The relationship between consumer experience, image perception, and word-of-mouth intention in standalone pop-up stores and pop-ups within department stores (럭셔리 패션 브랜드 팝업매장에서의 소비자 체험, 이미지 인식, 구전의도 간의 관계에 관한 연구 - 독립형과 백화점 입점형 팝업매장을 중심으로 -)

  • This study investigates consumer experiences and word-of-mouth (WOM) intentions in luxury brand pop-up stores, including standalone and department store setups. Grounded in experience economy theory, this study examines the experiential elements based on the types of pop-up stores and the relationships among consumer experience, pop-up store image, and WOM intentions for each type. Data were collected from 300 visitors to luxury brand pop-up stores between January and July 2023 and analyzed using Smart PLS 4.0. The findings reveal several key insights. First, standalone pop-up stores offer educational and escapist experiences, while pop-ups within department stores have a single identified factor of consumer experience. Second, regardless of the store type, luxury pop-up store experiences significantly influence pop-up image perceptions. Third, luxury pop-up store image drives WOM intentions for both standalone and department store pop-ups. Notably, the unique image significantly impacts solely department store pop-ups and does not influence standalone pop-ups. Moreover, image perceptions in both pop-up store types do not significantly affect brand WOM intentions. Finally, WOM intentions for pop-up stores significantly influence WOM intentions for brands. This study contributes to the theoretical understanding of consumer experiences in luxury pop-up stores, providing practical insights for stakeholders in the luxury brand industry to enhance pop-up store image perceptions and WOM intentions.

Smart Adapted Service in Ubiquitous (유비쿼터스 환경에서 사용자의 일정에 따른 지능 정보 제공 시스템)

  • In this paper, we propose a Smart Adapted Service which can manage a schedule automatically. Smart Adapted Service gives a notice beforehand regarding information associated with the schedule, by searching the Internet. If the user has written down the name of goods or food which he wants to buy, Smart Adapted Service finds the most suitable store nearby him using the user's favorite list. The user's favorite list is created by Outlook Web Access System by analysing the schedule and habits of the user. User can access Smart Document System remotely through the Internet using Outlook Web Access System. We developed an Auto AP Roaming System for seamless communication and Smart Document System for arranging the information. We evaluated the system and verified that it is convenient to use and working well.

  • This paper proposes a CIB framework implementing a ubiquitous smart space. In a ubiquitous smart space, a ubiquitous mobile device recognizes surrounding context, and infers the situation and provides services to users. Ubiquitous mobile devices have a RDF store to manage resources and relevant information efficiently on CIB framework. This store space is flexible on the operations such as addition, modification, deletion of information and response to query by SPARQL. In addition, it provides local information to other ubiquitous mobile devices in the from of XML and stores resource information from other ubiquitous mobile devices into local ubiquitous mobile device for the purpose of discovering external resources.

  • Conceptualization of store image have been suggested in the past by many marketing scholars. The dominant perspective about store image is treated as the results of a multi-attribute model. Store image is expressed as a function of the salient attributes of a particular store that are evaluated. Though, there is a little confusions about what elements compose the store image, most scholars agree that merchandise, service, atmosphere, physical facilities, comfort, and location are generally accepted elements as store image. A considerable researches support that shopping can provide both hedonic and utilitarian value. Hedonic shopping value reflects the value received from fantasy and emotive aspects of shopping experience, while utilitarian shopping value reflects the acquisition of products. These two types of shopping value can affect shopping satisfaction. This study examines the relationships among stores images(store atmosphere, salespeople services, facilities, product assortment, and store location), shopping values(utilitarian shopping value and hedonic shopping value), and shopping satisfaction based on discount stores (E-Mart, Home plus, and Lotte Mart). The author hypothesized that five store image components affect shopping values, and these shopping values affect shopping satisfaction. The author focused on the roles of perceived retail crowding between these relationships. Specifically, the author hypothesized that perceived retailing crowding moderated the relationship between shopping values and shopping satisfaction. The author also hypothesized the direct effect of perceived retail crowding on shopping satisfaction. Result indicates that perceived retail crowding affects directly shopping satisfaction and there is a non-linear relationship between them.     • This study explores the evolving landscape of consumer experiences in the context of pop-up stores, considering the shifts from product economy to service economy and now the experience economy. It investigates the factors influencing consumer word-of-mouth intentions by examining the interplay of pop-up store experiences, brand equity, brand charisma, and verbal intent. Using Schmitt's strategic experience modules and the Aaker brand equity model, the study employs quantitative methods and data analysis to uncover the relationships among these variables. Surprisingly, it finds limited associations between the aspects of the pop-up store experience and brand equity. However, it highlights the direct impact of brand equity on brand charisma, which subsequently influences consumers' intentions to share brand-related information. This research contributes to our understanding of word-of-mouth marketing for pop-up stores, filling a knowledge gap and offering valuable insights for academics and businesses navigating the evolving marketing landscape. It also emphasizes the significance of brand charisma in the context of transient in-store experiences and evolving consumer preferences.

