  • This research aims to analyze gamer's behavior pattern on 'Blade for Kakao' RPG genre based on smart-phone. Three subjects were recruited using the concurrent protocol method to conduct ten episodes in region 1. As a result, it derived four behavior patterns according to the combination of space type affordance and the arrangement affordance of obstacle(monster). The result of this research revealed the forward attack arranged for the fixed obstacles in the wide space, the indirect attack as avoid-type arranged for scattered obstacles in the same space, the hunting up attack once arranged for the crowded obstacles in the same space, and the pulling attack arranged for obstacles in the narrow space. Moreover, it revealed the character growth and the optimization of attack method according to the attribute affordance of the obstacle(monster). This research expect to offer the design guideline for game level design to investigate the relationship between the game play and affordance in RPG genre based on smart-phone.

  • The holding voltage of the high-voltage MOSFETs in snapback condition is much smaller than the power supply voltage. Such characteristics may cause the latcup-like problems in the Smart Power ICs if these devices are directly used in the ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) power clamp. In this work, a latchup-free design based on the Drain-Extended PMOS (DEPMOS) adopting gate VDD structure is proposed. The operation region of the proposed gate-VDD DEPMOS ESD power clamp is below the onset of the snapback to avoid the danger of latch-up. From the measurement on the devices fabricated using a $0.35\;{\mu}m$ BCD (Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS) Process (60V), it was observed that the proposed ESD power clamp can provide 500% higher ESD robustness per silicon area as compared to the conventional clamps with gate-driven LDMOS (lateral double-diffused MOS).

  • In order to reduce the download around the Smart UAV(SUAV) at Transition mode, flow control using synthetic jet has been performed. Many of the complex tilt rotor flow features are captured including the leading and trailing edge separation, and the large region of separated flow beneath the wing. Based on the results of part 1 of the present work, synthetic jet is located at 0.01c, $0.95c_{flap}$ and it is operated with the non-dimensional frequency of 0.5, 5 to control the leading edge and trailing edge separation. Consequently, download is substantially reduced compared to with no control case at transition mode using leading edge jet only. The present results show that the overall flight performance and stability of the SUAV can be remarkably improved by applying the active flow control strategy based on synthetic jet.

  • In order to reduce the download around the Smart UAV(SUAV) at hovering, flow control using synthetic jet has been performed. Many of the complex tilt rotor flow features are captured including the leading and trailing edge separation, and the large region of separated flow beneath the wing. In order to control the leading edge and trailing edge separation, synthetic jet is located at 0.01c, $0.3c_{flap}$, $0.95c_{flap}$. As non-dimensional frequency, the flow pattern is altered and the rate of drag reduction is changed. The results show that synthetic jets shorten the vortex period and decrease the vortex size by changing local flow structure. By using leading edge jet and trailing edge jet, download is efficiently reduced compared to no control case at hovering mode.

  • This study sought to develop clothing for a companion animal that can provide stable ECG measurements. A pattern for the smart clothing of a companion dog was manufactured using the replica method to select a location and method that best suited the stable measurement of ECG and improved the clothing's fitness. The smart clothing was developed as the following three types: strap type, top type, and combined top and vest type with a detachable wireless ECG monitor. The detection abilities of these were observed using the PQRST rate taken after ECG measurements while the three companion dogs were tested while resting and moving. The results revealed that apart from using an electrode, applying a gel pad is the most effective way to achieve stable ECG measurements, and the central chest region is more reliable than the left armpit for providing steady readings. The combined top and vest type showed the highest average ECG PQRST detection number, meaning that the ECG signal measurement was steady. These results may contribute to the measurement of ECG in smartwear for U-Healthcare to measure other biometric data of a companion dog.

  • The advent of the 4th Industrial Revolution due to the trigger of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data has caused many changes in society, culture, and industry. However, traditional markets in each region are not responding quickly to new distribution environments and consumer changes. In particular, in the case of traditional markets in Jeju, regional characteristics such as marketing strategies for tourists visiting Jeju have not been utilized. Therefore, this study proposes the establishment of a smart traditional market based on big data and artificial intelligence that utilizes the regional characteristics of Jeju. The research contents include customer profiling through visitor big data analysis, providing tourist movement results through traffic analysis, providing real-time popular product charts, and developing video-based fire and crime prevention functions.

  • Carbon neutrality in agriculture can be derived from systematic GHG reduction policies based on quantitative environmental impact analysis of GHG-emitting activities. This study is to explore how to advance the calculation of carbon emissions from agricultural activities to the detailed spatial level to a spatial Tier 3 level (Tier 2.5 level), methodologically beyond the Tier 2 approach. To estimate the GHG emissions beyond the Tier 2.5 level by region for detailed spatial units, we constructed available activity data on carbon emission impact factors such as rice cultivation, agricultural land use, and livestock. We also built and verified detailed data on emission activities at the field level through field surveys. The GHG emissions were estimated by applying the latest national emission factors and regional emission factors according to the IPCC 2019 GL based on the field-level activity data. This study has significance that it explored ways to build activity data and calculate GHG emissions through statistical data and field surveys based on parcels, one of the smallest spatial units for regional carbon reduction strategies. It is expected that by utilizing the activity data surveyed for each field and the emission factor considering the activity characteristics, it will be possible to improve the accuracy of GHG emission calculation and quantitatively evaluate the effect of applying reduction policies.

  • This study discusses the long-term deformation monitoring and shape sensing of bridge girder surfaces with an automated extraction scheme for point clouds in the Region Of Interest (ROI), invariant to the position of a Light Detection And Ranging system (LiDAR). Advanced smart construction necessitates continuous monitoring of the deformation and shape of bridge girders during the construction phase. An automated scheme is proposed for reconstructing geometric model of ROI in the presence of noisy non-stationary background. The proposed scheme involves (i) denoising irrelevant background point clouds using dimensions from the design model, (ii) extracting the outer boundaries of the bridge girder by transforming and processing the point cloud data in a two-dimensional image space, (iii) extracting topology of pre-defined targets using the modified Otsu method, (iv) registering the point clouds to a common reference frame or design coordinate using extracted predefined targets placed outside ROI, and (v) defining the bounding box in the point clouds using corresponding dimensional information of the bridge girder and abutments from the design model. The surface-fitted reconstructed geometric model in the ROI is superposed consistently over a long period to monitor bridge shape and derive deflection during the construction phase, which is highly correlated. The proposed scheme of combining 2D-3D with the design model overcomes the sensitivity of 3D point cloud registration to initial match, which often leads to a local extremum.

  • The existing geofences provide only context-awareness service for entering or leaving the set region when a user sets a virtual region for his/her PoI(Point of Interest). Applying the mobile-geofence technology to the connected car technology, which is attracting attention as a next generation technology, it is possible to provide application service without additional infrastructure construction cost However, to do this, we need to expand and improve the functions of traditional geofence. In this paper, we propose and implement a flexible mobile-geofence in which the radii of each geofence applied to vehicles is changed according to context-aware in order to support connected cars technology based on the previously studied mobile three-dimensional geofence system. The proposed flexible mobile-geofence shows experimentally that the region of the geofence is changed according to context-aware of itself and its surroundings after applying a flexible decision algorithm by the flexible factor analysis. In the future, we are expected that the flexible mobile-geofence proposed in this paper will be applied not only to connected-cars technology but also to the application technology of V2X(Vehicle to Everything) for safe and efficient vehicle operation.
