This paper introduces a new joint signed expansion method for computing simultaneous scalar multiplication on an elliptic curve and a modified binary algorithm for efficient use of the new expansion method. The proposed expansion method can be also be used in cryptosystems such as RSA and EIGamal cryptosystems.

FBG(Fiber Bragg grating)s have shown a great potential for sensing applications, and are easily embedded in materials with a negligible impact on the mechanical properties of the host. However, the use of FBG sensors is limited by their simultaneous dependence on strain and temperature, thus only one parameter can be determined from a single grating. This paper reviews various methods to discriminate between strain and temperature effects. To overcome this cross sensitivity using only embedded optical fibers, a number of techniques have been proposed, most of them relying on the deconvolution of two simultaneous measurements.

Simultaneous measuring system for permeability and resistivity of magnetic sheets is presented. In this system, the coil impedance is measured when a specimen is inserted between two coils. This system was applied to nickel sheets, iron-nickel alloys and a nickel film.

Vulcanized rubber containing three kinds of oligomeric resins such as cashew resin, t-octylphenol formaldehyde resin and terpene modified wood rosin has been characterized by simultaneous pyrolysis methylation-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (SPM-GC/MS). After methylation by the SPM method using tetramethylammonium hydroxide, the methylated pyrolyzates of the corresponding resins were detected with higher sensitivity than underivatized pyrolyzates without any interferences from other ingredients of vulcanized rubber.

Simultaneous enantioseparation of nine racemic non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) for their accurate chiral discrimination was achieved by cyclodextrin (CO) modified capillary electrophoresis in the normal polarity (NP) mode and in the reversed polarity (RP) mode. The NP mode employed neutral tri-O-methyl-${\beta}$-cyclodextrin (TM${\beta}$CD) as a selector dissolved in MES buffer (PH 6.0). (omitted)

In this paper, we shall consider some properties of the metric projection as a set valued mapping. For a set G in a metric space E, the mapping 𝜋_G; x → 𝜋_G(x) of E into 2^G is called set valued metric projection of E onto G. We investigated the properties related to the projection P_S(·)(·) and 𝜋_S(·)(·) as one-sided best simultaneous approximations.

The purpose of this paper is to show that a certain finite dimensional representation of the rational Cherednik algebra of type A has a basis consisting of simultaneous eigenvectors for the actions of a certain family of commuting elements, which are introduced in the author's previous paper. To this end, we introduce a combinatorial object, which is called a restricted arrangement of colored beads, and consider an action of the affine symmetric group on the set of the arrangements.

상수원이 오염되고 수돗물 수질을 불신함에 따라 이에 대한 방어적 지출로서 생수 및 정수기에 대한 지출이 늘어나고 있다. 이러한 두 가지 지출자료를 분석하기 위해서는 세 가지 중요한 측면을 고려해야 한다. 즉, 지출에 있어서 영의 자료가 많이 관측되며, 두 가지 지출이 서로 상호종속적일 수 있고, 또 내생적으로 함께 결정될 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이변량 토빗 연립방정식 분석을 통해 영의 관측치, 상호종속성, 내생성의 문제를 명시적으로 다루고자 한다. 1997년 서울에서 수집된 가구서베이 자료를 이용하여 두 가지 지출함수의 모수들을 추정한다. 분석결과, 두 지출간에 상호종속성이 발견되었으며, 한 가지 지출변수는 다른 지출함수에서 통계적으로 유의하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서 이용된 이변량 토빗 연립방정식 모형은 생수 및 정수기 소비지출 자료의 분석에 적합하다고 판단된다. 마지막으로 지출의 소득 탄력성 및 가구크기 탄력성 추정치도 제시한다.

Ojeok-san has been commonly used to treat low back pain disease. We performed the experiments on simultaneous analysis of 11 compounds and antioxidant effects of Ojeok-san. A HPLC method was established for simultaneous analysis of 11 compounds. The detection wavelengths were set at 230, 254, 280, 320, and 330 nm. The detected 11 compounds from Ojeok-san water extract showed good linearity($r^2{\geq}0.9997$). Limit of detection(LOD) and limit of quantification(LOQ) were 0.04-0.87 ${\mu}g/mL$ and 0.13-2.63 ${\mu}g/mL$, respectively. The antioxidant effects of Ojeok-san water extract were investigated by DPPH and ABTS assays. Ojeok-san water extract significantly increased the DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging effects in a dose-dependent manner. The $RC_{50}$ value of Ojeok-san on DPPH radical was 284.71 ${\mu}g/mL$ and that of ABTS radical was 96.16 ${\mu}g/mL$.
