  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of social workers' emotional labor on non-task behaviors. This study characterizes emotional labor as deep acting and surface acting, non-task behavior as organizational citizenship behavior(OCB) and counterproductive work behavior(CWB). And this study also examines the mediating effect of social workers' emotional dissonance in the relationship between surface acting and non-task behavior, and the moderating effect of senior worker's emotional leadership in the relationship between emotional dissonance and non-task behaviors. The results from this study are as follows. Firstly, social workers' deep acting improves their OCB. Secondly, social workers' surface acting has strong effects on their emotional dissonance, and this emotional dissonance hinders their OCB. In addition, the mediating effect of emotional dissonance is also recognized at this point. Thirdly, senior worker's emotional leadership moderates the relationship between social worker's emotional dissonance and OCB in the sense that emotional leadership is expected to reduce the negative effects of emotional dissonance on OCB. However, the influence of emotional labor on CWB has no statistical significance in this study. Based on these results, detailed theoretical and practical implications are discussed.

The survey for data collection was conducted from July 4th 2019 to July 30th, 2019 among employees of social welfare facilities located in Gyeonggi province. We analyzed the data from 205 participants who had agreed on the purpose of the study. The data analysis showed that the factors for social worker's practice performance were found to be marital status, leadership (transformational leadership, transactional leadership) and work environment. On the other hand, work environment (fairness of job evaluation) was found to have a mediating effect in the relationship between leadership and practice performance. Based on the results, this study discussed the need for adequate leadership to be practiced by taking the maturity of the organization members into consideration so that social worker's professional competence in practice performance can improve. As for work environment, it is imperative to increase the fairness in job evaluation.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify what factors actually affect the turnover intentions of social workers. It is an important task to grasp the factors of turnover of the social worker through empirical analysis because the high turnover rate of social welfare workers in Korea has a negative influence on their organization and ultimately impedes the stable delivery of social welfare services. This study used the results of analyzing 100 social workers in social service companies. In fact, the data used in this study were statistically analyzed only for 82 subjects, except for 18 subjects who did not respond to the variables used. As a result, the general effects of job stress on job turnover and job exhaustion were examined as much as possible. We examined the effect of job stress, an independent variable, on the turnover and exhaustion of social workers. Specifically, job stress was divided into role, organizational, and relationship, and it was found that role - related factor job stress only affected social workers' turnover intention significantly. In addition, the relationship-related affected the exhaustion of the social worker. Therefore, in order to reduce the exhaustion of the social worker, the desirable direction to reduce the stress of the relationship-related factor should be sought.

Second, service provider and consumer, The provider-perceiving quality showed less score than that of consumer, especially the lowest was the score of quality of outcome perceived by provider. Third, according to the types of organizational culture, there were significantly different levels of quality in total social work services, structure dimension and process dimension. The quality of outcome dimension did not show significant differences among the type of organizational culture. Finally, the most influential variables to the quality of social work service ice proved departmental form of social work unit, leader of social work unit, and developmental culture of hospital To assure quality services, accordingly, social work unit in hospital is required to be organized as a single unit, that means to be an independent department of which qualified social worker is supposed to control the unit. It is strongly recommended to develop leadership for the leaders of social work unit.
