Purpose: This study aimed to explore frontline nurses' experience of patient-centered care and understand the factors affecting its implementation in hospitals. Methods: Four focus group interviews were conducted with 30 nurses in two university hospitals. The following theoretical framework of patient-centered care was used: 1) Respect for patients' values, preferences, and expressed needs, 2) Care coordination and integration, 3) Information, communication, and education, 4) Physical comfort, 5) Emotional support and alleviation of fear and anxiety, 6) Involvement of family and friends, 7) Care transition and continuity, and 8) System issues. We performed a directed content analysis. Results: The most frequent patient-centered nursing practices of the hospital nurses were "promoting physical comfort" in inpatient settings and "providing information and communicating" in outpatient settings. The factors influencing patient-centered nursing included the health professionals' mindfulness, work overload and staff shortage, and unreasonable social demands and regulations. Conclusion: A more comprehensive patient-centered nursing practice should be implemented by improving "care transition and continuity," "family/caregiver involvement," and "system building." Health professionals' mindfulness is significant, and organizational supports addressing work overload and staff shortage are needed alongside change in social awareness.

본 연구는 노인일자리사업 참여자의 사회적 지지(사회활동, 가족/사회관계), 정서문제와 삶의 질 간의 구조적 관계를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 '2012년 노인일자리사업 참여노인 실태조사' 데이터를 활용하여 총 2,005명의 노인일자리사업 참여자를 대상으로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 주요한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인일자리사업 참여자의 삶의 질에 대해 가족/사회관계는 정(+)적인 영향을, 정서문제는 부(-)적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 사회활동은 정서문제에 부(-)적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 사회활동은 정서문제를 매개로 하여 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 본 연구에서는 정책적 실천적 함의를 제시하였다.

이 연구는 우리나라 사회복지조직의 조직성장유형을 알아보고 각 조직성장유형의 조직운영방식을 살펴보았다. 본 연구를 위해서 사회복지서비스 제공 역사가 40년 이상된 사회복지법인의 설립자와 동일 법인에서 20년 이상 근무한 관리자가 연구에 참여하였다. 연구자는 연구에 참여한 20명과의 심층인터뷰, 문헌을 통한 정보수집, 결과에 대한 참여자의 확인과 동료연구자와의 협력적 분석을 진행하였다. 자료분석은 근거이론 방법을 활용하여 총 169개의 개념, 49개의 하위범주 그리고 21개의 상위범주가 유목화되었다. 연구결과 우리나라 사회복지조직의 조직성장유형은 '가족애(家族愛) 실천형', '지역사회변화 유도형', '선도(善導)적 선도(先導)형' 등 3가지 유형이 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과는 우리나라 사회복지조직이 가지고 있는 태생적 특성에 대한 심층적 이해, 사회복지조직성장유형의 이론 구축 그리고 사회복지조직운영에 대한 실천적 함의를 제시하고 있다.

최근 대학은 정부의 청년고용 활성화 정책 방향과 사회변화에 따른 산업 수요에 대응하기 위하여 더 넓은 범위의 기술적, 사회적 스킬을 교육하도록 요구받고 있다. 이에 따라, 대학의 현장실습은 더욱 강화되고 있다. 학생들이 현장실습을 통해 얻은 일 경험과 정보가 진로에 대한 자신감을 향상시키고, 아울러 졸업 이후에는 취업뿐만 아니라 창업의 동기로 작용할 수 있는지를 확인하는 것은 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 학생들이 현장실습을 통해 진로에 대한 자신감을 향상시킴으로써 그에 따른 결과와 행동을 끌어내는 동기적 측면에 대해 분석하였다. 아울러 현장실습 경험이 고용 가능성과 창업 의도에 주는 영향을 자기 주도적 경력 태도를 매개변수로 설정하여 함께 살펴보았다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생의 현장실습 경험은 고용 가능성에 유의한 영향을 미치지만 창업 의도에는 직접적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 현장실습 경험이 있는 학생은 자기 주도적 경력 태도가 높을수록 고용 가능성에서 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 자기 주도적 경력 태도가 높을수록 창업 의도에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것이 확인되었다. 본 연구에서는 취업과 창업으로 양분되던 기존의 연구에서 벗어나 대학생의 현장실습 활동이 고용 가능성과 창업 의도에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 통하여 대학이 정부의 취·창업지원정책을 충족시키는 동시에 실질적인 성과를 거둘 수 있는지 분석하는 이론적 토대를 제공하고자 한다.

