According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), ocean warming and acidification are accelerating as a result of the continuous increase in atmospheric $CO_2$. This may affect the function and structure of marine ecosystems. Recently, changes in marine environments/ecosystems have been observed (increase in SST, decrease in the pH of seawater, northward expansion of subtropical species, etc.) in Korean waters. However, we still don't understand well how climate change affects these changes and what can be expected in the future. In order to answer these questions with regard to Korean waters, the project named 'Assessment of the impact of climate change on marine ecosystems in the South Sea of Korea' has been supported for 5 years by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and is scheduled to end in 2013. This project should provide valuable information on the current status of marine environments/ecosystems in the South Sea of Korea and help establish the methodology and observation/prediction systems to better understand and predict the impact of climate/marine environment changes on the structure and function of marine ecosystems. This special issue contains 5 research and a review articles that highlight the studies carried out during 2012-2013 through this project.

This paper proposes efficient cloth animation and collision handling methods. There have been various techniques for the generation of cloth behavior. However, the cloth animation is still a challenging subject in real-time environments. This paper presents an efficient animation method based on implicit integration. The proposed method can efficiently animate virtual cloth object with complex geometry. In addition, this paper also introduces an efficient collision handling method. The collision resolution is another important issue in cloth animation since deformable objects has special collision problem called self-collision. In this paper, the self-collision was successfully avoided in real - time environments.

To attain the rich and comfortable human living, much development and economic growth are needed. But the radical development destroys natural environments or resources, and also the life environments are destroyed. How to maintain the balance between development and environments forms an important problem. Since 1955, a great deal of damage has been done to human being by the pollution of air, water or noise in Japan, for example, Minamata-byo (1956), arsenical poisoning by mkil (1955), Cd-I taiitai-byo (1955), asthma by air pollution, etc. Now, there are over 100,000 sick persons suffering from pollution in Japan. To prevent the pollution, the first act was made 1967, the kind of which were defined as follow:air, water, soil, noise, vibration ground subsidence, and bad smell. Laws on these were established 1970∼1981, and the environments here ave gradually being improved. The mentioned above gituation necsesitates the measuring or chemical analysis of pollution data, but the many cost is necessary to obtain such data. The special environment measuring certifier was needed and the Measurement Law was amended 1974. Some comment will be given of the present condition of environmental measuring certifier.

이 연구는 도서관 이용자의 주의집중, 관련성, 자신감, 만족감(ARCS) 관점에서 본 4가지 동기 요인을 조사하여 이용자의 전문도서관의 동기적 이용을 탐색하였다. 전문도서관이 공공도서관에 비해 상대적으로 적은 관심을 받고 있지만 전문도서관은 현재 한국의 도서관 환경에서 지역사회의 정보 요구를 위해 공공도서관의 빈틈을 메울 수 있다. 개별인터뷰를 통해 질적 데이터를 모았으며 40명의 참여자가 프로젝트에 참여했다. 본 연구의 결과는 이용자가 전문도서관을 이용하기 시작하려는 방법으로 동기부여가 필요하다는 4가지 요인(ARCS)을 보여주었고 그것들을 통해 도서관에 대한 집중과 재방문을 유도할 수 있다는 것을 보였다. 또한 ARCS모델은 도서관 환경에서 전문도서관과 그 해당 서비스의 구현 적용 및 실행에 기여할 수 있다는 가능성을 보였다. 이 논문은 전문도서관의 동기적 ARCS모델 활용에 대한 지식을 넓히고 전문도서관을 위한 동기부여 전략 및 도서관 시스템 계획을 설계할 때 기초자료로 이용될 것으로 기대한다.

본 연구의 목적은 전문적인 연구를 수행하는데 필요한 전문 주제의 지식 정보를 정확히 파악하고 깊이 있는 자료를 수집, 조직, 축적하여 이를 이용자에게 신속히 제공하는 것을 목적으로 설립된 전문도서관의 평가지표를 개발하는데 있다. 연구방법은 문헌연구, 선행연구 기존 개발된 평가지표 비교, 전문도서관 특성과 환경 분석, 경험적 내용 등을 통하여 설계한 평가지표안에 대하여 전문가와 전문도서관 사서들을 대상으로 중요도 인식조사, 평가지표안의 타당도와 신뢰도 검증. 사서의 사회인구학적 특성별 중요도 차이를 검증하였다. 최종적으로 도서관 경영 인적자원, 정보자원, 재화자원, 시설자원, 정보이용, 정보서비스, 정보공유, 도서관전문성 등 9개 영역에 대하여 70개의 평가지표를 제시하였다.

