구조용 경량 알루미늄 발포금속의 기계적 특성 연구 분석 (Mechanical Characteristics Analysis of Structural Light-weight Aluminum Foam)

  • 대표적인 경량금속 중의 하나인 알루미늄 폼재의 연구동향을 기계적인 측면에서 고찰하여 보았다. 특히 기공(pore)을 가진 알루미늄재료는 난연성, 감쇠특성, 에너지흡수 성능 등 여러 측면에서 기존의 폴리머 폼재보다 우수한 기계적 성능을 가지고 있고, 더욱이 재활용이 가능하다는 면에서 환경보호에 관심이 집중되고 있는 현 시점에서 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 폼재의 일반적 특성, 에너지 흡수 및 소음흡수 특성에 대해 살펴보고 폼재가 적용된 사례들에 대한 분석을 통해 향후 폼재와 외곽 구조재의 접합문제 등에 대한 제언을 하였다.

SEA 기법을 이용한 저중량 대시판넬 흡,차음재 성능에 대한 연구 (Acoustic Study of light weight insulation system on Dash using SEA technique)

  • In this paper Statistical Energy Analysis has been considered to predict high frequency air borne interior noise. Dash panel Insulation is major part to reduce engine excitation noise. Transmission loss and absorption coefficient are considered to predict dash insulation performance. Transmission lose is derived from coupling loss factor and absorption coefficient is derived from internal damping loss factor. Material Biot properties were used to calculate each loss factors. Insulation geometry thickness distribution was hard to measure, so FeGate software was used to calculate thickness map from CAD drawing. Each predicted transmission losses between conventional insulation and light weight insulation were compared with SEA. Transmission loss measurement was performed to validate each prediction result, and it showed good correlation between prediction and measurement. Finally interior noise prediction was performed and result showed light weight insulation system can reduce 40% weight to keep similar performance with conventional insulation system, even though light weigh insulation system has lower sound transmission loss and higher absorption coefficient than conventional system.

포스트텐션 중공슬래브의 동적 특성 (Dynamic Characteristic of Post-tensioned Void Slab)

  • 바닥슬래브의 처짐과 차음 성능을 개선하기 위하여 포스트텐션 중공슬래브가 최근에 자주 사용되고 있다. 동일한 8m 스팬 1층구조물을, 한 구조물은 일반슬래브(solid slab)로, 다른 구조물은 중공슬래브(void slab)로 2개를 제작하여 각 구조물의 바닥슬래브에 포스트텐션을 도입하였다. 중공슬래브의 고유진동수와 감쇠율의 진동특성을 일반슬래브와 비교하였으며, 포스트텐션 도입 후에 일반슬래브와 중공슬래브 각각에 있어서 고유진동수와 감쇠율의 진동특성을 상호 비교하였다. 210mm의 일반슬래브 보다는 250mm 중공슬래브의 1차 고유진동수가 큰 것을 알 수 있다. 포스트텐션 도입 후에도 중공슬래브의 1차 고유진동수는 일반슬래브 보다 큰 것을 알 수 있다. 일반슬래브와 보이드슬래브의 감쇠율은 포스트텐션 도입 전과 도입 후에 거의 동일한 값을 보이는 것을 확인하였다.

모멘트상 액추에이터가 적용된 평판의 PPF 능동제어 (Positive Position Feedback Control of Plate Vibrations using Moment Pair Actuators)

  • This paper reports the active vibration control of plates using positive position feedback controller (PPF). The equations of motion of the plate under force and moment pairs were derived and the equations of PPF controllers were formulated. The effect of the parameters - gain and damping ratio - of the PPF controllers on the open loop transfer function was investigated mainly in terms of the system stability. Increasing the gain of the PPF controller tuned at a mode, the magnitude of the open loop transfer function is increased at all frequencies without changing the phase behavior. The increase of the damping ratio of the PPF controller leads to decrease the magnitude of the open loop transfer function and to modify its phase characteristics to be more stable. Two PPF controllers connected in parallel, Each PPF controller is tuned at the $1^{st}$ and $2^{nd}$ modes, respectively. Their parameters were determined to remain the system to be stable based on the results of the parametric study. A significant reduction in vibration at the 2 modes can be obtained.

  • In this paper, a simplified model is studied to predict analytically the radiated noise from the helical gear system due to an axial excitation of helical gear. The simplified model describes gear, shaft, bearing, and housing. To obtain the axial force of helical gear, mesh stiffness is calculated in the load deflection relation. The axial force is obtained from the solution of the equation of motion, using the mesh stiffness. It is used as a longitudinal excitation of the shaft, which in turn drives the gear housing through the bearing. In this study, the shaft is modeled as a rod, while the bearing is modeled as a parallel spring and damper only supporting longitudinal forces. The gear housing is modeled as a clamped circular plate with viscous damping. For the modeling of this system, transfer function from the shaft to the clamped plate are used, using a spectral method with four pole parameters. Out-of-plane displacement for the thin circular plate with viscous damping is derived and sound pressure radiated from the plate is also derived. Using the model, parameter studies are carried out.

