A Study of The Relationship between Consumption Value, Advertising Acceptance Attitude and Purchase Intention according to MBTI personality type - Focusing on the Consumption of Digital Products by MZ Generation

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between consumption value, advertisement acceptance attitude, and purchase intention according to the MBTI personality type. The results of a survey and analysis targeting the MZ generation with experience in purchasing digital products are as follows. 1.There was no difference between consumption value and advertisement acceptance attitude according to the MBTI personality type. 2. Among the consumption values, Factors of rarity value and emotional value had an effect on purchase intention. 3. Among the attitude of accepting advertisements, advertising favors, information trust and negative cognition had a positive effect on purchase intention. Accordingly, providing advertising content including information and interest about digital products is considered effective in marketing of the MZ generation, which represents flex consumption and minus-out consumption.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between life movement and physical composition in daily life of 110 middle-aged women (40 ~ 60s) who visited 3 university hospitals in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do from February to September 2019. The following conclusions were drawn. First, as a result of clustering total calorie consumption, activity average calorie consumption, and average number of walking, each group was classified into three clusters. The number of walking showed a difference in BMI and body fat mass, and there was no significant difference in average calorie activity. Second, activity average calorie consumption had a positive effect on BMI, and the average number of walks had a negative effect. Daily total calorie consumption had a positive effect on muscle mass, and activity average calorie consumption had a negative effect. Activity average calorie consumption had a positive effect on body fat mass and body fat percentage, and daily total calorie consumption and average number of walks had a negative effect.

Applying the Multiple Cue Probability Learning to Consumer Learning

  • In the present study, we apply the multiple cue probability learning (MCPL) paradigm to examine consumer learning from feedback in repeated trials. This paradigm is useful in investigating consumer learning, especially learning the relationships between the overall quality and attributes. With this paradigm, we can analyze what people learn from repeated trials by using the lens model, i.e., whether it is knowledge or consistency. In addition to introducing this paradigm, we aim to demonstrate that knowledge people gain from repeated trials with feedback is robust enough to weaken one of the most often examined contextual effects, the asymmetric dominance effect. The experiment consists of learning session and a choice task and stimuli are sport rafting boats with motor engines. During the learning session, the participants are shown an option with three attributes and are asked to evaluate its overall quality and type in a number between 0 and 100. Then an expert's evaluation, a number between 0 and 100, is provided as feedback. This trial is repeated fifteen times with different sets of attributes, which comprises one learning session. Depending on the conditions, the participants do one (low) or three (high) learning sessions or do not go through any learning session (no learning). After learning session, the participants then are provided with either a core or an extended choice set to make a choice to examine if learning from feedback would weaken the asymmetric dominance effect. The experiment uses a between-subjects experimental design (2 × 3; core set vs. extended set; no vs. low vs. high learning). The results show that the participants evaluate the overall qualities more accurately with learning. They learn the true trade-off rule between attributes (increase in knowledge) and become more consistent in their evaluations. Regarding the choice task, there is a significant decrease in the percentage of choosing the target option in the extended sets with learning, which clearly demonstrates that learning decreases the magnitude of the asymmetric dominance effect. However, these results are significant only when no learning condition is compared either to low or high learning condition. There is no significant result between low and high learning conditions, which may be due to fatigue or reflect the characteristics of learning curve. The present study introduces the MCPL paradigm in examining consumer learning and demonstrates that learning from feedback increases both knowledge and consistency and weakens the asymmetric dominance effect. The latter result may suggest that the previous demonstrations of the asymmetric dominance effect are somewhat exaggerated. In a single choice setting, people do not have enough information or experience about the stimuli, which may lead them to depend mostly on the contextual structure among options. In the future, more realistic stimuli and real experts' judgments can be used to increase the external validity of study results. In addition, consumers often learn through repeated choices in real consumer settings. Therefore, what consumers learn from feedback in repeated choices would be an interesting topic to investigate.

