly related to astronomical observation with high resolution and sensitivity. But most of existing storage are cloud model based for the high throughput of general IT, finance, and administrative service, and therefore it not the best choice for recording of big stream data. Therefore, in this study, we design storage system optimized for high performance of I/O and concurrency. To solve this problem, we implement packet read and writing module through the use of libpcap and pf_ring API on the multi core CPU environment, and build a scalable storage based on software RAID(: Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks) for the efficient process of incoming data from external network.
The objectives of this study were to prepare PLGA film onto the surface of the capsular tension ring (CTR) for controlled drug release and investigate the influence of plasticizers, the test drug and measurement conditions on flexibility of the film. Film solutions were prepared by dissolving PLGA, plasticizer (triethyl citrate, TEC or polyethylene glycol, PEG), test drug (dexamethasone) in ethyl acetate then films were prepared by spray coating and evaporation method. Then, the flexibility of PLGA film was determined by elongation test. The addition of plasticizer, PEG or TEC to PLGA copolymer caused a depression of glass transition temperature ($T_g$) and the elasticity of PLGA films increased. The addition of dexamethasone to the PLGA/TEC matrix decreased the flexibility of film. Dimensional factors of the PLGA films such as width and thickness were significantly influenced on flexibility of films and film length and elongation speed had no considerable influence on elongation of films. In this study, sufficiently flexible and stable PLGA films capable of being coated onto CTR could be prepared. This PLGA films can be used as a platform for local drug delivery.
The phase transformation in a film influences its surrounding. Effects of the precrystallization method, which removes influences on gate oxide caused by lateral crystallization, in metal-induced unilaterally crystallized polycrystalline silicon thin-film transistor devices and circuits were studied. Device by the method was shown to have a higher current drive, compared with conventional postcrystallized device. Moreover, we studied DC bias-induced changes in the performance of ring oscillator. PMOS inverters fabricated using precrystallized silicon films have very high dynamic and stable performance, compared with inverters fabricated using postcrystallized silicon films.
The rates of oxygen ring formation of $[Mo_2O_3(Ox)_2(OxH)_2(NCS)_2]$ have been investigated spectrophotometric method in binary aqueous mixtures. Temperature was $20^{\circ}C$ to $40^{\circ}C$ and pressure was varied up to 1500 bar. The observed rate constants are increased by hydrogen ion and decreased by thiocyanate. The more increasing of co-solvents dielectric constant, the more stable intermediate is formed. The observed rate constant is given by, $k_{obs}^{-1} = k^{-1} (1 + K^{-1}[H_2O]^{-1}) All activation parameters are positive values. The oxygen ring formation of [Mo_2O_3(Ox)_2(OxH)_2(NCS)_2]$ is believed to be a interchange-dissociative mechanism..
The following new cryptand 221 complexes of lanthanides(Ⅲ) and dioxouranium(Ⅵ) nitrate have been synthesized: $(Ln(C_{16}H_{32}N_2O_5)(H_2O)_2(NO_3)_3\ and \((UO_2)_2(C_{16}H_{32}N_2O_5)(H_2O)_4(NO_3)_4$. These complexes have been identified by elemental analysis, moisture titration, conductivity measurements and various spectroscopic techniques. The proton and carbon-13 NMR as well as calorimetric measurements were used to study the interaction of cryptand 221 with La(Ⅲ), Pr(Ⅲ ), Ho(Ⅲ) and $UO_2(Ⅱ)$ ions in nonaqueous solvents. The bands of metal-oxygen atoms, metal-nitrogen atoms and O-U-O in the IR spectra shift upon complexation to lower frequencies, and the vibrational spectra ({\delta}NMN$) of metal-amide complexes in the crystalline state exhibit lattice vibrations below 300 $cm^{-1}$. The NMR spectra of the lanthanides(Ⅲ) and dioxouranium(Ⅵ) nitrate complexes in nonaqueous solvents are quite different, indicating that the ligand exists in different conformation, and also the $^1H$ and $^{13}C-NMR$ studies indicated that the nitrogen atom of the ring has greater affinity to metal ions than does the oxygen atom, and the planalities of the ring are lost by complexation with metal ions. Calorimetric measurements show that cryptand 221 forms more stable complexes with $La^{3+}$ and $Pr^{3+}$ ions than with $UO^{22+}$ ion, and $La^{3+}/Pr^{3+}$ and $UO^{22+}/Pr^{3+}$ selectivity depends on the solvents. These changes on the stabilities are dependent on the basicity of the ligand and the size of the metal ions. The absorption band (230-260 nm) of the complex which arises from the direct interaction of macrocyclic donor atoms with the metal ion is due to n-{\delta}*$ transition and also that (640-675 nm) of $UO^{22+}$-cryptand 221 complex, which arises from interaction between two-dioxouranium(Ⅵ) ions in being out of cavity of the ligand ring is due to d-d* transition.
