This study examines the properties of high-fluidity concrete after adding copper slag as a mineral admixture. For this purpose, the replacement ratio of cement to copper slag was varied to 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50%. A slump flow test, reach time slump flow of 500 mm, and a U-Box and O-lot test were conducted on the fresh concrete. The compressive strength of the hardened concrete was determined at 3, 7, 14 and 28 days. According to the test results, the workability, compaction, and compressive strength of the high-fluidity concrete increased when replacing 30% of the cement with copper slag. These parameters decreased for all material ages with more than 30% copper slag, which was the optimal mixture ratio.

Currently more high flow and high performance concrete is used for construction of buildings in the world. However, when high flow and high performance concrete put high performance water reducing agent in quantity to improve flow, it has a negative effect on concrete structures since segregation arises from it though flow will be improved. There are naked-eye observation, coarse aggregate washing test, L Flow test for permeation among reinforcing rods and measurement of viscosity to judge concrete segregation resistance. However, it is difficult to apply them to practical affairs since they are very complicated and troublesome. Therefore, the study analyzed EIS dividing slump flow value into slump value, how to valuate concrete segregation resistance more easily, on the basis of the existing reference materials to propose EIS. As the results, in the event of high flow concrete, it is desirable that EIS value is prescribed to be less than 2.5 at the time of managing segregation. Also, at the time of prescribing EIS with performance, it is judged that it is desirable to manage segregation as less than 2.2 (Grade 1), 2.2$\sim$2.4 (Grade 2) and more than 2.6 (Grade 3).
In this studies, methly celluloes was used as antiwashout admixture and when considering the physical properties and economical efficiencies of Underwater Concrete as the results of making an experiencing slump flow, flow loss, setting time, suspension and pH also compressive strength and underwater/an air compressive strength ratio according to the adding amount changes 5, 7, 9, 11 kg/$m^3$ to Underwater Concrete of melamine superplasticizer, the using amount of melamine superplasticizer in Underwater Concrete approximately represents 9 kg/$m^3$.

This study investigates the influence of various blending factors on cement paste fluidity and find out the most effective evaluation method of cement paste flow, comparing flow test apparatuses such as ring flow(R-F), flow cone(F-C) and mini slump(M-S). A viscometer also measures the rheology coefficients to secure faithful numerical data. Firstly, series I examines cement paste, affected by several cement products and mineral admixture types in the range of W/B 40%, ordinary fluidity, and W/B 30%, high fluidity. In this series, the three types of cement product depended on companies, are randomly used and the mineral admixture, such as fly ash, blast furnace slag and silica fume, are incorporated in the cement paste, in response to the ratio of 10, 20, to 30%, respectively. In addition, series II studies various chemical admixture types, affecting the cement paste. This series is carried out with manufacturing companies and component types in the range of W/C 30%, high fluidity. For the manufacturing companies, randomly four products are used and for the component types, polycaboxylate, melamine, naphthalene and lignosulfonate type are chosen. Test results showed that in the fluidity test of cement paste considering various types of blending factors, R-F exhibited similar tendency with F-C and M-S. In the analysis of consistency curves measured by viscometer, the fluidity evaluation method using flow test apparatuses was significantly effective, except for the some of the low fluidity specimens. In conclusion of this study, R-F was the most convenient, faithful and effective fluidity evaluation method of cement paste.

The workability of mortar determines its construction performance in a structure showing its designed resistance to external loads. Measuring the rheological properties of mortar is one way of quantifying its workability, but its field-applications are limited due to economical and spatial issues. The robustness of the slump flow test allows its use for evaluating the workability of mortar, even though it is a rather qualitative test method. This paper proposes a channel flow test and develops a correlation between its result and the rheological properties of mortar. The volume-of-fluid simulation for the channel flow test was accomplished, and a numerical database for the correlation was composed. A correlation model to estimate the rheological properties of mortar using the results of the channel flow test as inputs is proposed.

This paper discusses the estimation of construction cost of high fluidity concrete using segregation reducing type superplasicizer with 350kgf/cm2 of design strength and 60$\pm$5cm of slump flow in order to verify the cost down effect of high fluidity concrete compared with that of plain concrete with 350kgf/cm2 of design strength and 18cm of slump and with 210kgf/cm2 of design strength and 15cm of slump. According to research, under same strength levels, although material cost of high fluidity concrete is somewhat higher than that of plain concrete due to segregation reducing type superplasticizer, labor cost and equipment cost of high fluidity concrete is cheaper than that of plain concrete. However, based on the strength differences, high fluidity concrete shows lower material cost, labor cost and equipment cost than that of plain concrete due to decreasing in size of member and re-bar caused by high strength development of concrete.
The reology and several physical properties of cements are studied by varying the different mineral composition and particle size distribution(PSD) of cements with closed circuit ball mill for high workability, low heat of hydration, and high strength. In this study, we found that the workability of concretes is related to the viscosity of cement, and affects to strength. Here, this workability is affected by mineral composition (C3A) and the PSD. Especially, rosin-rammer index and 44${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ residue in the PSD of cements are affected to water demand, casting property, slump loss, strength of cements. From the above results, the conditions of cement for high workability, low heat of hydration and high strength are to use low C3A clinker, 5-10% slag addition, and to grind cement below 0.7 rosin-rammer index, above 3.5-4.5% 44 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ residue, 4000$\pm$100 $\textrm{cm}^2$/g blaine. Such cements are, therefore, supurior to super low heat cement and slag-blended cement in comparing the physical properties of strength, slump, slump-flow, adiabetic temperature, etc.

The purpose of this study is to examine the uses of fly ash asa type of construction material. This paper presents the results of research performed to identify optimum mix proportions for production of lowable fill with high volume fly ash content . The fly ash used in this study met the requirements of KS L 5405 and ASTM C 618 for Class F material. The flowable fill with high volume fly ash content was investigated for strength and flowability characteristics. Tests were carried out on flowable fill designed to have 10 ~15kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$ compressive strength at 28 days with fly ash contents of approximately 260kgf/㎥. Slump was held at 25$\pm$1cm for all mixtures produced to range from 5kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$ to 14kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$ compressive strengths at 28 days. To produce flowable fill with high volume fly ash , first the influential variables were identified in an experimental study based on factorial design. Among the proportioning variables investigated, cement ,fly ash, and sand contents were found to have statistically significant effect on strength and slump of flowable fill . Subsequently, response surface analysis techniques were used to devise an experimental program that helped determine the optimum combinations of the selected influential variables based on material properties and cost. The optimized flowable fill were then technically evaluated. It is shown that flowable fill has acceptable compressive strength , slump flow, hardening time, and permeability.

The G-class cement is usually used for geothermal well grouting to protect a steel casing which is equipped in a geothermal well to transfer geothermal water from deep subsurface to ground surface. In geothermal grouting process, obtaining appropriate fluidity is extremely important in order to fill cement grout flawlessly. In this paper, a series of the V-funnel and Slump Flow test was performed on both of the Portland cement and the G-class cement in order to compare fluidity and filling ability of those kind of cements. In the result of V-funnel test, the fluidity of G-class cement was evaluated much better than the Portland cement at the water/cement ratio of 0.8. In the case of Slump Flow test, the fluidity of G- class cement was estimated slightly better than the Portland cement at both the water/cement ratio of 0.55 and 0.8. Even though the initial fluidity and filling ability of G-class cement were relatively higher than the Portland cement, the results could be considerably changed with time. The results show that the fluidity and filling ability for geothermal well cementation can be properly controlled with water content and additives for adverse geothermal well environment.