Analysis of the Mediating and Moderating Effects of Body Mass Index and Subjective Body Shape Perception on the Relationship Between Physical Activity and Self-Rated Health in Adolescents (청소년의 신체활동과 주관적 건강 인식 관계에서 체질량지수와 주관적 체형 인식의 매개효과와 조절효과 분석)

  • The study aim was to investigate the relationship between adolescents' physical activity and subjective health perceptions and determine whether body mass index (BMI), an obesity-related indicator, had a mediating or moderating effect on this relationship. To achieve the purpose of this study, raw data from the 18th Youth Health Behavior Online Survey (2022) were used, and data from 23,612 people were ultimately selected for the research analysis. A confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling were applied to the data, and bootstrapping techniques were used to verify the mediating effect. To verify the moderating effect, a multigroup analysis of the structural equation model was applied to calculate pairwise parameter comparison values. All statistical significance levels were set at .05. The results of this study follow. First, the greater the amount of physical activity among adolescents, the more positive was the effect on subjective health perception. Second, subjective body type perception had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between physical activity and subjective health perception. Third, subjective body type had a moderating effect on physical activity and subjective health perception. Specifically, people who perceived their subjective body types as average viewed their subjective health more positively when they engaged in more physical activity than those who perceived their body types as slightly or very overweight. In conclusion, preventing obesity and positively changing the subjective health status through sufficient physical activity during adolescence are important.

Aerobic Exercise Ameliorated High Fat Diet-induced Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress More Than Polyphenol Supplementation in Skeletal Muscle of Obese Mice (비만에 의해 유도된 근형질세망 스트레스에서 유산소 운동에 의한 감소효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of either aerobic exercise or polyphenols supplementation on mRNA expression of endoplasmic reticulum stress in skeletal muscle of high fat diet-induced obese mice. In the study, mice were divided into five groups: (1) NC (normal diet for 16 weeks as a control, n=10), (2) HC (high fat diet for 16 weeks as a control, n=10), (3) H-Re (high fat diet with resveratrol 25 mg/kg supplementation for 16 weeks, n=10), (4) H-Ch (high fat diet with chrysin 50 mg/kg supplementation for 16 weeks, n=10), and (5) HE (high fat diet with aerobic exercise for 16 weeks, n=10). Aerobic exercise was performed on a treadmill for 40~60 min/day at 10~14 m/min, 0% grade, four days/week for 16 weeks. Endoplasmic reticulum stress related genes were measured by real-time polymerase chain reaction. ATF6, PERK, $IRE1{\alpha}$, and BIP/GRP78 mRNA were significantly decreased in HE compared with those in HC (p<0.05). Also, ATF6, $IRE1{\alpha}$, and BIP/GRP78 mRNA were significantly decreased in H-Re compared with those in HC (p<0.05). ATF6 mRNA was significantly decreased in H-Ch compared with that in HC (p<0.05). These findings suggest that aerobic exercise, resveratrol, and chrysin supplementation changed ER stress markers. However, aerobic exercise was most effective on ameliorating the high fat diet induced ER stress markers. Thus, it seems that aerobic exercise might have a more positive effect on skeletal muscle endoplasmic reticulum stress compared with polyphenol supplementation in high fat diet-induced obese mice.

Moderate Intensity Exercise Has More Positive Effects on The Gene Expression of Inflammasome, M1, M2 Macrophage Infiltration and Brown Adipocyte Markers Compared to High Intensity Exercise in Subcutaneous Adipose of Obese Mice Induced By High Fat Diet (비만모델에서 중강도 운동에 의한 인플라마좀, 대식세포 침윤, 갈색지방 관련 바이오 마커의 개선 효과)

  • The purpose of the study was to compare the effect of either moderate or high intensity aerobic exercise on inflammasome, M1, M2 macrophage infiltration and brown adipocyte markers in subcutaneous adipose tissue of the high fat diet-induced obese mice. The 4 weeks male C57BL/6 mice were randomly assigned to four groups: normal diet control (NC; n=10), high-fat diet control (HC; n=10), high fat diet with moderate intensity exercise (HME; n=10), or high fat diet with high intensity exercise (HIE; n=10) groups. The high fat diet was given 60% calories from fat whereas normal diet was given 18% calories from fat. The moderate intensity exercise group (HME) was set at 10m/min in the first 2 weeks, 12m/min in 3-5 weeks and 14m/min in 6-16 weeks and the high intensity exercise group (HIE) was set at 14m/min in the first 2 weeks, 17m/min in 3-5 weeks and 18m/min in 6-16 weeks. The semi quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT PCR) was used to analyze the gene expression. The moderate intensity exercise significantly reduced the expression of NLRP3, F480, CD11c and CD86. Further, the moderate intensity exercise significantly increased CD206 and $PGC1{\alpha}$, BMP7 and PRDM. The high intensity exercise significantly reduced NLRP3, CD11c and CD86. Further, the high intensity exercise significantly increased $PGC1{\alpha}$ and BMP7. In conclusion, moderate intensity exercise has more positive effects on inflammasome, M1, M2 macrophage infiltration and brown adipocyte maskers compared to high intensity exercise in high fat diet induced obese mice.

