The present study investigated the relationship between adult attachment and depression and the moderating effects of social support in secondary school teachers. Survey data was collected from 231 secondary school teachers working at three middle and high schools in the Seoul and Gyung-gi areas. Correlation and hierarchical multiple regression analyses were used to test the relationships among the main variables, namely adult attachment, social support, and depression, and the three moderating effects of social support in the relationship between adult attachment and depression, respectively. The main results were as follows. First, each sub-dimension of adult attachment, namely dependent attachment, anxiety attachment, and close attachment, were significantly correlated with depression levels. All of the variables except senior support and dependent attachment were significantly correlated with depression. Second, social support had a moderating effect in the relationship between anxiety attachment and depression. Colleague and family support had moderating effects in the relationship between dependent attachment and depression though senior support did not.

The main purpose of this research is to examine the relation of variables related to the worker's stress symptoms and coping. The influence of emotional support(from family, colleague, and boss), self-efficacy (self-regulatory, social, relational, resiliency, and management of work), job-satisfaction, and job-performance on worker's stress symptoms and coping is analyzed. Participants were 559 teachers (elementary 205, junior high 203, senior high 151; male 132, female 427). The results were as follows: There were no significant differences in stress symptoms and coping among primary, junior and senior high school teachers. On the other hand, there were significant differences in stress symptoms and coping between male and female teachers. Female teachers experienced more stress symptoms than male teachers. At the same time female teachers coped more efficiently in stress situation than male teachers. With emotional support, self-efficacy, job-performance and job-satisfaction as independent variables, the result of multiple regression showed that job-satisfaction has a negative influence on stress symptoms. Positive influences on stress coping was found for resiliency of self-efficacy in case of male teachers, and in case of female teachers resiliency of self-efficacy, emotional support from colleague, job-performance, and emotional support from family. Therefore, regardless of the gender of the teachers, high job-satisfaction decreased stress symptoms and high resiliency of self-efficacy increased efficient stress coping. As for female teachers, not only resiliency of self-efficacy but also emotional support from colleague and family, job-performance contributed to coping with stress.
This study investigated the relationship between preschool children's social competence and perceived social support. The subjects were 85 children enrolled in 10 kindergartens and nurseries located in Seoul. Social support was assessed by children themselves with a social support dialogue Cask, "My Family and Friends," developed by Reid, Lamdegman, and Jaccard (1989). This task consists of 12 dialogues based on Vygotskian principles. Social competency was assessed by teachers with a slightly modified version of Song's Iowa Social Competency Scale (ISCS). The data were analyzed by frequencies percentiles, mean, one-way ANOVAs, and Pearson's correlations. Results showed that (1) Children perceived parents to be the best multi-purpose social providers: mothers for emotional support and fathers for instrumental support. (2) Children with unemployed mothers perceived higher maternal emotional, informational, and instrumental support than children with employed mothers. (3) Middle-class children perceived higher friendship support than upper-or lower-class children. (4) Friendship support was the one variable most significantly related to children's social competence.

The participants were 238 pre-service early childhood teachers in Daejeon Metropolitan City and Chungnam Province. The research instruments were Social Support by Yoon(1993), and Ego-Resilience by Park(1997). Collected data were analysed by F test and Duncon's test for post hoc test, and multiple regression, and Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ for reliability by SPSS PC program(17.0 version). The results were as follows: First, There were no significant differences in social support by education term. However, there were differences between sub-factors of social support by education term. Two-year had higher scores on social support from friends than three-year. Second, there were significant differences in ego-resilience by education term. In the order of four-year, two-year, and three-year had higher scores on ego-resilience. And, there were differences between sub-factors of ego-resilience by education term. Four-year had higher scores on self-confidence than three-year and two-year. In the order of four-year, two-year, and three-year had higher scores on ego-resilience, and anger regulation. Last, social support from friend and social support from professor explained 15% of variance in pre-service early childhood teacher' ego-resilience.

The participants in this study were 230 pre-service early childhood teachers, majoring in early childhood education at two universities located in Daegu, Gyeongbuk province. The results of this study could be summarized as follows. First, pre-service early childhood teachers were shown to be more optimistic, be more satisfied with life, and had higher positive emotion rates than average. They also showed lower stress perception and negative emotion rates than average. Second, the highly optimistic group showed higher levels than the less optimistic group in terms of both satisfaction with life and positive emotions. Third, the stress perception in both the highly optimistic group and the less optimistic group had an impact on their satisfaction with life, positive emotions, and negative emotions. The degree of peer support perceived by the highly optimistic group showed an impact on satisfaction with life and negative emotions, whereas the degree of parental support perceived by the less optimistic group showed an impact on their levels of satisfaction with life.
The purpose of this research is to examine childcare teacher's cognition of human right awareness for handicapped children and consciousness of social integration. The subjects were 209 kindergarten teachers in G city. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression analysis with SPSS ver. 14.0. The results are as follows: Among the childcare teacher's awareness about children with disabilities human right, awareness of right to survive, right to be protected, right to participate, and right to development had direct effects on their consciousness of social integration. Among the social supports influenced by childcare teacher's awareness of human right, informational support and material support had both direct and indirect effects on their consciousness of social integration. Therefore, as childcare teachers' awareness of human right is an important factor for their consciousness of social integration, a systemic human right education for human right awareness should be provided, the necessity of establishing various social support system should be recognized to foster the social environment of respecting young children's human right, and human right awareness should be practiced into action in daily life, in order to help childcare teachers to develop as the main agents of children's human right.
Objectives: This study aimed to confirm the relationship between toothbrushing practice after lunch and typical oral health behaviors in children and adolescents according to the subject and type of social support. Methods: The study used data from the 2010 Korean Survey on the Health of Youth and Children and selected 8,704 elementary, middle, and high school students as final targets. Multiple logistic regression was conducted to confirm the link between social support and toothbrushing after lunch. Results: The results showed that in elementary and vocational high school students, statistical significance of all social support variables disappeared after controlling for both demographic and social factors and oral symptom experience. However, in the middle school students, the emotional support of the neighbors and the emotional support of the teachers showed statistically significant effect on brushing daily after lunch (p<0.05). In general high school students, there was a significant association between family emotional support and toothbrushing after lunch (p<0.01). Conclusions: The oral health promotion program for children and adolescents needs to be integrated and coordinated with the overall health promotion program. In particular, it is believed that the school-based program can strengthen the practice of health behaviors by inducing behavioral changes based on the formation of healthy relationships and trust of colleagues and teachers. Therefore, it is necessary to develop social network-based programs including social support such as emotional health and healthy relationships that can be applied among children for oral health promotion.
In recent university classes, consistent effort to improve co-operative interaction and communication between student and professor utilizing SNS(Social Network Service) is being made. This research conducted survey study with 137 pre-teachers in Daejeon & Chungnam area in order to find the relationship between pre-teachers' ego resilience, level of social support and awareness of the instructional outcome in classes that incorporate SNS. According to the result, it has been found that male's class satisfaction is higher than female's class satisfaction, while significant correlations have been found between ego resilience-social support, social support-class satisfaction, social support-semester satisfaction, and class satisfaction-semester satisfaction. Also, ego resilience and social support have significant effect on awareness of the instructional outcome. From these results, a rather close attention towards students' characteristics and their adaptation in class is needed in order to successfully carry out classes that incorporate various new media.
