  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the use of modular construction method in order to promote the dissemination of the Health Life Support Center of the government, and to suggest the modular unitification and modularization plan for the necessary space data in the initial stage. By analyzing the floor plans of the 50 case projects currently in operation, the 28 required spaces and their spatial proximities are determined. Base on spatial proximities, each space is unitificated into a modular unit and modularized into a modular modules were integrated to modular proposals. As a result of this study, 13 unitificated modular unit floor planes and 3 modularized module floor planes including the staircase unit were proposed. However, future study have needed to study how to apply them to different actual sites and how to reduce cost.

초등학교(初等學敎) 필로티공간(空間)의 유형(類型) 및 면적별(面積別) 이용(利用)특성에 관한 연구(硏究) - 대전·청주지역 초등학교를 중심으로 - (A study on the usage of Pilotis related to the Types and Area in Elementary School - Focused on Elementary Schools in Daejeon and Chungju -)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the use of Pilotis space in the elementary school and its problems and to explore some improvement scheme. The subjects of this research include the elementary schools in Deajeon, Chungju city which have been established since 1990 when the pilotis first introduced. It would be the effect of the decrease of site area and the increase of total floor area of elementary school. In this situation, this study aimed to figure out the characteristics of pilotis according to their types- Entrance type, Courtyard link type, Hybrid type- throughout the questionnaire, interview, and document analysis. The investigative situation was performed by employing a sample survey of 9 schools whose types were different from each other. The sample survey compared and evaluated scale, location, functions of Pilotis, the physical elements of types, connections with surrounding circumstances and the use under each condition. This study found that the use of pilotis at the elementary schools was inclined to the user, the teachers usually use pilotis only for passage, while the students use it in many ways according to the individual property. Pilotis space represent the differences in satisfaction and utility according to its type. To improve the relationship of users at the pilotis space, Courtyard link type is to be suggested and also it needs enough area as possible. In this way the pilotis type of elementary school gives great effect to the quality and function for better usage of this space.

수치해석과 현장계측을 통한 병렬터널의 최소 필라폭과 보강에 대한 평가 (Assessment of minimum pillar width and reinforcement of parallel tunnel using numerical analysis and field monitoring)

  • 국가적으로 국토의 효율적 활용과 친환경성 등으로 인해 터널과 같은 지하공간 건설이 필요하다. 친환경적 요소의 중요성을 감안할 때, 산악지에 형성되는 도로건설에 대해 2-아치 및 대단면 터널로 계획되나 경제성, 시공성, 공사기간, 유지관리 등의 문제점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 2차로의 국도터널을 기준으로 현장조건과 지반조건을 고려하여 터널별 이격거리와 토피고를 변화시켜 경험식과 수치해석적으로 필라부의 안전성을 평가하였으며, 해석 프로그램으로 유한요소법을 적용한 Plaxis 2D를 활용하여 터널의 최소 필라폭 선정과 전체적인 터널의 거동특성을 분석하였다. 분석결과, Tie-Bolt에 의한 필라보강은 연직하중을 분산시켜 안전적인 근접병렬터널 계획이 가능하며, 터널 필라의 거동은 현장계측 결과와 잘 일치하는 것으로 나타났으며, 지반조건에 따라 터널 필라폭을 축소시킨다면 이전의 터널에 비해 효율적인 터널 활용이 가능하다.

Geometrically nonlinear elastic analysis of space trusses

  • A general framework for the nonlinear geometric analysis of elastic space trusses is presented. Both total Lagrangian and finite incremental formulations are derived from the three key ingredients of statics, kinematics and constitutive law. Particular features of the general methodology include the preservation of static-kinematic duality through the concept of fictitious forces and deformations, and an exact description for arbitrarily large displacements, albeit small strain, that can be specialized to any order of geometrical nonlinearity. As for the numerical algorithm, we consider specifically the finite incremental case and suggest the use of a conventional, simple and flexible arc-length based method. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate and validate the accuracy of the approach.

  • This paper deals with dynamic analysis method of a slotless type permanent magnet linear synchronous motor(PMLSM) using 3-dimensional space harmonic method. The results are good agreement with FEA results because that slotless type PMLSM has simple structure and no saturation of core. And then, Under open-loop control, starting characteristic is analyzed by voltage equation combining with dynamic equation. In order to obtain more accuracy results, this paper use instantaneous back-EMF and thrust instead of back-EMF constant and thrust constant.

독립적인 이중 출력을 갖는 DC-DC 컨버터의 해석 및 설계 (Analysis and Design of DC-DC Converter with Independent Dual Outputs)

  • The proposed dual-output DC-DC converter that bases on flyback converter can obtain two output voltage with non-isolated main-output and isolated sub-output at the same time using single-winding high frequency transformer. It can solve problems in multi-winding converter that use one main-switch, and also control quality of isolated sub-output voltage can be improved by additional sub-switch to the second. For analysis and design of the proposed converter system, converters are classified as operation mode from switching state and are become modeling by applying state space averaging method. Steady-state characteristics and dynamic characteristics are analyzed by DC component and perturbation component from state space averaging model. From experiment converter, validity of analysis and design for the propose converter system is confirm.

