In this study, in order to foster human resources equipped with expertise in libraries and spatial organization that contributes to the development of libraries, planning, design, and construction, the self-designed library space planning major was developed and the education goal, human resources award, and major capabilities were presented. To this end, the relevant literature analysis, expert opinion collection, and consumer survey were conducted, and the results are as follows. First, the person-in-person awards required for library space planning were identified as space planning personnel, design thinking personnel, and creative working people. Second, the person-specific majors were derived with the ability to analyze the library environment, ability to express spatial concepts, ability to analyze user needs, ability to coordinate interests, ability to understand spatial design, ability to understand spatial design, and ability to apply practical applications. Based on the plan, subjects should be developed that can fulfill the educational goals of the future library space planning major, human resources award, and human resources status, and operation plans should be designed so that the library space planning major can adapt students without fail due to its own design-based major.

Contemporary society that is apt to be homogeneity because of the development of computer communication and mass-media desires to seek its own identity in native realm. Contemporary Korean architecture has endeavored continuous discussion and practice to keep its identity within the current tendency. The purpose of this study is to grope the alternative for genuine 'Koreaness' to analyse the variant trend of its characteristics 1990's. The variation of Korean society in 1990's that emphasize self-regulation and individual value has influence on the realm of architecture so much. The cognition of 'Koreaness' has changed with center in the individual and small -size design group, not present accommodation of past, but continuous research to find archetype of tradition which can play a decisive role of linking present and future on the foundation of past. Many attempts and practical works that express 'Koreaness' in 1990's are performed in the area of residence works that reflect Korean emotion and life-style directly. This change can be an answer to solve the problem of peculiarity and universality in 'Koreaness'. After 1960's the main theme of 'Koreaness' was traditional architecture form, but because of the induction of Postmodernism and at once its reflection and critical attitude with limit of formal duplication, which lost its meaning. In 1990's, research for spatial form as korean emotion and image has carried out and played an important part of original expression for 'Koreaness'

The uterus undergoes dynamic changes during the cycle and displays many features typical of developmental process. In order to be prepared for implantation, endometrium undergoes predictable, sequential phases of proliferation and secretory changes. The uterus during estrus cycle synthesize a complex of signaling molecules with specific spatial and temporal modes of expression and which are critical for cell proliferation and differentiation. The purpose of this investigation was to use cDNA microarrays to evaluate the expression of genes of rat uterus in estrus cycle. Animals were sacrificed on proestrus, estrus, metestrus, diestrus. Differential gene expression profiles were revealed(growth-related c-myc reponsive protein RCL, heat shock 47-kDa protein (HSP47), cytochrome c oxidase polypeptide Vlc2 (COX6C2), calreticulin (CALR)). Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to validate the relative expression pattern. Using this approach, we found several genes whose expression in rat uterus was altered with estrus cycle. Our long-term goal is to determine the role of these differentially expressed genes during estrus cycle. In recent engineering, the designer has become more and more dependent on computer simulation. But defining exact model using computer simulation is too expensive and time consuming in the complicate systems. Thus, designers often use approximation models, which express the relation between design variables and response variables. These models are called metamodel. In this paper, we introduce one of the metamodel, named Kriging. This model employs an interpolation scheme and is developed in the fields of spatial statistics and geostatistics. This class of interpolating model has flexibility to model response data with multiple local extreme. By reason of this multi modality, we can't use any gradient-based optimization algorithm to find global extreme value of this model. Thus we have to introduce global optimization algorithm. To do this, we introduce DE(Differential Evolution). DE algorithm is developed by Ken Price and Rainer Storn, and it has recently proven to be an efficient method for optimizing real-valued multi-modal objective functions. This algorithm is similar to GA(Genetic Algorithm) in populating points, crossing over, and mutating. But it introduces vector concept in populating process. So it is very simple and easy to use. Finally, we show how we determine Kriging metamodel and find global extreme value through two mathematical examples.

As the importance and utilization of multimedia data increase, we need to study representing and processing multimedia data within databases. To process multimedia data within databases, we need to precisely model multimedia data, to define data types and operations, and to make up query language supporting them. Therefore, in this paper, we modeled multimedia data using OMT so that we can support multimedia data within databases. We also propose an extended SQL, called MMSQl, which includes new types for supporting multimedia data types and efficiently make a query. Especially, MMSQL provides a mechanism to express temporal and spatial relationships which exist among objects in a multimedia data (internal) or among several multimedia data (external).

