  • 최근 수상 레저 사업장과 레저기구의 개수는 지속해서 성장하고 있다. 수상레저기구 중에서도 카약과 카누의 보급률이 크게 증가하고 있다. 기존에는 주로 FRP 재료를 사용하여 제작하였으나, 지구온난화, 천연자원 고갈 등의 문제로 인해 청정에너지 및 신재생 에너지에 대한 필요성이 대두됨에 따라 탄소섬유에 대한 수요도 빠르게 증가하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 사회적인 변화 의식에 부합하기 위하여, 탄소섬유를 적용한 보급형 카약을 설계하고, 제품의 신뢰성을 검증하기 위하여 저항성능 및 구조 안전성 평가를 수행하였다. 속도 변화에 따른 압력저항과 마찰저항 변화를 검토하였으며, 속도 2.6 m/s 이상에서는 압력저항이 크게 증가하면서 전체저항이 커지는 현상이 발생한다. 현재 카약 구조는 운용 시 고려할 수 있는 설계하중을 고려 시, 충분한 안전율을 갖고 있음을 확인하였다.

소셜 네트워크 환경에서 국내 외국인 유학생의 미디어 정보 리터러시 현황분석 (An Analysis on the Status Quo of International Students' Media Information Literacy in Social Network Environment)

  • 본 연구는 국내에서 영어로 수업을 진행하는 K대학 외국인 유학생들의 미디어 정보 리터러시 수준분석을 위해 설문조사를 실시하였다. 응답결과를 바탕으로 수집된 측정결과에 대해 타당성과 신뢰도를 검증하기 위해 통계분석프로그램인 SPSS 21.0으로 문항분석을 실시하였으며, 연구대상 집단별도 각 요인별 미디어 정보 리터러시 이용의 다양성을 분석하였다. 빈도분석, ${\chi}^2-test$를 사용하여 분석한 결과를 근거로 영어로 수업을 하는 외국인 유학생의 국내 미디어 정보 리터러시 이용현황은 주로 인터넷 쇼핑, 은행 등의 일생생활에 초점이 맞추어져 있음을 확인하였다.

  • 4차 산업혁명에 대한 관심도가 높아지면서, 현실에 존재하는 요소들과 가상에 존재하는 요소들이 상호작용 하는 CPS 라는 개념이 중요한 기술로 주목받고 있다. 전기자동차, 자율주행, 스마트 팩토리나 스마트 그리드 시스템과 같은 복잡한 구조를 가진 시스템들은 4차 산업혁명의 핵심 기술 분야로 간주되고 있으며, 이를 개발하기 위해 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 하지만 시스템 구성요소들의 복잡한 연결은 개발을 어렵게 하고, 개발의 신뢰성을 보장하기 쉽지 않다. 시스템의 신뢰성은 자율주행자동차 경우 사람의 안전 직결되며 실제 자동차의 하드웨어와 ADAS의 소프트웨어의 연결된 검증이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 복잡한 하이브리드 시스템의 신뢰성 있는 검증을 위해 HILS를 지원하는 분산 시뮬레이션 미들웨어를 제안한다.

Use of an anatomical mid-sagittal plane for 3-dimensional cephalometry: A preliminary study

  • Purpose: Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) is widely used for 3-dimensional assessments of cranio-maxillo-facial relationships, especially in patients undergoing orthognathic surgery. We have introduced, for reference in CBCT cephalometry, an anatomical mid-sagittal plane (MSP) identified by the nasion, the midpoint between the posterior clinoid processes of the sella turcica, and the basion. The MSP is an updated version of the median plane previously used at our institution for 2D posterior-anterior cephalometry. This study was conducted to test the accuracy of the CBCT measures compared to those obtained using standard posterior-anterior cephalometry. Materials and Methods: Two operators measured the inter-zygomatic distance on 15 CBCT scans using the MSP as a reference plane, and the CBCT measurements were compared with measurements made on patients' posterior-anterior cephalograms. The statistical analysis evaluated the absolute and percentage differences between the 3D and 2D measurements. Results: As demonstrated by the absolute mean difference (roughly 1 mm) and the percentage difference (less than 3%), the MSP showed good accuracy on CBCT compared to the 2D plane, especially for measurements of the left side. However, the CBCT measurements showed a high standard deviation, indicating major variability and low precision. Conclusion: The anatomical MSP can be used as a reliable reference plane for transverse measurements in 3D cephalometry in cases of symmetrical or asymmetrical malocclusion. In patients who suffer from distortions of the skull base, the identification of landmarks might be difficult and the MSP could be unreliable. Becoming familiar with the relevant software could reduce errors and improve reliability.

