  • In this paper, firstly we compute the spectral norm of g-circulant matrices $C_{n,g}=g-Circ(c_0,c_1,{\cdots},c{_{n-1}})$, where $c_i{\geq}0$ or $c_i{\leq}0$ (equivalently $c_i{\cdot}c_j{\geq}0$). After, we compute the spectral norms, determinants and inverses of the g-circulant matrices with the Fibonacci and Lucas numbers.

  • We investigate the geometric properties reflected by the spectra of the Jacobi operator of a harmonic map when the target manifold is a Riemannian product manifold or a Kaehlerian product manifold. And also we study the spectral characterization of Riemannian sumersions when the target manifold is $S^n \times S^n$ or $CP^n \times CP^n$.

  • In this paper, a 2-circular matrix theory is developed, and a concept of spectral radius for biorthogonal wavelet is introduced. We propose a novel design method by minimizing the spectral radius and obtain a wavelet which has better performance than the famous 9-7 wavelet in terms of image compression coding.

  • In this paper, we introduce a family resolvent cocycle and express the Chern Character of Dai-Zhang higher spectral flow as a pairing of a family resolvent cocycle and the odd Chern character of a unitary matrix, which generalize the odd index formula of Carey et al. to the family case.

  • In this work, the smoothing and the interpolation basis splines are analyzed. As well as the possibility of using the spectral properties of the basis splines for digital signal processing are shown. This takes into account the fact that basic splines represent finite, piecewise polynomial functions defined on compact media.

  • Using informations of subsets of divergence points and the relation between members of spectral classes, we give another complete decomposition of spectral classes generated by lower(upper) local dimensions of a self-similar measure on a self-similar Cantor set with full information of their dimensions. We note that it is a complete refinement of the earlier complete decomposition of the spectral classes. Further we study the packing dimension of some uncountable union of distribution sets.

  • In this paper, an efficient LP method ofr discrete harmonic spectra is proposed and discussed. A new efficient LP method is a combination of recursive and frequency selective LP. While the recursive LP provides better spectral matching in spectral hills, frequency selective LP eliminates numerical instability and improves spectral matching when the harmonics are confined in the low frequncy region. The proposed LP method is applied to the HILN coder. Simulation results using a verification model(VM) software for real audio signals show a definite trend of significant improvement.

  • The block LU factorization is used to solve the coupled Stokes equations arisen from an optimal control problem subject to Stokes equations. The convergence of the spectral element solution is proved. Some numerical evidences are provided for the model coupled Stokes equations. Moreover, as an application, this algorithm is performed for an optimal control problem.

  • Experimental demonstration of bipolar spectral encoding code-division multiple-access with modified pseudorandom noise codes is presented. Bipolar spectral encoding is achieved with an erbium-doped fiber amplifier amplified spontaneous emission source and arrayed waveguide gratings. The bit-error rate performance of 1.25 Gbps signal transmission over 80 km single mode fiber is measured in a multiple-user environment.

  • Depending on host environments, $Eu^{2+}$ emission can be spectrally tuned by manipulating the energy levels between allowed $4f{\leftrightarrow}5d$ transition. Spectral variations of $Eu^{2+}$ emission from narrow green emission to broad yellow emission band were achieved by varying the host lattices such as Sr- or Ba-silicate, borate, and borosilicate.
