H/V-버스 병렬컴퓨터의 설계 및 성능 분석 (Design and Performance Analysis of the H/V-bus Parallel Computer)

  • The architecture of a MIMD-type parallel computer system is specified: a simulator is developed to support design and evaluation of systems based on the architecture: and conducted with the simulator to evaluate system performance. The horizontal/vertical-bus(H/V-bus) system architecture provides an NxN array of processing elements which communicate with each other through a network of N horizontal buses and N vertical buses. The simulator, written in SLAM II and FORTRAN, is designed to provide high-resolution in simulating the IPC mechanism. Parameters provide the user with independent control of system size, PE speed and IPC mechanism speed. Results generated by the simulator include execution times, PE utilizations, queue lengths, and other data. The simulator is used to study system performance when a partial differential equation is solved by parallel Gauss-Seidel method. For comparisons, the benchmark is also executed on a single-bus system simulator that is derived from the H/V-bus system simulator. The benchmark is also solved on a single PE to obtain data for computing speedups. An extensive analysis of results is presented.

  • This paper describes a conceptual model for the performance analysis simulator of a weapon launching system. The system performance analysis simulator is envisioned to provide an integrated analysis environment in which the system performance and operational effectiveness can be analyzed in more rapid and efficient way. The conceptual model for the simulator describes a referent independently of specific technology and implementation, and it can be used to transform the simulator requirements into the simulator system specifications.

  • In this paper a Hybrid Real Time HVDC Simulator fur both operator Training and Researching in the Cheju-Haenam HVDC System is proposed and its performance is studied by means of RTDS (Real Time Digital Simulator), EMTDC (Electro-Magnetic Transients system for DC), PSS/E (Power System Simulator for Engineering), and experienced scenarios. The objective of this paper is to represent the strategy in development for KEPCO's hybrid HVDC simulator for the Cheju-Haenam HVDC system. This simulator consists of two DC stations, DC cables, external digital/analog controllers, monitoring systems and control desk for education, and AC networks. Its suitability for operator's education is tested during startup/shutdown and normal state operations. Dynamic performances of it are also verified.

  • In the virtual environment, reality can be enhanced by offering the motion based on a motion simulator in harmony with visual and auditory modalities. In this research, the Stewart platform based motion simulator has been developed. This motion simulator is driven by the electric motors, and offers the slightly wider workspace compared to the commercial available simulators. In order to compensate for the limited range of the motion platform, the washout filters with fixed coefficients have been usually adopted. In this paper the new approach is proposed to tune the filter coefficients based on the fuzzy logic on the real-time basis. It is shown that performance with the variable filter coefficients is better than that with the fixed ones. The driving simulator based on the bicycle dynamics was developed by integrating the motion simulator and graphic system.

자동차 모의운전환경에서 Simulator Sickness의 예측 회귀모형 개발 (Development of Regression Models for Predicting Simulator Sickness in Driving Simulation)

  • This study proposed multiple linear regression models to predict those who can be easily infected simulator sickness(SS) in simulator or virtual reality environment. In this study, SSQ(Simulator Sickness Questionnaire) scores which are recently used for assessing SS, and RSSQ(Revised Simulator Sickness Questionnaire) scores are selected as dependent variables. Also ten dependent variables are used. The results are these models coefficient of determination(max $R^2=0.52$) is improved 18% more than Kolasinski's model($R^2=0.35$), and it became easy to predict with simple data. Accordingly, we can easily predict who will be apt to get into simulator sickness.

  • In this paper, we present results of this that design of the multi-layer VCO(Voltage Controlled Oscillator), which is composed of the resonation circuit and the oscillation circuit, using EM simulator and nonlinear RF circuit simulator. EM simulator is used for acquiring EM(Electromagnetic) characteristics of conductor pattern as well as designing multi-layer VCO, Acquired EM characteristics of the circuit pattern was used like real components at nonlinear RF circuit simulator. Finally VCO is simulated at nonlinear RF circuit simulator. The material for the circuit pattern was Ag and the dielectric was DuPont #9599, which is applied for L TCC process. The structure is constructed with 4 conducting layer. Simulated results showed that the output level was about 1[dBm], the phase noise was 102 [dBc/Hz] at 30[kHz] offset frequency, the harmonics -8dBc, and the control voltage sensitivity of 30[MHz/V] with a DC current consumption of l0[mA]

  • 본 연구는 자동차 시뮬레이터에서 필연적으로 발생하는 Sickness와 생리신호 간의 관련성에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 Driving Simulator에서 중추신경계의 EEG 생리신호를 측정하고 이의 정량적 분석을 통하여 Simulator Sickness가 생리신호에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. 중추신경계의 뇌파반응은 주행시간의 경과에 따른 특정 경향은 나타나지 않았으나 안정에 비해 delta파, theta파의 증가와 alpha파의 감소경향이 나타났다. 단, theta파는 초기 5분에 증가한 수치가 시간이 지남에 따라 그 비율이 일정하게 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 Sick그룹과 Non-Sick그룹 및 남녀그룹의 비교결과에 대한 유의한 차이가 인정되었다.

  • In this work, the digital simulator for testing of digital protective relay is presented. The proposed simulator software has EMTP simulation data file conversion, sequence waveform generation, user define simulation data generation, communication engine, data analysis engine and measurements function etc. The simulator hardware is designed using 32bit floating point DSP architecture to achieve flexibility and high speed operation. This simulator is tested to evaluate the performance of relay simulator by using a output data of simulation model on EMTP.

  • Ship manoeuvring simulator has been widely utilized for training mariners, for assessing safety, for developing harbour and port, and for designing ships. We discuss a ship manoeuvring simulator which has been newly developed by Korea Maritime University. The simulator consists of simulator bridge and control console. All the computers used in the simulator are connected with one another by UDP or TCP network system. All the instruments are connected with interface computer by signal line which is controlled by RS232 communication protocol, or by voltage controlled A/D board. Next the mathematical model of ship manoeuvring motion in harbour areas, and ship and terrain modeling technique are also briefly discussed. Finally using the simulator an experiment of distance cognition and a simulation example of berthing/deberthing manoeuvre are shown.

  • Many manufacturing industries need more efficient organization since the customer expects a greater response to orders Due to this increased expectation, a supply chain management (SCM) has become one of the most important methods of competitive advantage in business today. This study has developed a simulator for the supply chain management problem. The simulator designed to help determine considering to the capacities and the costs of production and distribution facilities. The simulator developed using commercial simulation tool ARENA and the results of computational experiments for a simple example were given and discussed to validate the developed simulator. The simulator can be used to decide an realistic production-distribution planning in the area.
