  • A characterization of geodesic spheres in the simply connected space forms in terms of the ratio of the Gauss-Kronecker curvature and the (usual) mean curvature is given: An immersion of n dimensional compact oriented manifold without boundary into the n + 1 dimensional Euclidean space, hyperbolic space or open half sphere is a totally umbilicimmersion if the mean curvature $H_1$ does not vanish and the ratio $H_n$/$H_1$ of the Gauss-Kronecker curvature $H_n$ and $H_1$ is constant.

  • The probability of visual perception occurrence varies in case the expectation of using each unit space of which the whole space consists because the size of space subject to analysis is very large or the organization is complicated in the analysis of spatial visual configuration. Therefore, it is necessary to compensate space analysis and index measurement by applying weight to the point of view for the probability of experiencing space. This study proposed a method of analyzing visibility ratio by applying the integration of space syntax theory as weight, and grasped the effect in comparison with the visibility ratio when weight was not applied.

종합병원의 G/N비 산정에 관한 건축계획적 연구 (A Study on the Architectural Planning for Measurement of Gross-to-Net Ratio in General Hospital)

  • Gross-to-net ratio is the important factor determining size of the building. However it was determined as the empirical method without the exact basis in the existing planning. This paper proposes more accurate methods for determining the gross-to-net ratio of architectural planning in general hospital. This paper analyzes the difference of gross-to-net ratio according to the various conditions and presents the elements of influencing on gross-to-net ratio. These elements is evaluated by applying in the typical hospital case. In conclusion, gross-to-net ratio is influenced by the accuracy of the space program, form type of the space and correspondence potential about the internal variation. In addition, This study has proved that empirical approach is a standard of minimum area.

Effect of Mixture Ratio Variation near Chamber Wall in Liquid Rocket Engine

  • An experimental research program is being undertaken to develop a regeneratively-cooled experimental thrust chamber of liquid rocket engine using liquefied natural gas and liquid oxygen as propellants. Prior to firing test using a regenerative cooling with liquefied natural gas in this program, several firing tests were conducted with water as a coolant. Experimental thrust chambers with a thrust of about 10tf were developed and their firing test facility was built up. Injector used in the thrust chamber was of shear-coaxial type appropriate for propellants of gas and liquid phase and cooling channels are of milled rectangular configuration. Periodical variation of the soot deposition and discoloration was observed through an eyes' inspection on the inner wall of a combustion chamber and a nozzle after each firing test, and an intuitive concept of the periodical variation of mixture ratio near the inner wall of a combustion chamber and a nozzle at once was brought about and analyzed quantitatively. Thermal heat flux to the coolant was calculated and modified with the periodical variation model of mixture ratio, and the increment of coolant temperature at cooling channels was compared with measured one.

주기적인 압력구배를 받는 덕트에서의 유동 및 열전달특성에 관한 연구 (A study on Flow and Heat Transfer Characteristics in a Duct with Periodic Pressure Gradient)

  • Characteristics of flow and heat transfer have been studied numerically in a square duct with a periodic pressure gradient. The flow in a duct was assumed to be fully developed and constant heat flux was imposed at the surfaces of a square duct. The distributions of axial velocity and time-space averaged temperature are investigated with angular velocity and amplitude ratio at a given Reynolds number 1000. When the periodic pressure gradient was imposed axially in a duct, the reverse flow may be occurred near the duct wall. The magnitude of this reverse flow increases as the amplitude ratio increases or as the angular frequency decreases. In the ranges of the amplitude ratio and the angular velocity in present investigation, the ratio of the periodic time space averaged temperature to the nonperiodic space averaged temperature has been found to be greater than one. This means that the cooling effect at the duct walls deteriorates with a periodic situation compared with nonperiodic one.

공간관리 현황조사를 통한 대학시설관리방안에 관한 연구 - 국립대학의 사례를 중심으로 (A Study on the Facility Management Method through Actual Condition of Space Management - Based on the National University)

  • To enhance the administrational efficiency and for university facility and space management to be public, this research suggests a competent and an objective evaluation system and index. The study will assist national and university finances to contribute towards advanced education. Furthermore, figure out the space management condition of national university by utilizing the evaluation system, and through that suggesting efficient special management method. According to the result of this study, evaluation system for university facility can be widely divided into seven categories; system preparation, members conference, propriety of space allocation, propriety of management system, space use ratio, time control of space use, imposition index of surplus use. Based on these subdivisions, the space management category contains 19 evaluation items and the marking system allows perfect score of 100 points. In result of examining space management condition using the evaluation system, space management was well enforced in research focused university group where as in education centered university group, it shows relatively low enforcement. It also illustrated that efforts of evaluation items were required in categories of imposition index of surplus use and special use ratio in order for efficient space management.

