  • Supporting communications among users, Social Network has encouraged various information flows through relationships among them. This paper studies on mentality or attitude of Social Network Services (SNS for short) users, on the basis of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM for short) and then proposes so-called TAMS, Technology Acceptance Model for Social Network Services. SNS users make full use of SNS as channels in order to create, expand, and obtain some information related to personal concerns. We will research on how the benefits that users get by using SNS exert influence on user-perceived usability. The SNS-using benefits focus on relationship benefits that are formed by interactions among users. Provided that perceived usability affects mental or informational benefits according to involvement of SNS users, we will check how perceived usability or ease of use is connected to brand attitude.

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine the factors influencing on loyalty in US online shopping malls. The study proposed a model to investigate the relationship among quality of sites, satisfaction, attitude, and loyalty. The hypotheses were examined by analyzing a structural equation model. 280 US samples were used for the final analysis. The results show that this model demonstrates good fit for the samples. The ease of use was found to be a significant variable in their satisfaction, while it did not have the direct effect on attitude toward the sites. The information quality was found to be a crucial variable in consumers' satisfaction and attitude toward the site. Satisfaction directly affected attitude as well as loyalty, and attitude also directly affected loyalty. Thus, the structural relationship among the variables of customers' loyalty was verified. This research provides practical insights into US consumer behaviors that would be beneficial to marketers when they make decisions for the US e-commerce market.

  • Collaborative Filtering (CF) predicts the focal user's preference for particular item based on user's preference rating data and recommends items for the similar users by using them. It is a popular technique for the personalization in e-commerce to reduce information overload. However, it has some limitations including sparsity and scalability problems. In this paper, we use a method to integrate social network information into collaborative filtering in order to mitigate the sparsity and scalability problems which are major limitations of typical collaborative filtering and reflect the user's qualitative and emotional information in recommendation process. In this paper, we use a novel recommendation algorithm which is integrated with collaborative filtering by using Social SVD++ algorithm which considers social network information in SVD++, an extension algorithm that can reflect implicit information in singular value decomposition (SVD). In particular, this study will evaluate the performance of the model by reflecting the real-world user's social network information in the recommendation process.