In-plane structural analysis of blind-bolted composite frames with semi-rigid joints

  • This paper presents a useful in-plane structural analysis of low-rise blind-bolted composite frames with semi-rigid joints. Analytical models were used to predict the moment-rotation relationship of the composite beam-to-column flush endplate joints that produced accurate and reliable results. The comparisons of the analytical model with test results in terms of the moment-rotation response verified the robustness and reliability of the model. Abaqus software was adopted to conduct frame analysis considering the material and geometrical non-linearities. The flexural behaviour of the composite frames was studied by applying the lateral loads incorporating wind and earthquake actions according to the Australian standards. A wide variety of frames with a varied number of bays and storeys was analysed to determine the bending moment envelopes under different load combinations. The design models were finalized that met the strength and serviceability limit state criteria. The results from the frame analysis suggest that among lateral loads, wind loads are more critical in Australia as compared to the earthquake loads. However, gravity loads alone govern the design as maximum sagging and hogging moments in the frames are produced as a result of the load combination with dead and live loads alone. This study provides a preliminary analysis and general understanding of the behaviour of low rise, semi-continuous frames subjected to lateral load characteristics of wind and earthquake conditions in Australia that can be applied in engineering practice.

Facial reanimation with masseter nerve-innervated free gracilis muscle transfer in established facial palsy patients

  • Background The masseter nerve is a useful donor nerve for reconstruction in patients with established facial palsy, with numerous advantages including low morbidity, a strong motor impulse, high reliability, and fast reinnervation. In this study, we assessed the results of masseter nerve-innervated free gracilis muscle transfer in established facial palsy patients. Methods Ten patients with facial palsy who received treatment from January 2015 to January 2017 were enrolled in this study. Three patients received masseter nerve-only free gracilis transfer, and seven received double-innervated free gracilis transfer (masseter nerve and a cross-face nerve graft). Patients were evaluated using the Facial Assessment by Computer Evaluation software (FACEgram) to quantify oral commissure excursion and symmetry at rest and when smiling after muscle transfer. Results The mean time between surgery and initial movement was roughly 167.7 days. A statistically significant increase in excursion at rest and when smiling was seen after muscle transfer. There was a significant increase in the distance of oral commissure excursion at rest and when smiling. A statistically significant increase was observed in symmetry when smiling. Terzis' functional and aesthetic grading scores showed significant improvements postoperatively. Conclusions Masseter nerve innervation is a good option with many uses in in established facial palsy patients. For some conditions, it is the first-line treatment. Free gracilis muscle transfer using the masseter nerve has excellent results with good symmetry and an effective degree of recovery.

Evaluating the Services of the Deanship of e-Learning and Distance Education at Umm Al-Qura University According to the Opinions of Beneficiaries (Students/Faculty Members)

  • This research was conducted with the aim to appraise the level of satisfaction of students and faculty members with the services of the Deanship of e-Learning and Distance Education at Umm Al-Qura University. In addition, it investigated any differences arising between the evaluation of students and faculty members for these services owing to their gender..To achieve these goals, a descriptive analysis methodology was used in this research. The sample comprised 1357 students (704 male and 653 female) and 372 faculty members (208 male and 164 female) from Umm Al-Qura University in the academic year 2020-2021. To collect the requisite data, the study participants were asked to complete a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire, and the validity and reliability of the data were then assessed. The findings revealed the existence of a high level of satisfaction of students and faculty members with the services of Deanship of e-Learning and Distance Education at Umm Al-Qura University. There are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of students (male/female) at Umm Al-Qura University in evaluating the said services. Furthermore, there are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of faculty members (male/female) at Umm Al-Qura University in evaluating these. There exist statistically significant differences between the mean scores of faculty members and students in the evaluation of the services of the Deanship for the benefit of faculty members.