돔형 스페이스 프레임 구조물의 하중모드에 따른 분기점 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Critical Point and Bifurcation According to Load Mode of Dome-Typed Space Frame Structures)

  • 스페이스 프레임 구조물은 연속체 쉘 구조물의 원리를 이용하여 매우 넓은 공간을 효과적 으로 덮을 수 있는 구조물이지만 뜀좌굴 및 분기좌굴 등과 같은 불안정거동은 돔형 구조물에서는 더욱 복잡하게 나타난다. 또한 붕괴메커니즘의 이론적 연구와 실험적 연구결과들 사이에서도 많은 차이를 보인다. 본 논문에서는 미적 효과가 크며 단층의 대공간을 확보하기에 적합한 돔형 공간 구조물의 구조 불안정 특성을 접선강성방정식을 이용하여 비선형 증분해석을 수행하고, Rise-span(${\mu}$)비 및 하중모드($R_L$)에 따른 임계점과 분기점의 특성을 돔형 공간구조물의 예제를 통해 고찰하였다. 여기서 불안정점은 증분해석과정을 통해서 예측할 수 있었으며, 예제에서 낮은 ${\mu}$에서는 전체좌굴이, 높은 ${\mu}$의 경우는 절점좌굴이 지배적이며, 낮은 $R_L$에서 정점좌굴이, 높은 $R_L$에서는 전체좌굴이 지배적이고, 전체좌굴이 나타나는 경우, 분기좌굴하중은 완전형상의 극한점좌굴하중의 약 50%에서 70%의 분포를 보였다.

주거복지지표 개발에 관한 연구 I - 객관적 측면의 주거복지 지표를 중심으로 - (A Study on Development of the Objective Indicators of Housing Welfare)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the housing welfare indicators for evaluating housing welfare policies conducted by the Korean government. The contents of this research were as follows: as a phrase of setting up the development of housing welfare indicators, the scope of housing welfare and the direction of developing housing welfare indicators were settled. Second, as a phrase of drawing the housing welfare indicators, the indicators were categorized and selected. Third, as a phrase of applying the housing welfare indicators, the indicators in this research were quantified, and suggest the housing welfare from 2000 to 2005. As a result of this research, selected housing welfare indicators were settled as follows: the housing welfare indicators comprise 9 in the department of 'House', 4 in the department of 'Community', and 6 in the department of 'Policy Environment' (19 in total). Indicators were (1) Ratio of housing with Flush Toilets (2) Ratio of housing with Kitchen Sink (3) Ratio of housing with Bath facilities (4) Ratio of housing provided water supply (5) Ratio of housing supplied a sewage system (6) Floor Space per person (7) Number of persons per Room (8) PIR (9) RIR (10) Community Facilities Space per person (11) Urban Park Space per person (12) Journey to work (13) Crime Ratio (14) Number of Houses per 1,000 persons (15) Ratio of Substandard housing of the Minimum Housing Standard (16) Ratio of Irregular Dwelling Households (17) Ratio of Owner Occupant (18) Ratio of compulsory immigration (19) Ratio of Long-term Public Social Houses. The housing welfare indicators developed in this research will be used for the comprehensive assessment of the results of housing welfare policies and the establishment of housing policies as a basic material in the future.

삼축압축시험에 의한 모래-점토 복합시료의 전단거동 특성 (Characteristics of Shear Behavior for Sand-Clay Composite by Triaxial Test)

  • 모래-점토 복합시료의 제반 전단특성을 규명하기 위하여 연약지반에 설치한 배수재로서의 모래기둥의 직경(dw)과 배수영향원의 직경(de)비 즉, 배수간격비(n=de/dw), 모래기둥의 밀도 및 모래기둥과 주변 연약토의 강성을 달리한 공시체를 제작하여 실내 삼축압축시험을 실시하였다. 또한 모래기둥을 토목섬유등의 보강재로 감싼 경우에 있어서 지반의 보강정도 및 효과에 대해서도 시험이 이루어 졌다. 삼축압축시험 결과, 모래기둥의 직경과 밀도가 커질수록 전단강도가 증가하는 일반적인 경향을 보이나, 모래기둥을 보강재료로 감싼 경우의 전단강도 증가가 매우 크다. 그리고 배수간격비가 3이하를 경계로 하여 그 증가정도가 뚜렷하게 나타나고 모래의 전단거동과 유사하다. 간극수압계수는 배수간격비가 작아질수록 감소하는 경향으로 전단강도 결과에서와 같이 배수간격비가 3~4이하에서는 그 감소 정도가 크다.

리모델링 공동주택단지의 외부공간 성능평가 비교 연구 (The Comparative Study on Performance Evaluation of Outdoor Space for Remodeling Apartment)

  • In this study, remodeling projects are perceived as a sustainable urban management policy to boost the value of old apartments and stimulate urban regeneration and development. To evaluate the physical environmental performance of external spaces of remodeled apartments, an evaluation model was developed. After applying it to the target places, the following results were obtained. First, analysis of the external space change index of the target apartments revealed that institutional standards are necessary in line with the building arrangement type, parking lot expansion method, and changes in the building-to-land ratio. Second, the score ratio as to the external space change index performance is as follows: safety (48.30); pleasantness (25.90); convenience (18.90); eco-friendliness (14.90). In other words, "safety" had the biggest score ratio. Third, to boost the external space performance of remodeled apartments, the needs of residents and neighboring environmental plans should be considered from a communality standpoint.
