  • Today, in space design boundaries between spaces have become obscure and space images are changed and overlap each other. Moreover, with the digital technology creating more informational spaces with various interactions, the set up of intelligent space has been made possible in reality. As if to deny the law of physical limitation, interfaces are used as main concept in structuring and expressing the spaces. It appears once again when each section is an expressional factor of interfaces and when meanings are produced through the systemization. Here this study analyzes the hybrid action that appear in contemporary space design. At the very moment, interface emerged as an important concept, defining contemporary space design in a very different way and present interface as a new possibility in space.

  • The space world under zero gravity and super vacuum where the space machine works has only friction and inertia. Inertia of acceleration and diceleration is accurately obtained by computing while friction is always in contact surface and unsteady. The sur soundings under super vacuum make surface friction more complicate. [1,2]. Therefore, method to lubricate stably the contact surface for long term in space machine is very important and friction for space machine proves to be true by several accident of space projects. In spite of that accident, method of lubrication and lubricants to keep stablity for long term in space machine have not been established so far. Lubrication for space machine is very important and under developings over the world. In this study we suggest a new lubricating technology, which improves powerful for space machine.

  • According to the passage of an age, a method which communicates each other between the city and space, and space and a human has changed. Recently, as the city is developing related with the public, the sphere and a territory of activity of a public has been wider in an environment of the city. Therefore, development of night scenery and the rise of a medium of a vision are accompanied with a new material and the high-technology. Innovation of abundant techniques tends to being surface and mass media, and breaks from the architectural aspect of space as mutual expansion of relations between interior and exterior, and making a boundary obscurely. Space design represents peculiarity of non-territorial which modern art, an advertisement, a media and a reflection are integrated as getting over above tendency. As we find out methods which the public can communicate with the space in wider territory, the public and the space can extend mutual relations and the design of modern space is been varying a part as the space which has a context of city and synthetic sociality for the public by avoiding independent objects.

  • The constant evolution of society, culture and scientific technology, coupled with changes in life style and behavioral patterns, has led mankind to peroeive diverse needs for space. Particularly, the rapid structural change in the field of marketing has entailed changes in techinques for construction and presentation of space for an improved marketing environment. To satisfy such new, diverse needs for space, interior designers will have to redefine the "mankind and environmen( concept and examine their design methodology anew. The question of how to design available space for a certain purpose will remain a daunting task for designers in the future, as it has been in the past. In the pursuit of convenience and conformity to mankind's surroundings, every nation has, in common with other nations, basic design elements, design skills and other factors. In designing camercial space in a particular region, it is essential, however, to have a proper understanding of the social economic and cultural context indigenous to that region, as well as the impact on environmental and ecological change and marketing strategy. This study discusses design metholdology for the comming camercial space on the basis of the space concept and current status in Korea, with major emphasis on Korea's regional characteristics.

  • As ubiquitous technology(uT) is offered in the future space, human will find their life more convenient and prosperous, and the space efficiency will be improved with virtual displays within a limited space. In an living space with ubiquitous environments, all information of family members will be an essential source creating advanced future spaces both for users and for those maintaining the space. In recent studies of uT environment, development of scenario is mostly being carried out based on user and service. It is unsatisfactory, however, when it comes to the study of how these studies can be developed on the basis of architectural space. In this paper, we study about applying scenarios created through space analysis to suggest ways to predict the analysis of the relationship between digital devices/services and the building elements based on physical space with uT and to offer services smoothly to uT environment, intelligent devices and their users.

A Study on the Space Usages of Academic Libraries (대학도서관의 공간사용 실태에 관한 연구)

  • Korean academic libraries are facing serious space shortage problems due to an inability to accommodate for the rapidly increasing number of printed materials. Despite the current situation, Korean academic libraries have largely focused on impractical applications of the new library paradigm, using technology or management programs to improve the quality of research and learning environments of the university. However, such improvements would be fruitless without first resolving the space shortage crisis. In order to make realistic improvements to the quality of academic libraries, this study used questionnaires to employ the opinions of librarians currently practicing at such Korean libraries. Survey questionnaires about types and causes of space shortage problems, library facility expansion plans, expected effects of expansion, frequency of and reasons for furniture relocation, and tight spaces needing improvement were distributed to selected 4-year college librarians through Google Drive. Analysis of survey responses indicated that library space shortage was largely responsible for the hindrance of research and learning environments. Furthermore, it reflected the urgency to secure book storage space.

  • This paper aims to study the 𝒲-curvature tensor on relativistic space-times. The energy-momentum tensor T of a space-time having a semi-symmetric 𝒲-curvature tensor is semi-symmetric, whereas the whereas the energy-momentum tensor T of a space-time having a divergence free 𝒲-curvature tensor is of Codazzi type. A space-time having a traceless 𝒲-curvature tensor is Einstein. A 𝒲-curvature flat space-time is Einstein. Perfect fluid space-times which admits 𝒲-curvature tensor are considered.

  • When Korea develop a geostationary satellite (Communication. Broadcasting. Meteorology Satellite), it is more economical and effective to make as an international cooperation program from the first phase, because Korea doesn't have any experience of manufacturing a geostationary satellite. This paper discusses why Japan is appropriate for cooperating country, and suggests cooperation of space technology between Korea and Japan and setting up of the organization for Korea and Japan joint geostationary satellite development.