BIM을 이용한 전통 한옥의 공간구문 분석을 위한 공간분할기법 개발 (Development of a Spatial Subdivision Technique using BIM for Space Syntax Analysis of a Korean Traditional House)

  • To effectively use Building Information Modelling (BIM) dealing with semantic information including the entities of building components, the information about building components should be standardized. Like standardized modern buildings. in the past, Korean traditional houses were built according to strict procedures and formats. Therefore, if the Korean traditional house are modelled by using BIM,. not only the Korean traditional house of good quality will be built quickly and cheaply, but also spaces in the existing Korean traditional house will be easily analyzed. However, when analyzing spaces of the Korean traditional house using Space Syntax, some problems are caused in dividing outdoor space such as yard with unclear boundaries, unlike indoor space with clear boundaries surrounded by walls. These comes from the fact that researchers have subjectively divided a space in the house into convex spaces as units for Space Syntax analysis. Therefore, this study aims to develop an objective and rational spatial subdivision technique for Space Syntax analysis of a Korean traditional house modelled by using BIM. We could objectively and reasonably divide a Korean traditional house space into convex spaces by recognizing the building components in the house modelled in the form of Industry Foundation Classes(IFC). Depending on the connection of convex spaces allocated in the spatial subdivision technique, j-graph in Space Syntax could be drawn and the measurements of spatial configurations could be determinded. Through the developed technique, the social properties including the cultural and philosophical aspects of Korean people was identified by measuring the spatial configurations of Korean traditional house. The developed technique will serve as useful means to help architects to find an appropriate purpose of each space for sustainable architecture on the basis of the spatial and social relationships in buildings or urban systems.

3차원 모델링을 이용한 디지털 디자인의 활용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Utilization of Digital Design by Three Dimensional Modeling)

  • 공간과 형태 디자인에 있어서 스터디모델은 완성될 공간이나 형태가 디자인되는 공간과 형태에 구체적인 시각적 매개체를 제공하며, 보다 근본적으로 디자인도면에 대한 상호 보완적 수단으로서 이용된다. 즉 스터디모델은 2차원적인 속성을 지니는 디자인 도면에 3차원적인 이해 수단을 추가적으로 부여한다. 따라서 디자인이 진행되는 동안 구체적인 공간의 형태와 공간구성을 디지털스터디모델을 이용하여 자유로운 각도에서 시각적으로 감지하며 공간과 형태를 분석하게 해준다. 일반적으로 유형적인 재료를 사용하여 제작되는 스터디모델은 디자인 과정에서 디자인 내용의 변경과 스터디모델의 용도에 따라서 여러 번 제작되어야 하며, 디자인도면과 모델의 관계는 공간의 지각과 이해를 통해서만 이루어진다. 이것은 디자인도면과 스터디모델 매체사이의 상호보완성이 동시에 이루어지지 않기 때문이다. 그러나 본 연구에서 제안된 3차원 디지털 디자인 프로세스를 이용하면, 즉각적인 시각적 표현과 더불어 디자인 단계에서 다양한 분석과 디지털 디자인모델 결과물들을 얻어낼 수 있게 된다. 결국 디자인계획과 디자인 구체화 단계에서 디지털디자인 프로세스를 활용할 경우 입체적 표현을 실시간으로 적용할 수 있으며, 3차원 디지털모델을 시각화하여 최종 디자인을 위한 공간과 형태의 다양한 분석이 가능하게 된다.

조경설계에 나타난 공간의 특성 -시청 앞 광장 현상공모 입상작을 중심으로- (Spatial Characteristics Shown in Landscape Design -Focusing on Five Winning Design Proposals for the Seoul City Hall Plaza Design Competition)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate how five winning design proposals for the Seoul City Hall Plaza Design Competition have shown the spatial characteristics by comparing and reviewing them. Each design proposal shown different approaches that reveal the spatial characteristics. Through scrutinizing these design proposals, some similar and different aspects among them were identified. In order to examine these aspects, the winning design proposals were analysed and compared based on five categories such as design concepts, main facilities, representation of historical images, spatial connection, and event programs. Gilles Deleuze explained the spatial characteristics as striated space and smooth space. Striated space could be defined as sedentary space. It is distant vision-optical space that has dimensional, metric, and centered characteristics, whereas smooth space is defined as nomadic, close vision-haptic space that has directional and acentered characteristics. This study focused on the analysis of spatial characteristics according to smooth space and striated space. Based on the analysis of the spatial characteristics according to the smooth and striated space, some design proposals shown more characteristics of striated space while other proposals shown more characteristics of smooth space. Those design proposals that shown more characteristics of smooth space reveal flexible or changeable shape and void space, whereas the others that shown more characteristics of striated space try to suggest apparent guidelines for the future use by retaining the idea of a plaza through the concrete shape. This study, which analyzed the winning design proposals based on the spatial characteristics according to the smooth and striated space, can be used to analyze the designs and could help to develop a new methodology with a different perspective. furthermore, it could provide practical and creative design strategies for landscape design.

공공도서관 디지털자료실의 공간계획요소별 디자인특성 연구 (A Study on the Design Characteristics of Multimedia Center in Public Library by Space Planning Elements)

  • A public library is changing into a place where people can freely acquire and make use of information in digital environment with the basic ideology of publicity. In spite of such changes, multimedia center is still biased with the function of computer room to use PC and is not used actively by many users. This study can be summarized and concluded as follows and spatial characteristics of digital data room of public library can make use of space planning elements by aspects as an analysis tool. First, designed characteristics focusing too much on the possession of seats for reading digital data. Therefore, spatial planning for users to choose necessary facilities according to the data they wish to read and type of users is needed. Second, interior tone of multimedia center is applied with identical color for all floors, walls, and ceilings, to create sense of unification. However, due to the arrangement of similar colors, while using identical brightness and chroma, some users felt difficult to realize shape or depth in space. It is more appropriate to apply distinctive color plan according to the characteristic of the data or space region, in order to create pleasant digital environment for visually weaker people or elderly. Third, psychological or technical factors of multimedia center is not sufficiently applied in space planning elements for users. In order for various digital service of public library to be technically implemented, it is necessary to organize open space by expanding the size of multimedia center to utilize high-tech facilities.
