Recently, as a part of the production of spatial information by smart cities, three-dimensional reproduction of structures for reverse engineering has been attracting attention. In particular, terrestrial LiDAR is mainly used for 3D reproduction of structures, and 3D reproduction research by UAS has been actively conducted. However, both technologies produce blind spots due to the shooting angle. This study deals with vertical structures. 3D model implemented through SfM-based image analysis technology using UAS and reproducibility and effectiveness of 3D models by terrestrial LiDAR-based laser scanning are examined. In addition, two 3D models are merged and reviewed to complement the blind spot. For this purpose, UAS based image is acquired for artificial rock wall, VCP and check point are set through GNSS equipment and total station, and 3D model of structure is reproduced by using SfM based image analysis technology. In addition, Through 3D LiDAR scanning, the 3D point cloud of the structure was acquired, and the accuracy of reproduction and completeness of the 3D model based on the checkpoint were compared and reviewed with the UAS-based image analysis results. In particular, accuracy and realistic reproducibility were verified through a combination of point cloud constructed from UAS and terrestrial LiDAR. The results show that UAS - based image analysis is superior in accuracy and 3D model completeness and It is confirmed that accuracy improves with the combination of two methods. As a result of this study, it is expected that UAS and terrestrial LiDAR laser scanning combination can complement and reproduce precise three-dimensional model of vertical structure, so it can be effectively used for spatial information construction, safety diagnosis and maintenance management.
Agricultural risks are exacerbated by a variety of factors ranging from climatevariability and change, frequent natural disasters, uncertainties in yields and prices, weakrural infrastructure, imperfect markets and lack of financial services including limited spanand design of risk mitigation instruments such as credit and insurance. Indian agriculture has little more than half (53%) of its area still rainfed and this makes it highly sensitive to vagaries of climate causing unstable output. Besides adverse climatic factors, there are man-made disasters such as fire, sale of spurious seeds, adulteration of pesticides and fertilizers etc., and all these severely affect farmers through loss in production and farm income, and are beyond the control of farmers. Hence, crop insurance' is considered to be the promising tool to insulate the farmers from risks faced by them and to sustain them in the agri-business. This paper critically evaluates the performance of recent crop insurance scheme viz., Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bhima Yojana (PMFBY) and its comparative performance with earlier agricultural insurance schemes implemented in the country. It is heartening that, the comparative performance of PMFBY with earlier schemes revealed that, the Government has definitely taken a leap forward in covering more number of farmers and bringing more area under crop insurance with the execution of this new scheme and on this front, it deserves the appreciation in fulfilling the objective for bringing more number of farmers under insurance cover. The use of mobile based technology, reduced number of Crop Cutting Experiments (CCEs) and smart CCEs, digitization of land record and linking them to farmers' account for faster assessment/settlement of claims are some of the steps that contributed for effective implementation of this new crop insurance scheme. However, inadequate claim payments, errors in loss/yield assessment, delayed claim payment, no direct linkage between insurance companies and farmers are the major shortcomings of this scheme. This calls for revamping the crop insurance program in India from time to time in tune with the dynamic changes in climatic factors on one hand and to provide a safety-net for farmers to mitigate losses arising from climatic shocks on the other. The future research avenues include: insuring the revenue of the farmer (Price × Yield) as in USA and more and more tenant farmers should be brought under insurance by doling out discounts for group coverage of farmers like in Philippines where 20 per cent discount in premium is given for a group of 5-10 farmers, 30 per cent for a group of 10-20 and 40 per cent for a group of >20 farmers.
The IoT technology is a field that applies and converges the technologies in the existing industrial environment, instead of new technologies. The IoT technology is releasing various application services converged with other industries such as smart home, healthcare, construction, and automobile, and it is also possible to secure the work efficiency and convenience of users of IoT-based technologies. However, the security threats occurring in the IoT-based technology environment are succeeding to the vulnerability of the existing wireless network environment. And the occurrence of new and variant attacks in the combination with the ICT convergence environment, is causing damages. Thus, in the IoT technology-based environment, it would be necessary to have researches on the safe transmission of messages in the communication environment between user and device, and device and device. This thesis aims to design a safe communication protocol in the IoT-based technology environment. Regarding the suggested communication protocol, this thesis performed the safety analysis on the attack techniques occurring in the IoT technology-based environment. And through the performance evaluation of the existing PKI-based certificate issuance system and the suggested communication protocol, this thesis verified the high efficiency(about 23%) of communication procedure. Also, this thesis verified the reduced figure(about 65%) of the issued quantity of certificate compared to the existing issuance system and the certificate management technique.

The congestion of railway vehicle and station shows up to 220%. Especially, transfer resistance of passenger increase rapidly by the collision of circulation. So increment of travel time, occurrence of safety accidents act as a factor that inhibits the utilization of urban railway station. In this paper, to improve traveling speed and comfort of urban rail passengers, urban transit passenger guidance system using congestion management model is proposed. The congestion management model that can mitigate a recurring/non-recurring congestion is constructed and the preliminary design of the system (middleware system, control system, guidance drive system) is carried out. Passenger Guidance System is configured by step for changing the external data into a form usable by the algorithm, step to perform the congestion management algorithm using the real-time data and historical data, step to control device based on the value that is calculated by congestion management algorithm, step to drive the device based on the information in the control system and circulation guidance devices. In the future, detail design will be performed based on the preliminary design. A prototype of the various devices according to the station structures and locations will be made. The control module of guidance device will be developed.

