  • In recent years, the study of slice Dirac operators has attracted more and more attention in the literature. In this paper, Almansitype decompositions for null solutions to the iterated slice Dirac operator and the generalized slice Dirac operator are obtained without a star-like domain centered at the origin. As applications, we investigate Riquier type problems and Dirichlet type problems in the theory of slice monogenic functions.

  • Changes in apple slices during cold storage were investigated by evaluating the physical properties such as degree of browning and compression force. Chemical properties such as PPO activity and total phenol contents were also determined and sensory evaluation was carried out. The correlation analysis between browning parameters was conducted. Degree of browning was increased in the order of fresh apple slice, water-dipped apple slice, $0.5\%$ ascorbic acid solution-dipped apple slice and CP(caramelization product) from sucrose-dipped apple slice. PPO activity was increased in the order of fresh apple slice, water-dipped apple slice, $0.5\%$ ascorbic acid solution-dipped apple slice and CP(caramelization product) from sucrose-dipped apple slice. Amongst several treatments, CP from sucrose-dipped apple slice showed the lowest degree of browning and PPO activity. Total phenol contents were decreased from 60 to 56.2 mg and from 59.6 to 56.0 mg in fresh apple slice and water-dipped apple slice, respectively, but CP from sucrose-dipped apple slice and $0.5\%$ ascorbic acid solution-dipped apple slice were increased from 51.9 to 52.8 mg and from 54.1 to 54.4 mg, respectively, showing the smallest changes when compared with fresh apple slice and water-dipped apple slice. Compression forces of apple slices during cold storage were decreased in the order of fresh apple slice, water-dipped apple slice, $0.5\%$ ascorbic acid solution-dipped apple slice and CP from sucrose-dipped apple slice. In sensory evaluation of apple slices during cold storage, CP from sucrose-dipped apple slice had higher score than the other treatments. In addition, a significant correlation was observed among degree of browning, PPO activity and phenol content. Therefore, CP from sucrose-dipped apple slice seems to be effective in controlling of enzymatic browning during cold storage. In addition, CP from sucrose-dipped apple slice seems to be effective on other several factors. These results suggest that CP from sucrose should be a potential source for controlling enzymatic browning during storage of vegetables and fruits.

  • Purpose: To evaluate the effect of the slice thickness and the size of region of interest (ROI) on CT number using quantitative CT phantom Materials and Methods: The phantom containing 150 mg/cc, 75 mg/cc and 0 mg/cc calcium hydroxyapatite was scanned with 1, 3, 5 and 10 mm slice thicknesses by single energy quantitative computed tomography (QCT). CT numbers were measured on center position of the phantom. Shape of ROI was circular and sizes were 1, 3, 5, 11, 16, 21, 26 and 33 mm². ANOVA and Tukey's multiple comparison method were performed for statistical comparison of CT numbers according to different slice thicknesses. Coefficient of variation of CT number measured in each size of ROI was evaluated in same slice thickness. Results : CT numbers had statistically significant difference according to slice thicknesses (p<0.05). As the slice thickness increased, CT number also increased. As the density of phantom became lower and the size of ROI became smaller, the coefficient of variation of CT number increased. When the size of ROI was more than 11 mm² in 1 mm slice thickness, 5 mm² in 3 mm slice thickness and 3 mm² in 5 mm slice thickness, the coefficient of variation became consistent. In 10 mm slice thickness, the size of ROI had little effect on the coefficient of variation. Conclusion: CT number had variation according to the slice thickness and the size of ROI although the object was homogeneous. The slice thickness and the size of ROI are critical factors in precision of the CT number measurements.

  • In complex analysis, the Bergman kernels for two biholomorphically equivalent complex domains satisfy the transformation formula. Recently new Bergman theory of slice regular functions of the quaternion variables has been investigated. In this paper we construct the transformation formula of the slice Bergman kernels under slice biregular functions in the setting of the quaternion variables.

  • The purpose of this study was to assess the effects of reconstruction kernel, and slice thickness on the accuracy of spiral CT-based volume assessment over a range of object sizes typical of synthetic simulated tumor. Spiral CT scanning was performed at various reconstruction kernels (soft tissue, standard, bone), and slice thickness (1, 2, 3 mm) using a phantom made of gelatin and 10 synthetic simulated tumors of different sizes (diameter 3.0-12.0 mm). Three-dimensional volume assessments were obtained using an automated software tool. Results were compared with the reference volume by calculating the percentage error. Statistical analysis was performed using ANOVA and setting statistical significance at P < 0.05. In general, smaller slice thickness and larger sphere diameters produced more accurate volume assessment than larger slice thickness and smaller sphere diameter. The measured volumes were larger than the actual volumes by a common factor depending on slice thickness; in 100HU simulated tumors that had statistically significant, 1 mm slice thickness produced on average 27.41%, 2 mm slice thickness produced 45.61%, 3 mm slice thickness produced 93.36% overestimates of volume. However, there was no statistically significant difference in volume error for spiral CT scans taken with techniques where only reconstruction kernel was changed. These results supported that synthetic simulated tumor size, slice thickness were significant parameters in determining volume measurement errors. For an accurate volumetric measurement of an object, it is critical to select an appropriate slice thickness and to consider the size of an object.

  • In this paper, we analyze 5G network slicing and propose an efficient network slice configuration method in 5G mobile networks. Network slicing can be identified and performed based on the network slice instance information in 5G mobile networks. In case of discordance between the UE's network slice instance information and the network's one, the unnecessary signalling overhead occurs, when the UE's PDU Session Establishment request to the network fails. To solve this problem, this paper proposes two efficient network slice configuration methods, the UE-based ENSC(Efficient Network Slice Configuration) method and the Network-based ENSC method. The proposed schemes perform the prompt the configuration and provision of the updated network slice instance information between the UE and network and improve battery and resource efficiency and minimize unnecessary signalling overhead compared to existing methods in 5G mobile networks.

  • We develop the new data s]ice representation, called the data value flow graph(VFG), for modeling the information flow oil data slices. Then we define a slice complexity measure by using the existing flow complexity measure in order to measure the complexity of the information flow on VFG. We show relation of the slice complexity on a slice with the slice complexity on a procedure. We also demonstrate the measurement scale factors through a set of atomic modifications and a concatenation operator on VFG.

  • This paper compare the performance of S-MMA(Sliced-MultiModulus Algorithm) adaptive equalization algorithm by effect of slice weighting value for the minimization of the distortion and noise in the communication channel.. In the traditional MMA algorithm, the output signal of equalizer and the dispersion constant of transmitting signal is used for calculating the equalizer coefficient, but in S-MMA, the output of equalizer and dispersion constant and the considering the output of decision device by the power of slice constant are used in order to simultaneously compensate the distortion of amplitude and phase distortion. It is confirmed by computer simulation that the slice weighting value affects the performance of adaptive equalization algorithm. The performance index includes the output signal constellation, the residual isi and maximum distortion and MSE that is for the convergence characteristics, the SER according to the signal and noise power ratio at the channel is used. As a result of simulation, the residual isi, maximum distortion and MSE performances are better in the small weighting values. But in SER performance is better in the large weighting values.