There are 82 volcanoes active during the 48 weeks of 2019 (January 30 to December 31, 2019; USGS data) Approximately 80~90 volcanoes are active on the Earth for a year. More than 91% of these volcanoes are took place in the circum-Pacific volcanic belt, which is commonly called 'Ring of Fire'. This status coincides with the distribution maps of active volcanoes on the earth: about 80 percent on subduction zone of the convergent plate boundaries; 15 percent on divergent plate boundaries; 5 percent on intra-plate zone. Typically five volcanoes are most active during the survey period (48 weeks); Dukono (Halmahera, Indonesia) 48 times, Aira (Kyushu, Japan) 47 times, Ebeko (Paramushir Island, Russsia) 46 times, Merapi (Central Java, Indonesia) 37 times, Krakatau (Indonesia) 33 times. The comparison of volcanic activity between 2018 and 2019 showed no significant difference. It is assumed that volcanic activity remains stable.

An automated anastomotic ring-pin system consisting of both the anastomotic ring-pin system and the coupler device has eliminated the drawbacks of the suture method. High density polyethylene (HDPE), a material with outstanding biocompatibility and injection molding capability, was used in the ring. SUS316 stainless steel, Ti-6Al-4Nb, Ti-6Al-4V, and unalloyed titanium were used in FEM simulations of the micropin. The authors categorized the microvascular anastomotic ring micropins into short neck (SN) and long neck (LN) groups in order to evaluate the effect of the micropin's fillet radius and neck length on the von Mises stress. The micropins were further divided into those with and without fillet. On the basis of the fillet radius rate (FRR), which represents the rate of change in the von Mises stress with respect to the availability and shape of the fillet, and the neck length rate (NLR), which represents the rate of change in the von Mises stress with respect to changes in the length of the neck within the fillet shape, it can be concluded that the SN-3 neck design is the most stable.
The surface structures of copper phthalocyanine (CuPc) thin films deposited on sulphur-passivated and plane perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic dianhydride (PTCDA)-covered InAs(100) surfaces have been studied by low energy electron diffraction (LEED) and van der Waals (vdW) intermolecular interaction energy calculations. The annealing to $300^{\circ}C$ and $450^{\circ}C$ of $(NH_4)_2S_x$-treated InAs(100) substrates produces a ($1{\times}1$) and ($2{\times}1$) S-passivated surface respectively. The CuPc deposition onto the PTCDA-covered InAs(100) surface leads to a ring-like diffraction pattern, indicating that the 2D ordered overlayer exists and the structure is dominantly determined by the intermolecular interactions rather than substrate-molecule interactions. However, no ordered LEED patterns were observed for the CuPc on S-passivated InAs(100) surface. The intermolecular interaction energy calculations have been carried out to rationalise this structural difference. In the case of CuPc unit cells on PTCDA layer, the planar layered CuPc structure is more stable than the $\alpha$-herringbone structure, consistent with the experimental LEED results. For CuPc unit cells on a S-($1{\times}1$) layer, however, the $\alpha$-herringbone structure is more stable than the planar layered structure, consistent with the absence of diffraction pattern. The results show that the lattice structure during the initial stages of thin film growth is influenced strongly by the intermolecular interactions at the interface.