확장성과 보안을 보장하는 IoT 디바이스 기반의 그룹통신 기법 (Scheme of Secure IoT based Group communication)

  • 본 연구에서는 보안기능을 탑재한 IoT 단말로 구성된 네트워크를 구성하여 보안성과 확장성을 보장하는 그룹통신 기법을 제안한다. 네트워크상에 참여하는 단말의 수가 증가하면 네트워크 자원도 비례하여 감소되며 IoT 단말에 보안기능을 추가하면 IoT 단말에서 암호화로 인해 지연시간이 증가하게 된다. 네트워크에 발생하는 에러율이 높아지면 재전송으로 인해 네트워크 자원은 빠르게 잠식되게 된다. 따라서 보안성을 지원하면서 확장성을 보장하도록 IoT 단말을 그룹화 하여 참여 노드가 증가하여도 네트워크 자원의 소모를 감소시켜 확장성을 보장할 수 있도록 하였다. 향후 구현을 위해 IoT 단말에서 사용하는 암호화 방식은 IEEE802.5.4의 표준을 고려하였으며 표준화 동향을 조사 분류하였다. 제안하는 방식은 IEEE802.5.4 표준의 보안기능을 제공하는 IoT 디바이스를 그룹통신 기반에 적용하여 신뢰성과 확장성 보장이 가능하도록 하였다. 성능평가는 시뮬레이션을 통해 보안기능을 갖는 IoT 디바이스를 기존 방식과 그릅통신으로 구성하였을 때의 지연시간을 비교하여 제안한 방법의 효율성을 확인하였다.

장애인 활동지원사의 일터영성이 이직의도와 직무만족에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Workplace Spirituality of Supporters for the Disabled on turnover Intention and Job Satisfaction)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 장애인 활동지원사의 일터영성, 이직의도, 직무만족과의 관계를 파악하는데 있다. 연구대상은 OO시 장애인 활동지원사 134명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 분석방법은 SPSS 프로그램을 사용하여 빈도분석, 신뢰도분석, 상관관계분석, 변수 간의 인과관계에 대한 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 장애인 활동지원사의 일터영성 하위요인인 소명의식은 이직의도에 부적(-)으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 장애인 활동지원사의 일터영성이 직무만족에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과 일터영성의 하위요인인 소명의식, 공동체의식은 직무만족에 정적(+)으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 이는 장애인 활동지원사가 지각하는 일터영성의 소명의식이 높을수록 이직의도가 낮아진다는 것을 의미한다. 본 연구의 시사점은 장애인 활동지원사의 이직의도 감소 방안 마련을 위한 역량강화프로그램 개발의 기초자료가 될 것으로 사료된다.

Finding the Optimal Data Classification Method Using LDA and QDA Discriminant Analysis

  • With the recent introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, the use of data is rapidly increasing, and newly generated data is also rapidly increasing. In order to obtain the results to be analyzed based on these data, the first thing to do is to classify the data well. However, when classifying data, if only one classification technique belonging to the machine learning technique is applied to classify and analyze it, an error of overfitting can be accompanied. In order to reduce or minimize the problems caused by misclassification of the classification system such as overfitting, it is necessary to derive an optimal classification by comparing the results of each classification by applying several classification techniques. If you try to interpret the data with only one classification technique, you will have poor reasoning and poor predictions of results. This study seeks to find a method for optimally classifying data by looking at data from various perspectives and applying various classification techniques such as LDA and QDA, such as linear or nonlinear classification, as a process before data analysis in data analysis. In order to obtain the reliability and sophistication of statistics as a result of big data analysis, it is necessary to analyze the meaning of each variable and the correlation between the variables. If the data is classified differently from the hypothesis test from the beginning, even if the analysis is performed well, unreliable results will be obtained. In other words, prior to big data analysis, it is necessary to ensure that data is well classified to suit the purpose of analysis. This is a process that must be performed before reaching the result by analyzing the data, and it may be a method of optimal data classification.
