In order to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage in the expanding maritime transportation market, most shipping companies are making every effort to reduce transportation costs. Likewise, the car shipping companies, which carry more than 80% of total car import and export logistics volume, also do their utmost for transportation cost saving. Until now many researches have been made for efficient maritime transportation, but studies for car shipping companies have rarely been made. For this reason, this study has tried to develop a maritime transportation planning support system which can help to save logistics costs and increase a competitive power of car shipping companies. To this end, instead of manual effort to solve the routing problem of car carrier vessels, this study has used an integer programming model to make an optimal transportation planning at the minimum cost. Also in response to the frequent changes both in the car production schedule and ship's arrival schedule after the completion of transportation planning, this research has developed a decision support system of maritime transportation, so that users can easily modify their existing plans.

In order to reduce packaging and logistics costs for any business, it is important to identify opportunities for improvement throughout an entire logistics system including measurement of the performance and cost of packaging. Although the importance of packaging in a supply chain has been recognized by many scholars and experts, the total cost and value of packaging have not been successfully estimated. This paper reviews the recent researches and articles that tried to quantify the value of packaging focusing on the business decision between reusable and expendable shipping container systems. Three key factors such as cost, ownership, and standardization are identified and discussed in terms of impact on supply chain costs and performances. It is important to understand that the decision of a package system can change a logistics activities and even entire logistical system. Hence, the total cost and value of transport packaging should be calculated with understanding of interactions with logistical activities throughout supply chain. Identifying the opportunities and constraints of packaging changes on total logistics cost and activities must be carefully examined before implementation of a packaging system.

최근 남북한 경제교류 증대, 개성공단의 급속한 발전 등에 따라 남북한 물류도 급속히 증가하고 있어 기존의 육상 수송뿐만이 아니라 다양한 형태의 수송로 확보가 필요한 실정이다. 한편 유럽 및 미국 등에서는 항만 및 적하역 시설의 이용이 용이하며 초기 투자비용이 저렴한 바아지시스템이 화물 수송에 널리 이용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 먼저 바아지시스템을 활용한 인천-개성(공단) 항로의 사회적, 경제적 타당성에 대하여 검토한다. 또한 인천-개성(공단)간 바아지 후보 항로를 제시하고 시험운항, 실해역 조사 및 현장 답사 등을 통하여 바아지 운항에 대한 기술적 타당성을 검토한다. 마지막으로 인천-개성(공단)간의 최적 항로와 바아지시스템을 제안한다.

Since 1996, the document exchange method by EDI has been introduced in port and logistics industries in Korea to enhance the declaration activities to the Pusan Port Authority and Customs. In spite of these efforts, users such as shipping companies, shipping agents, and freight forwarders have complained the inconvenience of using EDI systems. The major reasons can be summarized as follows: repetitional EDI transfer, too much transfer time, inconvenient EDI software, and problems on message receiving confirmation. Furthermore, EDI has been used only for transmitting messages. To solve these problems, this study has adopted the integration system by applying the concept of SCM to logistics system by XML/EDl. In the view of SCM, the existing EDI has some problems because its role is only to transmit the messages. This paper is to suggest how current EDI systems in Port and logistics sector has to be chanced by Introducing SCM. The integration system gives us such advantages as accuracy of cargo data, integration of processes among firms, and keeping the trace of cargo.

Historically shipping conference has enjoyed antitrust immunity in consideration of the importance of liner service in international trade in that it is essential to ensure stable movement of international freight. However, shipping deregulation which has been carried out for last decades in the US and EU has caused significant changes to the liner shipping market. In fact, most of shipping conferences have broken up or transformed as discussion agreement since shipping regulatory reform. However, on the other hands, it is also true that it has contributed to developmore efficient and responsive negotiating process that are better tailored to the needs of individual shippers.

적정 규모의 컨테이너선박을 선택하여 노선에 투입시키는 것은 선사의 경쟁력 측면에서 큰 부분을 차지하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 대형 정기선사 운영노선에서의 최적 선형을 도출하고자 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 먼저 선사들의 주 간선노선인 '유럽-극동', '극동 북미', '유럽 극동 북-미' 노선을 대상으로 선박 운항시 발생되는 자본비, 운영비, 항해비, 항만비, 기타비용에 의한 총 운항비용을 산출하며, 산출된 총 운항 비용과 선형별 Slot수 및 평균 처리물동량을 이용하여 노선별 최적선형을 도출한다.

