The paper illustrates a possible application of control theory to an economic growth system. Simultaneous nonlinear system of differential equations has been modeled which is different from the traditional formulation, based on the theory of economic growth for a two-sector (dual) economy. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of the optimal control are derived directly from the Hamiltonian, and the optimal controls are also obtained by solving simultaneous equations. Obtaining the trajectories of the optimal control and state variables, however, should rely on the numerical procedures. Empirical application has been conducted for the case of the Korean economy as an illustration.

Two important sensitivity issues over shortest path problems have been discussed. One is the problem of updating shortest paths when nodes are added and when the lengths of some arcs are increased or decreased. The other is the problem of calculating arc tolerances, that is the maximum increase of decrease in the length of a single arc without changing a given optimal tree. In this paper, assuming that there exists a parameter of interest whose perturbation causes the simultaneous changes in arc lengths, we find the invariance condition on these simultaneous changes such that the shortest path between two specified nodes remains unchanged.

We give an analytic approach to the versal deformation of a resolution of a germ of normal isolated singularities. In this paper, we treat only formal deformation theory and it is applied to complete the CR-description of the simultaneous resolution of a cone eve. a rational curve of degree n in P$^{n}$ (n $\leq$ 4).

Talniflumate is a potent analgesic and anti-inflammatory drug widely prescribed in rheumatoid diseases. The purpose of this work was to develop and validate a specific and robust method for the simultaneous determination of talniflumate and its metabolite, niflumic acid, in human plasma. We consider a fault detection and isolation problem for inertial navigation systems which use redundant inertial sensors. We propose a FDI method using average of multiple parity vectors which reduce false alarm and wrong isolation, and improve correct isolation. We suggest the number of redundant sensors required to isolate simultaneous faults. The performance of the proposed FDI algorithm is analyzed by Monte-Carlo simulation.

A female child with unilateral midpalatal cleft was successfully treated by Wardill V-Y pushback palatal flap and superiorly based pharyngeal flap simultaneously. The advantages of this method are to prepare the favorable background of postoperative speech correction and additional nasal lining. We can try this simultaneous operation in delayed cleft palate repair.

In this paper, we propose the analysis method of the Double Circuit Simultaneous Fault. To improve the accuracy and the promptness of the coontingency analysis, we reformed the Peterson method and extended the Sherman-Morrison equation. We also used the table of trigono -metric factor of Jacobian matrix before the fault, to compute the inverse matrix needed in the loadflow calculation.

A new type of collinear antenna called short-ended coaxial slot-coupled strip array antenna is investigated theoretically. The antenna has an advantage of structural simplicity. The integral equations are derived for the proposed structure by use of the Fourier transform and mode expansion, and the simultaneous linear equations are obtained. The slot electric field and strip current are then obtained by solving the simultaneous linear equation. The effects of slot and strip number on the radiation efficienty, beamwidth and directivity gain are also presented.
