We proposed an integrated simulator scheme for communication networks. The network modeling and Analysis methologies are firstly discussed along the design procedure of a network simulator, and then, the structure, kernel, and user interfaces are defined for the simulator. Finally, for the verification of our approach, simulations are performed for a simple queueing network and a pure ALOHA system using Ptolemy, a multi-paradigm simulation enviroment.

This paper presents the optimum design of reinforced concrete conical shell which is fixed at the base and free at the top. The calculation of stresses is done using the SMAP(Segmented Matrix Analysis Package)program which uses the simple finite element method of analysis. The objective function contains the ratios of the unit cost of reinforcements and formwork to that of concrete. To Simplify the optimization procedure, the final optimum design of conical shell is obtained by combining the result of each element. The results are presented and discussed.

In this paper, the stability requirements for diagrid and mega braced structures are examined. The role of the secondary bracing system for the stability of a diagrid structure is discussed. A simple procedure is proposed for the design of the secondary bracing system when it is required. As a case study, the design of the Hearst Tower diagrid and its secondary bracing system are presented.

Microanalysis of rodenticide by visible absorption method was attempted. The following procedure was found to be very simple and to give accurate results. RH-28787 was added to dimethylformamide (DMF), and extracted after stirring for about 20 minutes in extractor $(30^{\circ}C)$. After extraction, the absorbance of DMF solution, was measured at 346 nm by using spectrophotometer. The result agrees closely with the experimentally determined value by means of the gas chromatograph.

We are concerned in the estimation of lifetime distribution of a component having a few observed failure data and we demonstrate that we can use the maximum likelihood estimation utilizing the censored data when the number of components in use is quite large. Weibull distribution is assumed for the lifetime and a simple estimation procedure is introduced. We also propose the method of determining the optimal number of spares required for a specified period without introducing cost functions. The proposed methods are applied to the photon stop and the water-cooled flange which are major components in Pohang Light Source.

The problem of parameter identification for multivariable stochastic linear systems from output measurements, which are corrupted by noises, is considered. A modified Luenberger's input/output canonical form is used for reducing the number of unknown coefficients. A computationally and conceptionally simple systematic procedure for parameter estimation is obtained using output correlation method. The estimates are shown to be asymptotically normal, unbiased and consistent. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the identification method.

In this paper, we introduce a fuzzy nonlinear feedback approach to the control of a class of chaotic dynamical systems. The fuzzy Parallel Distributed Compensation with Reduced Rule Base approach (PDC_RRB) is proposed. The design procedure is conceptually simple and considered to a nonlinear optimal and robust control problem due to the nonlinear nature of the Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy system. Simulation results are provided to show the effictiveness of the proposed methodology.

This bridge was planed to be located in Geuk-rak river at south of Kwangju city. And it is very important to emphasis the beauty of bridge appearance. So Ive adopted unbraced tube arch type those linear beauty is elegance and simple. Actually, foreign bridges similar to this won various prizes for excellence of design. But there is no similar precedent in domestic highway bridge. therefore we intended to certify the security of this bridge through computational analysis. In this paper, approximate introduction of this bridge, design procedure and principal examination item is mentioned.

This paper describes a simple and efficient method involving domino Knovenegal/$6{\pi}$ electrocyclization for the preparation of a variety of 2H-pyrans using microwave irradiation under solvent- and catalyst-free conditions. This method offers the advantages of a green approach, high yields, and short reaction times. Sixteen compounds (9a-p) were obtained in good to excellent yields using the procedure.