글로벌 해운물류에서 계속적으로 이동하는 화물의 위치 정보를 추적하고 관리하는 것은 물류주체에게 중요한 일이다. 화물에 부착된 태그의 GPS 좌표 흐름을 분석하면 물류거점을 기반으로 한 화물의 위치정보를 쉽게 추적할 수 있다. 즉, 태그와 물류거점간의 동적인 위치변화를 이용하여 거점 단위의 위치 이동을 추적할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 전세계 물류거점을 대상으로 이러한 거점 단위 위치추적 알고리즘의 정확성과 오동작을 측정하기 위해 시뮬레이션 시스템을 개발하였다. 실제 태그를 제작하여 실험하기에는 많은 제약이 따르기 때문에 실제 태그와 유사하게 동작하는 태그 에뮬레이터를 개발하여 가상 태그를 생성한다. 실제 태그와 같은 통신 프로토콜을 이용하여 위치추적 시스템에 데이터를 전송함으로써 위치추적 시스템이 잘 동작함을 보인다.

최근 아시아의 물류산업은 중국경제의 급부상과 함께 빠른 속도로 성장하고 있으며, 전 세계적으로 물동량이 계속적으로 증가하고 있는 상황에서 물류비용 절감을 위하여 다양한 연구가 활발히 수행중이다. 근해운송시스템은 연안해운을 중심으로 두 가지 이상의 수송연계 수단을 효율적으로 이용하여, 국제간 고부가 가치 물류 시스템을 창출하는 시스템으로써 유럽에서 상당한 성과를 올리고 있다. 따라서 우리나라에 알맞은 근해운송시스템을 도입하기 위해서는 효율적인 선박, 항만, 컨테이너 하역 및 운송 장비, 터미널 운영 및 관리시스템 기술, 화물정보 추적 및 통신 분야의 요소 기술 개발이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 현 단계의 요소기술 현황을 살펴보고, 앞으로 나아가야 할 공학적 기술에 대한 시사점을 제시하고자 한다.

본 연구는 전통적인 오프라인 기업인 항만물류기업이 온라인 영업활동을 도입함으로써 얻을 수 있는 대표적인 기대효익 요인과 마케팅믹스 및 글로벌 경쟁력간의 관계를 분석한다. 대표적인 기대효익 요인으로 신뢰증진, 정보입수, 오프라인 제약 등 세 가지 요인들이 추출되었다. 실증적으로 추출된 이 세 가지의 온-오프라인 시너지 효익요인들이 해당 항만물류기업의 마케팅믹스와 글로벌 경쟁력을 얼마나 향상시키는가를 분석하였다. 구조방정식모형을 이용한 분석 결과, 기대효익 요인들은 해당기업의 마케팅믹스 요인에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 마케팅믹스 요인은 글로벌 경쟁력에 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 항만물류기업이 글로벌 경쟁력을 증진하기 위한 마케팅믹스 전략을 개발하는데 유용한 방향을 제시하고 있다.

With the rapid development of global economic and trade, the ports in the North-east Asia region have developed rapidly. Ocean shipping plays an irreplaceable role in China's foreign trade. Improvement of China's economy and continuous increase of trade in North-East Asia have made China as the number one in the world in container transport. Tianjin port which is the biggest international trade port in North-east China. Tianjin Binhai New District has incorporated in (CPC Central Committee on the outline of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan for national economic and social development proposals) which had adopted by The Fifth Plenary Session of the 16th CPC Central Committee. However, the competitions between ports are getting intense, the construction of Northeast Asia shipping center is in the ascendant, which bring new opportunity and challenge to the development of Tianjin port logistics. Therefore, Tianjin should according to its characteristics, integrating port resources, exert great efforts in developing port logistics, thus promoting regional economic development. Therefore, it is necessary to make the main study on the development strategy of Tianjin port logistics.