This article proposes an interwoven three-part framework for conceptualizing and analyzing the role of information in human activities, melding the cognitive and affective domain of the individual, the collective domain of the social, and the domain of signification and communication practices, focusing on the ways in which individual characteristics, social context and interaction, and signification and representation work together to form information behavior. The article presents an overview of each of these three domains and discusses the ways in which they are intertwined. It argues that considering the three domains in relation to each other offers a holistic framework within which to consider the ways in which information - needs, behavior, creation, and use - depends simultaneously on all three. It concludes by offering a brief discussion of the implications of the framework for information services, including (but not limited to) libraries.

Drawing from journal articles, community nutrition textbooks, government documents, national conference reports, the author's own work in community programming, and discussions with practicing Community Nutritionists, this article illuminates the scope and character of community nutrition in the United States. It traces the roots of community nutrition in home economics, nutrition, education, communication, social and behavioral sciences, and describes the evolution of theory. And finally it suggests issues to be addressed by community nutrition researchers and practitioners through collaborations that integrate perspectives within community nutrition and strategically cross disciplinary boundaries. These include： 1) theory development and application in research and practice within philosophically consistent perspectives； 2) methodological development (qualitative and quantitative) drawing from the social and behavioral sciences that apply to community nutrition； 3) taking a long view of community nutrition and recognizing that change requires integrated efforts over long periods of time； 4) engaging community stakeholders in research as well as program planning and 5) engaging with community nutritionists from other countries for cross-cultural research and conceptualization. This journal and the Korean Society for Community Nutrition, as the only journal and society expressly devoted to community nutrition, would be the best context for such collaborations.

This study examines the effect of smartphone to adolescent's mental health and defines moderating effect of parent-child relationship. For this purpose, 278 subjects were surveyed from 1 middle schools in Gwangju and Jeonnam area. The result of this study are as follows. First, when verifying the impact of smartphone addiction on their mental health, The smartphone addiction was found as the key variable that has a negative impact on mental health. The results indicated that adolescents with higher levels of smartphone addiction more likely to have lower levels of mental health. Second, impact of parent-child relationship on their mental health was analyzed. The analytic results suggest that parent-child relationship has a impact on their mental health. In other words, higher parent-child relationship means higher mental health. Third, the moderating effect of parent-child relationship was analyzed. The parent-child relationship check the moderating effect of do smartphone addiction on their mental health. The implications for social work practice were also discussed.

The relationship between homeownership and participation in giving and volunteering overall indicates that homeowners are more likely to give and participate in volunteering organizations than renters. This study compared 'giving and participation in volunteering between homeowners(n=6,078) and renters(3,587) in the 14^th Korean Welfare Panel Survey data collected in 2019. The outcome measure of study is a binary outcome of giving and volunteering participation. This study accounted for a bias arising from selection on observables. Specifically, this study employed a recursive bivariate probit model to simultaneously estimate respondents' participation in giving and volunteering participation and their selection of homeownership. Findings from this study have provided some evidence that homeowners and renters have different behaviors in giving and volunteering participation. Finally, issues relating to homeownership and social outcomes were discussed. Implications for social work practice and research were further discussed.

This treatise suggests the effective method for the dental laboratory technology teaching plan. It will present concrete practical steps for and audio-visual dental laboratory technology education approach. It will also help students to understand the dental laboratory theory and practice learned in the class and make use of it greatly in the field work. As follows: 1. Instructor should teach interestingly basic dental laboratory technology theory with illustrations and figures on the teaching method. 2. In practical traing class, instructor should teach every step, using audio-visual materials such as slides and video tapes/Instructor and his assist and should show an example to the students. 3. Instructor should make a standard and train the studtnes repeatedly until they come up to it. 4. Students should be skilled in every case through field work during their spare time and vacation. 5. Instructor should also teach job moral and manner to the students so that they can be adapted themselves to the social activities and be successful dental laboratory technician after graduation.

Background: Safety management is required to ensure health and safety of personnel in Norwegian fish farming. However, few studies have addressed the status and practical relevance of this risk-reducing measure. Methods: This article provides new knowledge through interviews with 35 employees at different company levels, addressing perceptions of various safety management activities according to managers and operational personnel. Results: The interviews show that managers and operational personnel at fish farms agree that the quantity of measures aimed to improve safety has increased in recent years. However, some activities are perceived to have higher practical relevance than others. In general, measures that fit well with the practical reality are well received by the employees at the fish farms. Conclusion: Suggested improvements include involving operational personnel in the design of procedures, considering all risk dimensions that may affect occupational health and safety, and challenging the value of specific safety activities based on a detailed knowledge of the distinctive characteristics of work practice in fish farming.