  • This paper presents phenomena of vibration and noise due to acoustic resonance in tube bank of a power plant. Acoustic resonance is may arise when the vortex shedding frequency coincides with the acoustic natural frequency. At the resonance, the value of vibration in this system was 595 ${\mu}m$, p-p and the sound pressure level was maximum 103 dBA. And the resonance frequency was found to be 35 Hz. When the difference of vortex shedding frequency and acoustic natural frequency is within ${\pm}20%$, acoustic resonance is possible. In this system, the difference of these frequencies was 1.8%. We can evaluate the possibility of acoustic resonance by using damping parameter. We did eliminate acoustic resonance by installing baffle in tube bank. After installing baffle, the level of vibration and noise was reduced dramatically.

  • 로켓엔진 연소기의 음향 불안정 억제를 위해 고안된 반파장 공명기의 음향학적 최적 설계 조건을 실험적으로 연구하였다. 표준 음향시험 절차에 따라 음향파관에 공명기를 장착하여 음향파 응답 신호를 측정하였다. 측정된 신호를 토대로, 흡음계수를 계산하였고, 이로부터 공명기의 음향감쇠 성능을 파악하였다. 연소실을 모사하는 음향파관의 직경을 변화시켰고, 각 음향파관에 대해 공명기의 최적 면적비를 구하였다. 공명기의 면적비가 최적 값을 초과할 때 과감쇠가 발생하였다. 연소실 직경이 증가함에 따라 최적 면적비가 감소하였고, 공명기 직경이 증가 할수록 더 작은 면적비에서 최적 흡음성능이 나타남을 알았다.

파이버 레이저를 이용한 이종 마그네슘 합금의 용접성에 관한 연구 (The Weldability of the Dissimilar Magnesium Alloy Welded by Fiber Laser)

  • Magnesium alloys have gained increased attention in recent years as the structural materials, because of their attractive properties such as good specific strength, excellent sound damping capability. However, to expand their applications, a reliable joining process is absolutely necessary. In this study, a CW fiber laser was used to investigate the lap weldability of sand casting and wrought magnesium alloys. The effect of defocused distance on lap weldability was examined, and it was found that spatters always generated at the around focused distance because of the high power density of the laser beam. Thus, defocused distance was required to obtain sound welds. In addition, the application of fillet welding was evaluated for minimizing the affect of sand casting magnesium alloy that have relatively poor weldability. As a result of this study, we could confirm good weldability without weld defects.

  • Vehicle CAE models for NVH predictions are largely developed in two schemes. One is FE models generally used for below 200 Hz problems such as booming noise, and the other is SEA models for high frequencies of more than 1 kHz, representatively related to sound packages. HMC has tried to develop a CAE model for 200-1000 Hz, so-called mid-frequency region, and this paper is one of the corresponding results. The CAE model is developed based on an FE model, and then FE elements at some areas are substituted with SEA elements to reduce DOFs. SEA panels are described by modal density, radiation efficiency, stiffness and damping characteristics that are found from some numerical assessments. Sound packages are modeled similarly as a conventional SEA model. The CAE model developed in this manner, the hybrid model, was compared to experimental results. Predicted pressure and vibrational velo city generally show a good agreement. The developed CAE model and related technology are successfully being used in vehicle development process.

유한요소해석을 이용한 공동주택의 중량충격음 예측 (Prediction of Heavy-Weight Floor Impact Sound in Multi-unit House using Finite Element Analysis)

  • 본 논문에서는 유한요소법을 이용하여 공동주택의 중량충격음을 예측하기 위해 구조해석 모델과 음향해석 모델을 개발하고 예측결과와 실험결과를 비교하여 정확성을 검증하였다. 패널 임피던스 값을 사용하여 거실의 적절한 흡음 특성을 반영할 수 있었으며, 수치해석에 주파수 응답함수 특성을 적용하여 1회 수치해석만으로 다양한 충격원에 대한 응답을 예측할 수 있도록 하였다. 구조진동에 의한 실내 소음해석은 유한요소 수치해석 기법이 진동 및 음향모드에 대한 응답을 비교적 정확하게 예측할 수 있도록 하였으며, 본 연구의 예측결과는 실험결과와 비교적 유사한 값을 나타내었다. 향후 정확도가 보다 향상된 수치해석 모델개발을 통해 바닥충격음 저감에 효과적인 공동주택 설계가 가능할 것으로 판단된다.
