The cross correlation function arc applied find the Lag time between the rainfall and runoff at Chuncheon Dam which is located the upstream of the North Han River. In the result, we think that spectrum analysis is better than synthetic unit hydrograph of Synder ar the river basin with the actual data.

The split spectrum processing algorithm of an ultrasonic wave on the tire was studied for the damage detection of a driving vehicle's tire. The processing results of normal and damaged tire was compared using the split spectrum algorithm to estimate the maximum value. The result that used Auto-correlation in case of damaged tire, the damage feature point is detected during 81ms intervals at a speed of 100km/h and during 162ms periodicity at a speed of 50km/h. This results was meaned the possibility for the tire's damage decision by damaging material with using periodicity feature point of tire damage according to vehicle speed.
Recently, many frequency sharing technology including CR (Cognitive Radio) technology have been studied actively because of frequency scarcity. For implementing CR systems, spectrum sensing technology plays key role. In IEEE 802.22 WRAN, the first standard aimed at Internet service in a TV channel with CR technology. This paper explained the various spectrum sensing schemes detecting narrowband ATSC signal in the IEEE 802.22 such as Energy detector, Spectral Correlation Sensing scheme, Covariance based Sensing algorithm and analyzed in terms of the probability of misdetection when the probability of false alarm is 10%. Based on simulation results, this paper proposed a duplex sensing scheme based on Energy detector and analyzed the capability of the proposed sensing scheme comparing with each sensing scheme.
In the present study, the correlation between subjective assessment and EEG for essential odors were investigated quantitatively. EEG signals were measured from 19 electrodes according to the International 10-20 system (Fp1, Fp2, F3/4, F7/8, Fz, C3/4, Cz, P3/4, Pz, T3/4, T5/6, O1/2) from 8 healthy males subjects for four odor(Rose oil bulgarian, Lemon oil misitano, jasmin abs, Laverder oil france (KIMEX co. Ltd) conditions. The result of the subjective assessment shows the most pleasant odor for each subject. and the power spectrum of ${\alpha}/({\alpha}+{\beta})$ of EEG signals from the most pleasant odor was compared with those from the control condition, which has no odor at all. Power spectrum of ${\alpha}/({\alpha}+{\beta})$ of EEG from the most pleasant odor was increased significantly at T4, T6 compared to the control condition. This result implies that the parameter, power spectrum of ${\alpha}/({\alpha}+{\beta})$, could be an important index for signifying the levels of pleasantness for odors.
This study was conducted to evaluate the internal quality of Korean red ginseng using VIS/NIR transmittance spectra. To classify the internal qualities, partial least squares(PLS) regression was conducted. The main results are as follows: To develop the PLS model, several wave bands were divided and incorporated into the model. Among the bands, the wavelength range of 550-1,020nm, excluded noise signal, showed the best evaluation results. Effect of step size on the performance of quality evaluation showed optimal at 15 steps. In order to enhance the accuracy of quality evaluation, the abnormal spectrum shape was considered first and then the PLS model was applied. Among the 150 samples, 12 samples were evaluated by the spectrum shape. In this study, to develop the optimal PLS regression model, among the 150 samples, 138 samples was used with exception of 12 samples which could evaluate the spectrum shape. The result of quality evaluation was promising as SEC and correlation coefficient were 1.09 and 0.967, respectively, and SEP and correlation coefficient were 1.04 and 0.958, respectively.
In this paper, we consider the problem of spectrum sensing for advanced television systems committee (ATSC) digital television (DTV) signal detection. To exploit the cyclostationarity of the ATSC DTV signals, we employ spectral correlation density (SCD) as the decision statistic and propose an optimal detection algorithm. The major difficulty is in obtaining the probability distribution functions of the SCD. To overcome the difficulty, we probabilistically model the pilot frequency location and employ Gaussian approximation for the SCD distribution. Then, we obtain a practically implementable detection algorithm that outperforms the industry leading systems by 2-3 dB. We also propose various techniques that greatly reduce the system complexity with performance degradation by only a few tenths of decibels. Finally, we show how robust the system is to the estimation errors of the noise power spectral density level and the probability distribution of the pilot frequency location.

This paper describes the parameter convergence properties of an adaptive system to identify a single-input single-output plant model. It is demonstrated that, by using power spectrum analysis, the persistency of excitation (PE) condition in order to guarantee the exponential stability of the adaptive control system can be transformed into the positive definite behavior for the auto-correlation function matrix of adaptive signal. The existence of parameter nominal values can be analyzed by this condition and the convergence rates of parameter are determined by examining the auto-correlation function. We may use the sufficient richness (SR) of input spectrum instead of the PE condition to analyze the parameter boundedness. It can be shown that the eigen values of the auto-correlation function are always related with adaptive gain, input amplitude and positions or numbers of input spectra. In each case, the variation of parameter convergence rate can be also verified.
It has been shown that many of physiological systems have nonlinear dynamics. The evidences of these nonlinear behaviors make us analyze physiological systems in the new viewpoint. And, some of these nonlinear dynamics can be represented by chaotic behaviors, which is studied by several methods-correlation dimension, return map, power spectrum analysis, etc. This study is on the analysis of nonlinear characteristics of ECG. After data have been acquired from 20 children (10-13 years old), and 30 students (20-24 years old). We have calculated parameters HR, PR, VAT, TD, TRD, TPD from data, and estimated correlation dimension, return map, power spectrum, time series. Results show the nonlinear and chaotic characteristics of ECG.

Balanced binary sequences of period $2^n-1(n{\geq}1)$ having the two-valued autocorrelation function have many applications in spread-spectrum communications system. In this paper we propose new nonlinear binary sequences which are constructed from Legendre sequences with the same cross-correlation as the sequences proposed by Cho. These sequences include the m-sequences, GMW sequences, Kasami sequences and No sequences which are described in terms of the trace function over a finite field. Also the proposed sequences have more low cross-correlation distribution than the quadratic form sequences proposed by Klapper.

Spreading sequence is used for spreading spectrum in CDMA. For the purpose of minimizing multiple access interference and expanding linear span of the sequences, it is desirable to use such sequences with low correlation and high linear span. To obtain large family size and high linear span, the values of the correlation function of the sequences is more complex. In this paper, we propose the extended Zeng sequences with large family size and high linear span and analyze the correlation of the sequences.
