  • This paper considers a global asymptotic output tracking problem with a prescribed constant reference signal for a class of single-input and single output-output nonlinear systems. It is shown that under some mild conditions on such a system there is a smooth output feedback achieving global asymptotic output tracking and such a smooth output controller is explicitly constructed by a new design method proposed. The usefulness of our result is illustrated by a numerical example.

  • This paper describes the algorithm for more fast tracking by compensation of the staring angle of antenna to receive the satellite signal changed by the mobile vehicle direction. The staring angle is compensated by signal processing from the electronic compass which is called VECTOR2X, and a left-right tracking method. Especially, when mobile vehicle is turning with high speed, it is observed a result which has more fast tracking time by using angle tracking technique compensated by electronic compass than one by only left right tracking method.

  • This paper presents the development of a satellite antenna tracking control system using a plane antenna for mobile DAB(Digital Audio Broadcasting) reception. To track more rapidly in the antenna of this system, this simple tracking system only tracks a direction of azimuth using pendulum in the direction of elevation. This system should track using the AGC(Automatic Gain Control) of the signal level which can receive DAB in spite of the changing of point and movement of the mobile. The directional gyro sensor is attached to solve the delay time in the Proposed tracking algorithm. The effectiveness of both the stabilization and tracking algorithm is demonstrated through experiment measuring AGC signal level. The implemented satellite antenna tracking control system is shown to be excellent for mobile DAB reception.

  • In this paper, we investigate how to track illegal drones by using communication signal received from illegal drones, which is a promising candidate position tracking scheme for anti-drone systems, and is particularly effective in tracking small illegal drones in urban areas. We propose an enhanced tracking scheme using multiple antennas to improve the performance of tracking by reducing the error of position tracking. In the proposed tracking scheme, a tracker is equipped with four receive antennas that are evenly spaced 90 degrees apart, and received signal strength indicators (RSSIs) received by four receive antennas are pre-averaged before being used to calculate the distance between tracker and target. Our numerical results show that the proposed scheme outperforms the conventional scheme in terms of accuracy.

  • In this paper, an efficient signal tracking method to simultaneously track both GPS L1 C/A and Galileo E1B CBOC(6,1,1/11) using a low cost GPU is proposed. In the existing method that each GNSS signal is processed within 1 ms, more than 2 ms processing time is required in GPU to process 4 ms CBOC signal. It means that real time operation is possible if only Galileo E1B CBOC signal is concerned. But when both GPS C/A and Galileo CBOC is required, it cannot process GPS C/A signal in real time. To process 1 ms GPS C/A and 4 ms Galileo CBOC signal in real time, 4 ms Galileo CBOC signal is divided into 4 by 1 ms signal block in the proposed method. Specially, a buffer that simultaneously manages 1 ms and 4 ms signals is designed. In addition, a module that accumulates the 1 ms correlation value of the Galileo CBOC by 4 ms and passes it to the PLL and DLL is implemented. The operation and performance are evaluated with real measurements in the GPU based SDR. The experimental results show that tracking of more than 16 satellites of GPS C/A and Galileo E1B is possible using the proposed method.

  • Binary Offset Carrier (BOC) signal planned for future Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) provided better positioning accuracy and smaller multipath error than GPS C/A signal. However, due to the multiple side peaks in the auto-correlation function (ACF) of the BOC modulated signals, a receiver may false lock onto one of the side peaks in the tracking mode. This false lock would then result in a fatal tracking error. In this paper, we propose an unambiguous tracking method for composite BOC (CBOC) signals to mitigate this problem. It aims to reduce the side peaks of the ACF of CBOC modulated signals. It is based on the combination of traditional CBOC correlation function (CF) and reference CF of unmodulated pseudo- random noise code (PRN code). First, we present that cross-correlation function (CCF) with unmodulated PRN code is close to the secondary peaks of the traditional CBOC. Then, we obtain an unambiguous correlation function by subtracting traditional CBOC ACF from these CFs. Finally, the tracking performance for the CBOC signals is examined, and it is shown that the proposed method has better performance than the traditional unambiguous tracking method in additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel.

  • The GPS tracking loop consists of three parts in general: discriminator, loop filter and DCO (Digitally Controlled Oscillator). The loop filter is the main part of the tracking loop designed to ensure a good tracking performance. Generally, the loop filter is designed using classical PI(Proportional Integral) control. Although the carrier Doppler and code Doppler are generated by the same relative movement between the satellite and the user, often, the loop filters for each tracking loop are designed separately and independently. Sometimes, they are used in a combined manner such as carrier aided code tracking, FLL assisted PLL, etc. For better GPS signal tracking, we need to design the FLL/PLL/DLL altogether optimally. The purpose of this paper is to design a GPS receiver tracking loop based on the Kalman filter in a combined manner. Also, the proposed GPS receiver tracking loop is compared with a conventional tracking loop in terms of the transfer function and the DCO input. This paper shows that conventional tracking loop is equal to the Kalman filter based tracking loop.

  • In this paper, we developed bio-signal based eye tracking system using electrooculogram (EOG) and electromyogram (EMG) which measured simultaneously from same electrodes. In this system, eye gazing position can be estimated using EOG signal and we can use EMG signal at the same time for additional command control interface. For EOG signal processing, PLA algorithms are applied to reduce processing complexity but still it can guarantee less than 0.2 seconds of reaction delay time. Also, we developed dual machine learning structure and it showed robust and enhanced tracking performances. Compare to conventional EOG based eye tracking system, developed system requires relatively light hardware system specification with only two skin contact electrodes on both sides of temples and it has advantages on application to mobile equipments or wearable devices. Developed system can provide a different UX for consumers and especially it would be helpful to disabled persons with application to orthotics for those of quadriplegia or communication tools for those of intellectual disabilities.

  • The airborne tracking radar is located in front of aircraft or missile and measures and tracks a target motion. The signal processor receives target signals from a receiver using A/D converters, and calculates the target motion, and transfers the data to the aircraft or missile control unit. Since the signal processing system is required to be lightweight and small size as well as high performance to calculate and analyze the received signal, we use high speed DSPs and SMD type components having low power consumption. In this paper, we describe the design concept of signal processing system of the airborne tracking radar.

  • Recently, location based service(LBS) expended based on personal specialized service, however since commercialized GPS based emergency rescue service comes with shadow zone for GPS signal such as inside building, the accuracy and reliability are not guaranteed. Therefore to improve such problem, we propose an active location detecting algorithm using RFID-TAG and Yagiantenna. To track the location of RFID-TAG where signal is generated, location tracking device in which Yagi-Antenna is installed moves around. Since directed wave and reflected wave co-exist during signal reception, final signal generated location is searched by setting up multiple of locations where signal can be generated on the map and moving location tracking device along minimum length of path. The algorithm proposed in this paper was verified of its technical validity through simulator.