    • In order to solve the urban problems caused by the increase of the urban population, the construction of smart city applying the latest technology is being carried out all over the world. In particular, we will create a smart city platform that utilizes data generated in the city to collect and store and analyze, thereby enhancing the city's continuous competitiveness and resilience and enhancing the quality of life of citizens. However, existing smart city platforms are not enough to construct a platform for smart city as a platform for solution elements such as IoT platform, big data platform, and AI platform. To complement this, we will reanalyze the existing overseas smart city platform and IoT platform in a comprehensive manner, combine the technical elements applied to it, and apply it to the future Korean smart city platform. This paper aims to investigate the trends of smart city platforms used in domestic and foreign countries and analyze the technology applied to smart city to study smart city platforms that solve various problems of the city such as environment, energy, safety, traffic, environment.

    • Various types of games have been published in a smart phone game market. However, there are little serious simulation games among them. In this study, parking simulation game has been developed and published on the Apple app store and Android market, to analyze the usability and prospects of the smart phone based serious simulation game. Developed game was designed to give users realistic simulation experience with immersion in the smart phone environment. In case of Apple app store, more than 300 thousands download have been recorded. This means serious simulation games have much more potential for commercial value, even though there are constrains with small display and user interface.

    • O2O service contribute to sales increment by marketing of offline store using online. In particular, O2O business allowed various services by smart-phone due to rapid increase of mobile device use and various services depend on customer's location. This O2O service play major roll in real purchase making of offline store. In smart-phone apps. development for O2O service, recent an Object-oriented Analysis and Design Method, that is, UML is more useful method than Structured Analysis and Design Method. Therefore in this paper, Software analysis and design method which is smart-pone app. for O2O restaurant service is presented. Also it shows that this analysis/design method is very useful for the Restaurant O2O Commercial System production.

    • Smart-Phones are utilized in disaster management field because it can deliver disaster information to large population simultaneously and quickly, and provide accurate information through situation-based service using the LBS(Location Based Service). To study on the utilization of smart phone for disaster information collection and dissemination method, this study suggest a framework which connects smart phone by loading application for reporting disaster. The disaster monitoring and situation dissemination system framework using smart phone is composed of 4 parts. First, smart phone application enters image, video, voice and text information and location of the disaster. Second, the disaster report reception and situation dissemination server receives the information, save in the DB, and send through smart phone SMS. Third, store into disaster information database. Fourth, display the disaster report and management information on 2D GIS, support the decision making process in deciding whether to manage as disaster, and disaster management web service which disseminates situation.

    • This paper presents the development of application and management system for guiding job information based on android smart-phone. The real-time informations which are provided from the job portal site, become known by using the smart-phone, and the sever system for saving and managing the related informations has been implemented. Especially, the relay and synchronization protocol of job informations have been designed and the system for managing a transmitting and receiving information is also designed and modelled. The developed application has been made up for and registered in the application store for making good use.
