In this paper, It is indicating that an issues of the conventional boost converter for high frequency induction heating. To improve those issues, it is proposed, simulated and analyzed that the current resonant circuit, simulated. As the result, we knew that the proposed circuit has a good point to improve the waveform of input current and to make high efficiency. On the other side, in the inverter for the high current power supply, it is proposed that the high frequency inverter of the half bridge topology, be done the circuit analysis to extract the optimal circuit parameter. It is making sure of the soft switching operating by the inductor to reverse parallel connected on the inverter main switch, decreasing the surge voltage when the switch is turn-off by compulsion, and repressing the switch current and bringing the high current amplitude operation by the multi resonance.

The present paper is to investigate the phase stability and soft magnetic properties of amorphous CoNbZr films when Pd is added as a substitution for CoNbZr alloys. The films were prepared by a RF magnetron sputtering method. The CoNbZrPd films deposited on Si wafers exhibited amorphous structures being independent upon the amount of Pd added in the films. On the addition of 4.34% Pd, the excellent soft magnetic characteristics of the films were observed with a coercive force of 0.54 Oe and an anisotropy field of 11 Oe, whereas a coercive force of 1 Oe and an anisotropy field of 3.5 Oe were shown in the film without the addition of Pd. The increased anisotropy field and low coercive force of the films may be attributed to the occupancy of Pd in the preferred sites parallel to the external magnetic field applied on the deposition process. A permeability of about 1100 was kept constant in the operation frequency ranging up to 100 MHz, which can be explained by the Landau-Lifshitz formula.

This paper presents a step-down DC-DC converter with On-chip Compensation for battery-operated portable electronic devices which are designed in O.13um CMOS standard process. In an effort to decrease system volume, this paper proposes the on chip compensation circuit using capacitor multiplier method. Capacitor multiplier method can minimize error amplifier's compensation capacitor size by 10%. It allows the compensation block of DC-DC converter be easily integrated on a chip and occupy less layout area. But capacitor multiplier operation reduces DC-DC converter efficiency. As a result, this converter shows maximum efficiency over 87.2% for the output voltage of 1.2V (input voltage : 3.3V), maximum load current 500mA, and 25mA output ripple current. This voltage mode controled buck converter has 1MHz switching frequency.

The wireless power transfer (WPT) charging system for AGV depends highly on the coupling conditions due to air gap variation. To attain stable output power with high transfer efficiency under various coupling conditions, a single-stage, DC-DC converter that operates with robustness to changes in air gaps is proposed for the WPT system. The proposed converter is capable of soft switching under the set input voltage (Vin: 380 VDC), load conditions (0-1 kW), and air gap changes (30-70 mm). In addition, a wide output voltage range (Vo: 39-54 VDC) can be controlled by varying the link voltage due to the phase control at a fixed switching frequency. Experimental results are verified using a prototype of a 1 kW wireless power charging system.

In this paper, a magnetic-less dc-dc switching converter realizing an integrable power conversion system is described. Instead of magnetic devices, the inductive impedance range of piezoelectric transducers is utilized to store and resonate the energy for soft-switching. Piezoelectric devices have no windings and deliver the power by the electrodes, which lead to mass product through semiconductor-manufacturing process. This paper presents a resonant-type step-up dc-dc power converter employing a disk-type piezoelectric transducer, analyzing the operation principles and the frequency control characteristics. Also, a topology extension of the single stage converter into cascaded multi-stage is presented and analyzed with the operation principles and control characteristics. For verification of the analysis, a 10W output dc-dc power converter hardware was implemented. The hardware experiments shows a good frequency control and power efficiency greater than 96% in the single stage. A hardware prototype of the extended multi-stage one was also realized and tested. The results shows that the converter has the same frequency control performance and high efficiency such as 93%.
In this paper we propose an efficient content-based image retrieval method using the color and wavelet based texture features. The color features are obtained from soft-color histograms of the global image and the wavelet-based texture features are obtained from the invariant moments of the high-pass sub-band through the spatial-frequency analysis of the wavelet transform. The proposed system, called a color and texture based two-step retrieval(CTBTR), is composed of two-step query operations for an efficient image retrieval. In the first-step matching operation, the color histogram features are used to filter out the dissimilar images quickly from a large image database. The second-step matching operation applies the wavelet based texture features to the retained set of images to retrieve all relevant images successfully. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm yields more improved retrieval accuracy with computationally efficiency than the previous methods.
In this paper, a discontinuous-conduction mode (DCM) DC-DC buck converter is presented for mobile device applications. The buck converter consists of compensator for stable operations, pulse-width modulation (PWM) logic, and power switches. In order to achieve small hardware form-factor, the number of off-chip components should be kept to be minimum, which can be realized with simple and efficient frequency compensation and digital soft start-up circuits. Burst-mode operation is included for preventing the efficiency from degrading under very light load condition. The DCM DC-DC buck converter is fabricated with 0.18-um BCDMOS process. Programmable output with external resistors is typically set to be 1.8V for the input voltage between 2.8 and 5.0V. With a switching frequency of 1MHz, measured maximum efficiency is 92.6% for a load current of 100mA.

This paper presents a high-efficiency CMOS PWM DC-DC buck converter. It generates a constant output voltage(1-2.8V), from an input voltage(3.4-3.9V). Inductor-based type is chosen and inductor current is controlled with PWM operation. The designed circuit consists of power switch, Pulse Width Generation, Buffer, Zero Current Sensing, Current Sensing Circuit, Clock & Ramp generation, V-I Converter, Soft Start, Compensator and Modulator. Switching Frequency is 1MHz, It operates in CCM when the load current is more than 40mA, and the maximum efficiency is 98.71% at 100mA. Output voltage ripple is 0.98mV(input voltage:3.5V, output voltage:2.5V). The performance of the designed circuit has been verified through extensive simulation using a CMOS $0.18{\mu}m$ technology.

Recently, DC-DC choppers must be increased switching frequency in order to achieve a small size, a light weight and a low noise. However, the switches of chopper are subjected to high switching power losses and switching stresses. As a result of these, the chopper system bring on a low power efficiency. To improved these, this paper is studied on a new DC-DC chopper of high efficiency operated with soft switching(that is, zero current switching and zero voltage switching, ZVCS), of semiconductor switches using in chopper. The soft switching operation is applied to a partial resonant method that the switches operate at zero current of inductor and zero voltage of capacitor in resonant circuit. And the partial resonant circuit makes use of a inductor using step-up and a snubber capacitor, the circuit topology of chopper is simple. Some simulative results on computer and experimental results confirm the validity of analytical results of the DC-DC chopper.
This paper proposes a novel Auxiliary Resonant Commutated Pole Inverter (ARCPI) topology. The conventional ARCPIs make the hard switching at turn-off likewise the conventional PWM inverters. Therefore, turn-off switching losses may be so serious and can be so much considerable in high power level. The proposed ARCPI can solve this problem with high frequency transformers, switches, and capacitors. All the switches in the expanded auxiliary circuit achieves the soft switching and operates only during the commutating intervals. The characteristics and the analysis for each operation mode are described in detail and the validity is verified by the simulations and the experimental results.