As long span and complex bridges are constructed often recently, safety estimation became a big issue. Various types of measuring instruments are installed in case of long span bridge. New wireless technologies for long span bridges such as sending information through a gateway at the field or sending it through cables by signal processing the sensing data are applied these days. However, The case of occurred accidents related to bridge in the world have been reported that serious accidents occur due to lack of real-time proactive, intelligent action based on recognition accidents. To solve this problem in this study, the idea of "communication among things", which is the basic method of RFID/USN technology, is applied to the bridge monitoring system. A sensor node module for USN based intelligent bridge system in which sensor are utilized on the bridge and communicates interactively to prevent accidents when it captures the alert signals and urgent events, sends RF wireless signal to the nearest traffic signal to block the traffic and prevent massive accidents, is designed and tested by performing TinyOS based middleware design and sensor test free Space trans-receiving distance.
A supercapacitor, also called an ultracapacitor or an electrochemical capacitor, stores electrochemical energy by the adsorption/desorption of electrolytic ions or a fast and reversible redox reaction at the electrode surface, which is distinct from the chemical reaction of a battery. A supercapacitor features high specific power, high capacitance, almost infinite cyclability (~ 100,000 cycle), short charging time, good stability, low maintenance cost, and fast frequency response. Supercapacitors have been used in electronic devices to meet the requirements of rapid charging/discharging, such as for memory back-up, and uninterruptible power supply (UPS). Also, their use is being extended to transportation and large industry applications that require high power/energy density, such as for electric vehicles and power quality systems of smart grids. In power generation using intermittent power sources such as solar and wind, a supercapacitor is configured in the energy storage system together with a battery to compensate for the relatively slow charging/discharging time of the battery, to contribute to extending the lifecycle of the battery, and to improve the system power quality. This article provides a concise overview of the principles, mechanisms, and classification of energy storage of supercapacitors in accordance with the electrode materials. Also, it provides a review of the status of recent research and patent, product, and market trends in supercapacitor technology. There are many challenges to be solved to meet industrial demands such as for high voltage module technologies, high efficiency charging, safety, performance improvement, and competitive prices.

An unexpected event could be easily followed by a large secondary accident due to the limitation in sight of drivers in road tunnels. Therefore, a series of automated incident detection systems have been under operation, which, however, appear in very low detection rates due to very low image qualities on CCTVs in tunnels. In order to overcome that limit, deep learning based tunnel incident detection system was developed, which already showed high detection rates in November of 2017. However, since the object detection process could deal with only still images, moving direction and speed of moving vehicles could not be identified. Furthermore it was hard to detect stopping and reverse the status of moving vehicles. Therefore, apart from the object detection, an object tracking method has been introduced and combined with the detection algorithm to track the moving vehicles. Also, stopping-reverse discrimination algorithm was proposed, thereby implementing into the combined incident detection processes. Each performance on detection of stopping, reverse driving and fire incident state were evaluated with showing 100% detection rate. But the detection for 'person' object appears relatively low success rate to 78.5%. Nevertheless, it is believed that the enlarged richness of image big-data could dramatically enhance the detection capacity of the automatic incident detection system.
In recent years, the occurrence of life and violent crime in the city centered on crime-prone areas has become a big issue, raising the public interest in safety from crime has been higher than ever. As the initial response to crime and the importance of crime prevention are emerging, the government is preparing various measures such as crime prevention service using advanced technology. This project is a demonstration project to select specific target sites and apply that on a trial basis with the main purpose of commercialization of intelligent crime prevention technologies and services. In order to spread the business through the demonstration project, it is expected that the practical economic evaluation as well as the academic and practical value of the project will have a great significance. In this study, the purpose of this research is to derive economic feasibility through technologies and services to be implemented in Indokwon district of Anyang city, which is selected demonstration site of the intelligent security, to promote the spread of business and contribute to the policy activation.
In this study, a smart assistive device is designed to recognize pedestrian signal and to provide audio instructions for visually impaired people in crossing streets safely. Walking alone is one of the biggest challenges to the visually impaired and it deteriorates their life quality. The proposed device has a camera attached on a pair of glasses which can detect traffic lights, recognize pedestrian signals in real-time using a machine learning algorithm on GPU board and provide audio instructions to the user. For the portability, the dimension of the device is designed to be compact and light but with sufficient battery life. The embedded processor of device is wired to the small camera which is attached on a pair of glasses. Also, on inner part of the leg of the glasses, a bone-conduction speaker is installed which can give audio instructions without blocking external sounds for safety reason. The performance of the proposed device was validated with experiments and it showed 87.0% recall and 100% precision for detecting pedestrian green light, and 94.4% recall and 97.1% precision for detecting pedestrian red light.
