컴퓨터 시각에 의한 분무입자 크기와 분무량 측정법 개발 (Development of a Method to Measure Droplet Size and Spray Deposition Using Computer Vision)

  • A computer vision system consisted of a microscope, a CCD camera, a frame grabber and a personal computer was used to analyze spraying pattern. An algorithm was developed for the system to measure size of droplets including overlapped droplets, to count number of droplets, and to estimate spray deposition in a certain area from the data obtained. A series of experiment was carried out to test validity of the algorithm. The experiment resulted that accuracy of the droplet size measurement, accuracy of counting the number of droplets and the estimation of spray deposition were within an acceptable range. It was concluded from the results that the computer vision system operated by the developed algorithm is very useful tool to analyze spraying pattern.

  • Experiments on the automatic control of NaOH concentration and on the spraying condition of NaOH solution in the alkaline degreasing process of a continuous hot-dip galvanizing line have been carried out in order to improve degreasing performance of a galvanizing sheet steel using laboratory degreasing and galvanizing simulators. The concentration of NaOH for the good degreasing has been determined to be 6.0% and more and this concentration has been able to be automatically well controlled within $\pm$0.1% by employing a solution electrical conductivity meter under a flow injection analysis condition rather than by employing a sodium ion selective electrode in the degreasing simulator. Frequent blocking of the spraying nozzles of the solution has been reduced considerably by the set-up and periodical operation of an automatic valve system in the nozzle system. By applying this automatic valve system and by automatic controlling the NaOH concentration and other ordinary variables in the degreasing process, the degreasing performance has been increased from the conventional 76% to the new 85%.

과수원용 차량의 자율주행을 위한 적외선 측거 장치개발 (Development of Infrared Telemeter for Autonomous Orchard Vehicle)

  • Spraying operation is one of the most essential in an orchard management and it is also hazardous to human body. for automatic and unmanned spraying , an autonomous travelling vehicle is demanded. In this study, a telemeter was developed using infrared beam which could detect trunks and obstacles measure distance and direction from the vehicle travelling in the orchard. The telemeter system was composed of two infrared LED transmitters and receivers, a beam scanning device for continuous object detection , two rotary encoders for angle detector, and a beam level controller for uneven soil surface. The detected distance and direction signal s were sent to personal computer which made for the system display the angular and distance measurements through I/O board. According to a field test in an apple farm, the system detected up to 10m distance under 12 V of transmitted beam intensity, however, it was recommended that the proper beam transmit intensity be 7 v at the 10 m distance, because of the negative effect to human body at 12 V. The error rate of this system was 0.92 % when the actual distance was compared to measured one. The system was feasible at the small error rate. The developed telemeter system was an important part for autonomous travelling vehicle provided the real time object recognition . A direction control system could be constructed suing the system. It is expected that the system could greatly contribute to the development of autonomous farm vehicle.

  • To comply with the regulation of the reinforcing Clean Air Conservation Act, it is necessary for the semiconductor manufacturers to develop effective low-concentration acid gas abatement system to treat the flue gas. The low-concentration acid gas was found to be harder to deal with than the high-concentration one. In this study, the effect of various potential treatments such as air-assist nozzle spraying, magnetizing the scrubbing water, and adding surfactants to spraying and scrubbing water were investigate through the application of the statistical ANCOVA method, which was proved to be very useful tool when the inlet concentration of acid gas could not be controlled precisely and it affected the removal efficiency of the abatement system.

  • An experimental study on the catalytic reformer adopted in the auxiliary power unit system of solid oxide fuel cell was conducted. A 3-fluid nozzle, by which liquid fuel such as diesel, water and air are sprayed and uniformed mixed, was designed and used in this study. An electrically heated monolith inserted in the reformer was used for the vaporization of fuel and water in the transient state of reformer. The reformer uses the partial oxidizing reaction at the catalyst and the supply of water prevents the flame combustion in the spraying zone and lessens the deactivation of catalyst. The result showed that the reforming of liquid fuel can be started by the electrically heated monolith and the 3-fluid nozzle can give the uniform mixing of fuel, water and air. It was also found that the reformer fueled by n-hexadecane can make the reformate, at best, containing $H_2$ at 15.5% and CO at 11.5% that are used as fuel in the solid oxide fuel cell.