This study aims to understand the ornamental space in Art-Nouveau style which was made up the ornamental aspect and spatial aspect. So that It is needed to classify the ornamental space into three categories according to the way of construction; pictorial composition, non-objective composition and organic construction. To find the meaning of these ornamental spaces, works of Art-Nouveau are analyzed into ornament and space, in result we know that process of integration, relativity of ornament as a part and forms of expression in ornamental space have some regulation; use of natural motive, repetition of image and organic combination. Whereas the ornamental space in Art-Nouveau style has comprehensive capacity between antagonistic relations just like tradition and new mechanism, the space could receive a lot of different ideas and express these ideas as ornaments. Although the ornamental space also had weak points which were the lack of transformation and the difficulties of the application of other design due to the perfection itself, we could create new space which meets the requirements of the times, if we develop and make up for the weak points in the ornamental space under the principles of dialectic.

In this paper, a new DCT-VQ method is proposed which can solve the problems of VQ such as the degradation of edge and enormous calculations. VQ is carried in DCT domain but spatial domain in order to protect the degradation of edge. DCT makes high correlated image data decorrelated and the energy concentrated on a few coefficients. In DCT domain, the DC coefficient is quantized with 8 bits uniform scalar quantizer and the AC coefficients are divided to three regions and coded with vector qiantizer for considering edge components. For the decrease of the calculation and memory, the vectors for three region have small dimension of $1{\times}7$ and use the same codebook. Thus, the proposed method can fully express the edge components by considering AC coefficients in DCT domain and decrease the calculation and memory be reducing the dimension of vectors.

The purpose of this study is to reviews the Chinesm expressed in the modern fashion world after the year 2000, and underlines the characteristics of Chinesm, as the Chinese fashion market is getting bigger and becomes the cynosure of the world. The method of this study is by research on precedence as well as related researches in Korean and foreign books. The results were as follows. First, the Chinesm recreates the historic motive which is the traditional costume, ornaments, or make-up etc. to maintain the harmony between the modernity and the past, preventing from following or mimicking. Second, the Chinesm expresses the combinational and harmonious manner with the combined image on the Chinese original symbolic factors mixing with the foreign spatial-temporal elements, the various styles of wear and decoration, and the different images to have the natural or equivocal relationship with one another. Third, The Chinesm magnifies the feminine atmosphere to express the sensual image by using effectively the traditional design factors, which is tight silhouette, coverture, and exposure. Fourth, the Chinesm professes the pro-naturalism embracing the human without conflicting with the human nature. It seems possible on the new value mixed with colors, materials, or patterns, etc.

Luis Barragan's Architecture has creative feature that Mexican environment and traditional culture were complete by color. Thus the color of his work makes our emotions rich and colorful. He said "My architecture is autobiographical..." at speech in Pritz price. As we can see in his architectural philosophy that sentimental architecture is important than theorical system, his works are impression of empirical factor with intuition. "Color is a complement to the architecture. It serve to enlarge or reduce a space. It's also useful for adding that touch of magic a place needs", stated Barragan. During his process of shaping space, Barragan drew on color in the same way as an architectural component, according it a spatial funtion and expressive vale. he allied it with light, deeming it a crucial vehical for conveying the emotive attributes a site. The capacity of color to express sensitivity and sensuality within an architecture space is liked to its psycho-physiological qualities. In this kind of view, color featyre in Barragan's work is one of the most important tools to realize sentimental architecture, not only is result of the Mexican regional color. As a result, make focus on analyzing various meaning of the color in Barragan's architecture like poetic and habitable structure.

일반적으로 스키마 통합이란 각 응용들의 관점에 따라 다르게 표현된 스키마들을 하나의 스키마로 통합하는 것을 말한다. GIS 데이타베이스는 일반 데이타베이스와는 달리 개체에 대한 속성 정보 뿐만 아니라 기하 등과 같은 공간 정보를 가지고 있다. 특히, GIS 응용에서 정의된 개체들의 공간 표현은 관점에 따라 다양한 기하 서브스키마들로 표현된다. 따라서 GIS 데이타베이스를 위한 스키마 통합에서 서로 다른 기하 서브스키마들을 통합하는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 GIS 데이타베이스의 스키마통합을 위해서 기하 서브스키마들의 통합 문제를 중점적으로 다룬다 먼저 기하 서브스키마들의 통합에서 발생하는 충돌들을 개체의 기하를 중심으로 동일 개체간의 기하 충돌과 다른 개체간의 기하 충돌로 분류하여 정의한다. 그리고 이 충돌들을 해결하기 위한 충돌 해결 방법으로 각 충돌들의 특성을 고려하여 상위 레벨의 기하 서브스키마 선택, 기하의 다중 표현, 구성 요소의 공유, 개체들 간의 상세화 등을 제시한다. 또한, 통합된 스키마에 대하여 가상 스키마를 표현하는 방법을 제시하여, 통합되기 전의 스키마들을 통합된 스키마로부터 유도될 수 있음을 보인다. 본 논문에서는 GIS 데이타베이스 스키마를 기술하기 위하여 ISO/TC211의 개념적 스키마 언어인 EXPRESS-G를 이용한다.