The effects on fatigue and accuracy of cardiopulmonary resuscitation of the verbal-order method based on different time intervals (3, 4 minutes) (시간 (3분, 4분)에 따른 구령방법이 심폐소생술의 피로도와 정확도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the effect on the degree of fatigue and accuracy of cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to the different time delays (3 minutes, 4 minutes). Carrying out repeated measures of variance (repeated ANOVA), we have shown that time effect (F = 7.835, p <.01) and group effect (F = 8.695, p<.01) and the interaction effect between time and group (F = 12.582, p<.001) were all statistically significant. It means, in the test of the main effect of group and time (3 minutes, 4 minutes) using the Bonferroni method, it turned out that the amount of lactic acid of the experimental group was larger than that of the control group (p<.01), and there was no difference until 3 minutes, but the difference of the amount of lactic acid was shown between before the experiment and after 4 minutes, and between 3 minutes and 4 minutes (p <.05), respectively. Then, in the result of the corresponding sample t-test, for comparing the according to the measurement time, the accuracy after 3 minutes became higher than the case of 4 minutes (t = 4.584, p <.001). Therefore, before 119 arrives performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation for emergency, rescuers need to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation alternating with others before 3 minutes.

The effects of emotional labor and job burnout of the ski resort workers on service level (스키리조트 종사자의 감정노동과 직무소진이 서비스 제공수준에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was empirically to reveal the effects of emotional labor and job burnout of the ski resort workers on service level. For the study, a survey of 215 people working in domestic ski resorts was conducted. Emotional labor was composed of two sub-factors: surface acting and deep acting. Service level was composed of three sub-factors: tangibles, responsiveness, endeavor. The following results were obtained by confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis. First, in emotional labor which ski resort worker perceived, surface acting had a positive effect on job burnout, while deep acting had a negative effect on it. Second, surface acting had a positive effect on tangibles and responsiveness of service level and deep acting had a positive effect on tangibles, responsiveness and endeavor of service level. Third, job burnout which ski resort worker perceived had a negative effect on tangibles, responsiveness and endeavor of service level. This study suggested that implications and limitations of the relationship between outcomes and emotional labor which people working at sport organizations such as a ski resort have experienced.

The Effect of Presence Experience of Virtual Reality Sports Class on Pleasure, Flow, and Intention to Participate in Sports Activity (가상현실 스포츠실 수업의 프레즌스 경험이 즐거움, 몰입 및 스포츠 활동 참여의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate how the presence experience of virtual reality sports room class affects the intention to participate in sports activities when pleasure and immersion are experienced. For the survey, a total of 300 people, 60 copies each, were sampled for the upper grades of elementary school, and a total of 276 copies of data were used for the study, excluding 24 copies with insincere answers from among the questionnaires. The data processing used in this study was SPSS ver. 24.0 and AMOS ver. 24.0 Statistical program was used to perform confirmatory factor analysis, frequency analysis, Cronbach's α coefficient calculation, correlation analysis, and structural equation model analysis. Through this procedure, the following results were derived. First, the presence experience of the virtual reality sports room class had a positive effect on enjoyment. Second, the relationship between enjoyment and immersion in virtual reality sports room classes had a positive effect. Third, the enjoyment of the virtual reality sports room class had a positive effect on the intention to participate in sports activities. Fourth, the class immersion of the students who participated in the virtual reality sports room had a positive effect on their intention to participate in future sports activities.

A Study on the Emotional Solidarity of the Club and the Spectators for the Activation of Professional Baseball (프로야구 활성화를 위한 구단과 관중의 정서적 연대에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the moderating effect of emotional bond in the effect of the congruence of self-image and the team's loyalty to professional baseball spectators, to enhance the effectiveness of emotional bond between the club and the spectator, and to suggest implications for establishing the club's brand marketing strategy. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on 500 professional baseball spectators, and the results of correlation analysis, stepwise regression analysis and hierarchical regression analysis using SPSS 21.0 based on 450 collected data are as follows. First, among the professional baseball spectators and the team's self-image, the realistic self-image factor had a significant effect on the club's loyalty. Second, it was confirmed that the congruence of realistic self-image moderated the effect of congruence of realistic self-image on club loyalty. This result shows that the formation of emotional bond has no influence on the congruence of ideal self-image and is related to the realistic self-image that the club is showing at present. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a marketing strategy that can highlight this effect by considering these points.