현재 보험범죄는 해마다 증가하고 있으나 정부차원에서 보험범죄를 적발하거나 방지하기 위한 전문조직은 미비한 실정이다. 이러한 보험범죄로 인한 피해는 인명과 국민경제 측면에서 매우 심각한 실정이다. 보험범죄는 보험회사의 경영수지를 악화시키는 것은 물론이고, 보험금의 부정유출로 인해 보험사의 손해율을 악화시킴으로써 보험사 부실의 원인이 될 수 있다. 이는 결국 보험사의 보험료 인상으로 이어져 결국, 보험가입자의 보험료 인상이라는 문제를 야기시킨다. 이러한 이유로 1996년부터 보험회사들은 보상조직 내에 보험사기를 전문적으로 조사하기 위한 보험범죄특별조사팀(Special Investigation Unit, SIU)을 구성하기 시작하였다. 하지만 현재의 SIU는 보험범죄의 예방을 위한 다양한 업무를 효율적으로 수행하기에는 아직 그 인력과 재원이 부족한 수준이다. 따라서 본 연구는 갈수록 심각한 사회문제로 주목받고 있는 보험범죄를 실제 현장에서 담당하고 있는 SIU 구성원을 대상으로 현재의 근무환경과 보험범죄에 대한 일반적 인식이 그들의 직무만족에 미치는 영향에 대하여 알아보았다. 본 연구는 이러한 현장조사 분석을 바탕으로 현재 SIU 구성원들의 보험범죄 인식 및 근무 환경을 분석하고, 직무만족 향상을 통하여 구축할 수 있는 효과적인 보험범죄 대응 방안을 마련하는 데에 목적이 있다.

TCP has been designed and tuned as a reliable transfer protocol far wired links. However, it incurs end-to-end performance degradation in wireless environments where packet loss is very high. TCP HACK(Header Checksum Option) is a novel mechanism proposed to improve original TCP in lossy link. It presents an extension to TCP that enables TCP to distinguish packet corruption from congestion in losssy environments. TCP HACK performs well when the sender receives the special ACKs correctly, hut if the ACKs are also lost much, the efficient of TCP HACK will net be prominent. In this paper we present an extension to TCP HACK, which can perform well even when the ACKs are much corrupted.

본 논문에서는 LAN환경의 기업이나 학내망 등 제한된 공간에서 특수한 분야에 국한된 무선 LAN의 사용이 점차 보편화되고 그 필요성이 대두됨에 따라, 현재 보급화 되고 있는 2.4GHz 대역 무선 LAN의 전송 방식 및 구조에 대해서 살펴보고, 무선 LAN의 다양한 User 환경에 따른 Packet 신호의 전송특성 및 속도에 관한 영향을 실험을 통하여 비교ㆍ분석하였다.

A 33-km long sea dyke is being constructed in the Saemangeum area mid-west of Korea to reclaim a surface area of 40,100 ha which includes well-developed tidal flat and two river estuaries. The northern part of the dyke was closed on 10 June 2003, while the southern part was recently closed on 21 April 2006 by plugging two opening gaps of 2.7 km in length. In this study, firstly we review the outlines of key national projects which described marine environments in the Saemangeum area and secondly we present a summary of remarkable changes in marine environments after the closure of the northern dyke, based on marine environmental data collected during 2002-2005. Details in each discipline of the marine environments are presented both in other papers of this special volume and in a series of annual reports of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and fisheries.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify differences in physical working environments, psychosocial working environments, and health outcomes according to the employment type of delivery workers. Methods: This study was a secondary analysis of data collected from the Fifth Korean Working Conditions Survey (KWCS). Participants were 84 Korean delivery workers. Data were analyzed using the SAS 9.4 Version, χ² test and Fisher's exact test. Results: Statistically significant differences were found according to the employment type of delivery workers (special types, wage) including "noise", "vibrations", "repetitive movements", "supervisor support", "colleague support", "manuals on emotional expression", "existence of trade union, works council or similar body". Conclusion: This study suggests the necessity of improving the working environment and health outcomes of delivery workers belonging to special employment types. In developing these, the laws and systems must be reorganized to enable the recognition of delivery workers as wage workers. In addition, delivery companies should be held responsible for managing delivery workers.
