The purpose of this study was to suggest a standard design procedure of landfarming for clean-up of oil-contaminated soils. The standard design procedure consisted of four main phases; soil characterization, determination of contaminated soil volume, determination of nutrient and microbial doses, and estimation of the total remedial period. This study selected standard design parameter values or ranges among various forms used in environmental engineer communities. Those were determination procedures for the contaminated soil volume, the initial contamination concentration and nutrient doses. The suggested standard design procedure were applied for a landfarm design for remediation of a real oil-contaminated site. Soil texture of the site was classified as sandy clay loam and sandy loam. Total nitrogen and total phosphorus were estimated to be 57.01 mg/kg and 83.40 mg/kg, respectively. Also the viable bacterial numbers was assessed to be $1.78{\times}10^4CFU/g$ dry soil. The amount of TPH contaminated soil was estimated to be $4,092m^3$. With the application of remedial factors, it was estimated that the contaminated soil could be treated through 9 batches with a duration of 315 days for a landfarming unit of $15m{\times}40m{\times}1m$. The amount of liquid microorganisms and fertilizers were recommended to be 4,025L and 4,641kg, respectively.
From 1984 to 1989 reclaimed coastal lands in Choongnam Province of the western coast of Korea were studied for soil texture at three sites(Daeho, Hyundai A and Hyundai B) and for desalination one site(Hyundai B). The soil textures of varied sites in Hyundai A were horizontally similar and composed of 39-40% clay, 40-49% silt and 8-14% sand. But those in Da돼 and Hyundai B differed horizontally in the same area and vertically at the same site. Soil texures of Da돼 were composed of 15-17% clay, 30-45% silt and 40-55% sand and those of Hyundai B were composed of 22-45% clay, 26-49% silt and 17-31% sand. The measured electrical conductivity(EC), which represents whole salt content of the reclaimed soil, decreased year by year. The vertical distribution of the EC changed temporally and spatially in the upper zone above a 50 cm depth but not in The lower zone below a 50 cm depth. The EC valus of the soil were inversely proportional to the magnitued of annual precipitation, evaporation and the numbers of rainy days with r equalling -0.97. But the annual decrease of the EC was directly proportional to climatic factors with r=0.7. Salt in the reclaimed land was leached out by the percolative action of surplus rain water, or moved up by evaporation and carried away by running rain water. The running out of the salt on the soil surface was most efficiently carried out over 10 mm precipitation per day.
Since cultural eutrophication has the detrimental effects on estuarine and coastal ecosystems, recognition of early stage of nutrient over-enrichment is critical for effective managements of the ecosystems. Since released nutrients into coastal ecosystems are diluted and dissipated through tidal action and rapid uptakes by marine plants, monitoring of in situ nutrient concentrations may not be useful for detecting early eutrophication on coastal and estuarine ecosystems. To develop an effective indicator of cultural eutrophication using marine plants, tissue N content and area normalized leaf mass of eelgrass, Zostera marina were examined in Kosung Bay and Koje Bay on the south coast of Korea from June 2001 to April 2003. Eelgrass tissue N content exhibited obvious seasonal variations. Leaf N content was highest during winter and early spring and lowest during summer. Eelgrass tissue N content was higher at Kosung Bay site, which has higher sediment organic content, than at Koje Bay site. Area normalized leaf mass showed reverse trend of leaf N content, and consequently, eelgrass leaf N content and leaf mass exhibited strong negative correlation at both study sites. The results of the present study suggested that the ratio of eelgrass leaf N content to area normalized leaf mass can be applied to assess environmental nitrogen conditions on the coastal and estuarine ecosystems.

The objective is to recognize the better opportunities from targeted reveal advertising, to show a banner ad to the consumer of online who is most expected to obtain a preferred action like signing up for a newsletter or buying a product. Discovering the most excellent commercial impression, it means the chance to exhibit an advertisement to a consumer needs the capability to calculate the probability that the consumer who perceives the advertisement on the users browser will acquire an accomplishment, that is the consumer will convert. On the other hand, conversion possibility assessment is a demanding process since there is tremendous data growth across different information dimensions and the adaptation event occurs infrequently. Retailers and manufacturers extensively employ the retail services from internet as part of a multichannel distribution and promotion strategy. The rate at which web site visitors transfer to consumers is low for online retail, out coming in high customer acquisition expenses. Approximately 96 percent of web site users concluded exclusive of no shopper purchase[1].This category of conversion rate is collected from the advertising of social media sites and pages that dataset must be estimating and assessing with the concept of big data clustering, which is used to group the particular age group of people along with their behavior. This makes to identify the proper consumer of the production which leads to improve the profitability of the concern.