  • 논문에서는 밭농사에 적합하도록 설계된 와이어 기반 농약살포장비의 이동을 위한 구조물 설치 위치의 어려움을 해결하고자 한다. 이를 위해 간접적으로 대지구조를 파악할 수 있는 대지저항률 측정방법과 분석기술을 적용한다. 선정된 밭농사 지역에 일정 간격의 전극을 현장에 설치하고 내장형 제어보드에 다수의 스위치를 구동시켜 대지저항률 데이터를 자동 취득한다. 그리고 2차원 영상복원 알고리즘을 사용하여 대지분석을 수행하고 그 결과를 통해 실제 구조물 타설에 적합한 최적지점을 선정하고자 한다.

  • Solvent-free paint is sprayed from higher-pressure conditions, because the viscosity is large. The hydraulic actuator which can be operated under higher-pressure condition is required to spray solvent-free paints in painting process for the environmental protection. The purpose of this paper is to develop the hydraulic actuator under higher-pressure conditions for solvent-free paint spraying system. The hydraulic actuator consists of inner spool, outer spool and ball. The analysis of a structural stability was conducted by using ANSYS V11 under the design condition of upward and downward movement of spool. As a result, the maximum von-Mises stress applied on spool under 4mm displacement showed a value of 106MPa which was greater than the allowable stress of the spool with a value of 250MPa and a value of safety factor 3. This result suggested that the spool system be unstable under the design condition so that it was necessary for the spool system to be reinforced to secure the structural stability.

호수 환경의 녹조 확산 방지를 위한 드론 적용 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Application of Drone to Prevent the Spread of Green Tides in Lake Environment)

  • 최근 기후변화로 인한 물 부족 현상이 발생하고 있으며 저수지의 녹조 발생으로 농업용수의 물 관리 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 기존의 녹조 방지는 많은 사람이 현장에 투입돼 운영되고 보트를 통한 이동으로 최적의 살포 시간을 놓치고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해서는 오염을 사전에 차단하고 시간 내 이동하여 균일하게 복합 미생물을 균일하게 살포하는 기술이 필요하다. 방제 드론은 농약 살포에 활용되고 있으며 방제 드론을 활용하여 녹조 방지 업무에 적용이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 해양 방제 시스템 구축을 위한 기초연구로 저수지 환경 적용을 위해 수행되었으며, 그 결과물의 하나로 방제 드론에 사용 가능한 핵심기술인 드론 전용 노즐의 특성을 산출하였다. 특히, 기존의 농업용 방제 드론이 제시된 살포 간격 내에서 농도가 불균일하다는 단점이 있음을 파악하였고, 이를 보완하기 위해 노즐 위치선정 및 노즐 살포 균일도를 산출하였다. 실험 결과를 바탕으로 저수지 환경의 녹조 감시 시스템 구축의 핵심 알고리즘을 개발하고 추후 해양 방제 업무 적용에 활용이 가능하도록 정밀 방제 기술을 제안한다.

농업용 방제 드론을 이용한 균일 방제에 관한 실험적 검증 (Study on Experimental Verification of Uniform Control using Agricultural Drone)

  • 본 논문에서는 농업용 방제 드론을 이용하여, 균일 방제를 통해 병해충에 농작물을 방지하고자 한다. 방제가 수행되는 비행 고도는 4 m 로 고정하고, 비행 속도 4-5 m/sec. 범위에서 실험을 수행하였다. 방제사의 조종 습관 및 방법, 바람의 영향과 같이 환경적 요인이 작용하여 정량화된 방제 작업이 어렵다. 실험은 10 m 농지에서 감수지를 한 열에 1.25 m 간격으로 7 장씩 5 열을 10 m 간격으로 배치하고, 제안된 항공 살포 시스템을 적용하여 살포 실험을 수행하였다. 분사 노즐 중심으로 좌우측 약 3.75 m 지점에서부터 분사된 입자가 감소하기 시작하였다. 입자의 개수에 따라 유효 살포 폭은 약 7.5 m 영역으로 관찰되었으며, 제안된 살포 시스템이 균일 방제에 효과가 있음을 실험적으로 검증하였다.
