Hamlet (PI549276) possessing 2RL was obtained by cross between a wheat cultivar ND7532 (Froid/Centurk) and a rye cultivar Chaupon. Chaupon was known to have resistant gene to biotype L of Hessian fly [Mayetiola destructor (Say)] larvae. The wheat-rye translocation line (Coker797*4/Hamlet) was also known to be resistant to biotype L of Hessian fly larvae. We analysed a set of 96 ESTs from the wheat-rye translocation line (2BS/2RL). ESTs were classified by various physiological processings, such as primary metabolism, secondary metabolism, transcription, translation, transport, signal transduction, defense, transposable element, and others. Three sequences encoding thioredoxin peroxidase, 26S rRNA, and rubisco small subunits were homologous to registered genes in rye. Although limited number of clones were used to develop ESTs, these clones and their sequence information may be useful for researchers studying general physiology and molecular biology on the translocation line.

Overproduction of intracellular ${\beta}$-glucosidase was attempted by modifying the promoter region of a ${\beta}$-glucosidase gene cloned from Cellulomonas fimi and expressing it in Bacillus subtilis DB 104. A strong engineered promoter, BJ27UΔ88, was fused to the ${\beta}$-glucosidase gene after removing its native promoter. An effective Shine-Dalgamo sequence (genel0 of phage T7) was inserted between the promoter and the ${\beta}$-glucosidase structural gene. The modified gene was overexpressed in B. subtilis and produced 1121.5 units of ${\beta}$-glucosidase per mg protein which is about $12\%$ of total intracellular protein. Secretion of overproduced intracellular ${\beta}$-glucosidase was attempted by using the signal sequence of the Bacillus endoglucanase gene as well as an in-frame hybrid protein of endoglucanase. The hybrid protein was normally secreted into the culture medium and still retained ${\beta}$-glucosidase activity.

This paper describes a low-density parity-check (LDPC) coded index modulated orthogonal frequency division multiplexing with quasi-orthogonal sequence (IM-OFDM-QOS) and provides performance evaluations of the proposed system. By using QOS as the spreading code, IM-OFDM-QOS scheme can improve the reception performance than IM-OFDM-SS scheme for a given data rate. On the other hand, LDPC code is widely used to the latest wireless communication systems as forward error correction (FEC) scheme and has Shannon-limit approaching performance. Therefore, by applying LDPC code to IM-OFDM-QOS system as FEC scheme, the reception performance can be further improved. Simulation results show that significant signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) gains can be obtained for LDPC coded IM-OFDM-QOS system compared to the LDPC coded IM-OFDM-SS system and the SNR gain increases with the higher code rate.

A cDNA clone for the olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) transferrin receptor (fTfR) was isolated from a leukocytes cDNA library. The fTfR gene consisted of 2,319 bp encoding 773 amino acid residues. The amino acid sequence alignment of the fTfR showed that their size and hydrophobic profile are similar. In addition, the Tyr-Thr-Arg-Phe (YTRF) motif that is the recognition signal for high-efficiency endocytosis, is conserved very well. This motif is important for functional properties of TfR. The deduced amino acid sequence had $42.4-42.9\%$ identities with the previously reported TfRs of vertebrates. The fTfR was expressed in the blood, kidney, spleen, and liver of healthy olive flounder by the Northern blot hybridization.

In this paper, we propose a new smart ordering application system for granting the customer numbers. The proposed system assigns sequence number of customers who visit at offline store as using speaker and microphone of smart device. This system has more advantage than the existing ordering system. Because the proposed system does not need any customer information like as phone number or SNS ID, it can protect customer privacy information. In this system, we use high frequency which is inaudible to the human ear as communication signal between speaker and microphone. To confirm performance evaluation, we perform a test with ten smart devices like as iPhone 6, 7, 8, Galaxy s8 and the result shown a success rate of 98.7 percent. Therefore, the proposed system can be useful service technology at the various offline store which need to assign a sequence number for customers, because many customers visit at the store.

Assessing the condition of air insulation by measuring electromagnetic wave generated in it by partial discharges gives warning of developing faults and breakdown which may give some bad effects to other thing concerned with it. Electromagnetic wave are taken from UHF antenna with 20k ~ 2GHz frequency range. The signal waveform and FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) results from UHF antenna for PD(partial discharge) generated from two different electrode(needle-plane, needle-needle) configurations are shown and it is processed by using PRPD($\Phi-q-n$ distribution) method. Cumulative pulse sequence during 100 period is compared with PRPD method. This also will show the possibility of making apparent distinction between two PD sources.

This paper analyzes matched-filter acquistion performance of a direct-sequence spread-specturm multiple-access system in a Rayleigh fading channel. For an application of multiple access system, multiple access interference is considered in the performance analysis. A signal flow graph technique is used to derive mean acquisition time in terms of detection and false alarm probabilities. As aresult of performance analysis, it is shown that mean acquisition time increases as fading rate becomes faster andthe numbre of users increases, and it decreases as a matched-filter length becomes logner. The variation of parameter values hs much influence on acquisition performance as SNR/chip becomes smaller.

본 논문에서는 초광대역 통신시스템의 확산코드 정합필터링 방식이 서로 다른 다중 접속 방식에 따라 다중사용자 간섭신호의 전력 파라미터에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가에 대하여 개시한다. 보다 구체적으로, 다중 접속 시스템에 사용되는 확산코드 정합필터의 길이가 다중사용자 간섭신호의 평균전력, 최대전력, 그리고 최대전력 대 평균전력 비율에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 간단화된 환경에 대하여 이론적 분석을 수행하였고, 모의실험을 통하여 이를 검증하였다.

본 논문에서는 GMW 수열과 No 수열에 의해 생성된 이진수열을 확장하여 새로운 형태의 수열을 소개한다. 그리고 확장된 수열의 상관계수를 분석하고 르장드르 수열로부터 생성되는 확장수열을 제시한다. 이는 암호 시스템 및 통신 시스템에 도움이 되며 특히 CDMA 시스템 신호 디자인에 유용한 연구이다.

Melanin concentrating hormone (MCH) regulating color change of fish skin was identified from brain cDNA library of Olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) during the analysis of Expressed Sequence Tags (ESTs). Olive flounder MCH gene consisted of 598 nucleotides encoding 150 amino acids. Olive flounder MCH protein revealed to contain signal peptide of 19 amino acid residues, pro-MCH of 131 amino acids being processed to biologically active and mature form of hormone with 25 amino acid residues at the carboxyl terminus. A comparative structural analysis revealed that Olive flounder MCH precursor had low sequence identity with other fish species and mammalian counterparts, while the amino acid sequences of mature hormone had a relatively high identity and more conserved. RT-PCR analysis revealed that olive flounder MCH precersor gene was expressed spectically only in the brain and not in other tissues.