Wood vinegar is well known as a softening agent affecting on the stratum corneum that is easy to penetrate into the skin. In this study, we prepared mixed ursolic acid hydrogel with wood vinegar(1, 2, 5%) as a penetration enhancer. The accumulation of ursolic acid in the skin from hydrogels was evaluated in vitro hairless mouse skin and skin moisturizing effect of them was evaluated using the corneometer and the tewermeter. And the role of stratum corneum as a protective barrier was evaluated as well. The hydrogels were retained about 40% of water retention capacity 2hrs and had better effect on the stripped skin than full-thickness skin. The accumulation of ursolic acid through stripped skin from hydrogels with wood vinegar was not change compared to normal skin, which indicated the action site of wood vinegar and the accumulation site of ursolic acid would be stratum corneum. From these result, we could find wood vinegar seems to be a good enhancer for active materials with anti-wrinkle and anti aging effect such as ursolic acid, and can be a developed topical delivery system maintaining excellent water retention capacity.
In N-type $Ca^{2+}$ channels, the mechanism of inactivation - decline of inward current during a depolarizing voltage step- is still controversial between voltage-dependent inactivation and $Ca^{2+}$ -dependent inactivation. In the previous paper we demonstrated that fast component of inactivation of N-type calcium channels does not involve classic $Ca^{2+}$ -dependent mechanism and the slowly inactivating component could result from a $Ca^{2+}$ -dependent process. However, there should be signal transduction pathway which enhances inactivation no matter what the inactivation mechanism is. We have investigated the effect of phosphorylation on calcium channels of rat sympathetic neurons. Intracellular dialysis with the phosphatase inhibitors okadaic acid markedly enhanced the inactivation. The rapidly inactivating component is N-type calcium current, which is blocked by $\omega$-conotoxin GVIA. Staurosporine, a nonselective protein kinase inhibitor, prevented the action of okadaic acid, suggesting that protein phosphorylation is involved. More specifically lavendustin C, inhibitor of CaM kinase II, prevented the action of okadaic acid, suggesting that calmodulin dependent pathway is involved in inactivation process. It is not certain to this point whether phosphorylation process is inactivation itself. Molecular biological research regarding binding site should be followed to address the question of how the divalent cation binding site is related to phoshorylation process.
Strichartz and Richie have suggested that the mechanism of sodium donductance block of local anesthetics involves their interaction with a specific binding site within the sodium channel. However, there is evidence that local anesthetics can interact electrostatically with membrane proteins as well as membrane lipids. Whether or not all actions of local anesthetics are mediated by common site remains unclear. Thus, it can not be ruled out that local anesthetics concurrently interact with neuronal membrane lipids since sodium channels were found to be tightly associated with membrane lipids through covalent or noncovalent bonds. In summary, it is strongly postulated that local anesthetics, in addition to their direct interaction with sodium channels, concurrently interact with membrane lipids, fluidize the membrane, and thus induce conformational changes of sodium channels, which are known to be tightly associated with membrane lipids.
The purpose of this study is to investigate tendencies on land use in the housing site development district by grasping the characteristics of changes of building use at the borders of single-detached housing area for planning single-detached housing area in the future. It is divided the borders of detached housing areas into three types, educational facility, parks and green spaces, and apartment complex, and then analyzed the characteristics of each location after a field study. It is summarized as follows. First, there were stationery and flour-based meal stores in adjacent borders near educational facilities, suitable for students' interest and motion patterns, and it is required to consider about frequent children's action in the street. Second, there are many facilities for park users and residents, such as educational institutes and restaurants in adjacent to borders near parks. In borders neighboring buffer green belt areas, warehouses and vacant sites were mainly distributed. And the revitalization of streets was lower than others, because a road was used as a parking space. Third, there were realty dealers, food stores, and laundries which provide the dwellers with service in adjacent borders near multi-family housing.

The fabrication and experimentation of multi-channel electrodes which enable detecting and recording of multi-site neuronal signals have been investigated. A multi-channel electrode array was fabricated by depositing 2000${\AA}$ thick Au layer on the 1000${\AA}$ thick Ti adhesion layer on a glass wafer. The metal paths were patterned by wet etching and passivated by depositing a PECVD silicon nitride insulation layer to prevent signals from intermixing or cross-talking. After placing a thin slice of rat cerebellar granule cell in the culture ring located in central portion of the multi-channel electrode plate, a neuronal signal from an electrode which is in contact with the cerebellar granule cell has been detected. It was found that the electrode impedance ranges 200㏀∼1㏁ and the impedance is not changed by cleaning with nitric acid. Also, the impedance is inversely proportion to the exposed electrode area and the cross-talk is negligible when the electrode spacing is bigger than 600$\mu\textrm{m}$. The amplitude and frequency of the measured action potential were 38㎷ and 2㎑, which are typical values. From the experimental results, the fabricated multi-channel electrode array proved to be suitable for multi-site neuronal signal detection for the analysis of a complicated cell network.
