e-navigation 선상시스템을 위한 기술적 아키텍처 개발 (Development of e-navigation shipboard technical architecture)

  • 국제해사기구(IMO)가 개발 중인 e-navigation은 사용자 요구사항으로부터 서비스 및 시스템 아키텍처를 개발하고 이를 기반으로 e-navigation에 필요한 서비스를 사용자에게 제공하는 일종의 전략이다. 지난 2011년 국제해사기구 NAV 57차 회의에서 채택한 포괄적 e-navigation 아키텍처는 e-navigation을 구성하는 선상 및 육상 시스템간의 포괄적 관계만을 나타내고 있으므로 e-navigation 서비스를 실질적으로 구현하기 위해서는 선상시스템용 상세 아키텍처 개발이 요구된다. 아키텍처 개발 시 중요사항으로 사용자 요구사항부터 격차, 해결책으로 이어지는 일련의 전략 요소들과 아키텍처가 연관성 및 추적성을 갖도록 해야 한다는 점이며 이는 IMO가 지속적이고 순환적인 개발 결과 검증을 요구하기 때문이다. 이런 점을 고려하여 본 논문에서는 e-navigation 사용자 요구사항을 분석한 기술트리를 작성하고 이에 포함된 기능들이 격차 분석 결과 및 잠정 해결책들을 만족하는지 여부를 비교 분석하기 위해 미국 국방부의 DoDAF 방법론을 적용하였다. 기술트리 기능들과 e-navigation 전략 요소 개발 내용과의 비교 분석 결과 도출된 아키텍처 요소를 정보 흐름 관계로 표현하여 e-navigation 선상 시스템을 위한 기술적 아키텍처를 제안하였다.

NASTRAN DMAP을 활용한 내충격 평가 기법(DDAM) 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of Performance Evaluation Method of Shock-Resistance(DDAM) using NASTRAN DMAP)

  • 기존의 DDAM에서 충격응답해석을 위해 널리 채용되는 수학적 모델은 단순화된 다자유도의 질량 스프링계 모델이었다. 그러나 근래에는 탑재장비가 점점 복잡하고 다양해지기 때문에 이들을 전체 유한요소 모델로 모델링해서 충격해석을 실시하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 범용 구조유한요소 해석프로그램인 MSC/NASTRAN에서 제공하는 DMAP 기능을 활용하여 선박, 함정용 탑재장비의 내충격 안전성평가에 활용할 수 있는 DDAM 프로그램을 개발하였다. 고유진동해석후 DMAP으로 추출한 데이터를 입력치로 하여 본 연구에서 개발된 DDAM에 의해 도출된 장비의 유효질량, 중량, 충격응답등은 ANSYS에서 제공하는 DDAM 결과와 비교되었다. 대체적으로 두 결과는 잘 일치하여 프로그램의 유용성 및 정확성이 확인되었다.

함정용 다기능 AESA 레이더 시스템을 위한 고전압·고효율 DC-DC 전원모듈 개발 (Development of High Voltage, High Efficiency DC-DC Power Module for Modern Shipboard Multi-Function AESA Radar Systems)

  • For conventional AESA radars, DC-DC power modules using 300 Vdc have low efficiency, high volume, heavy weight, and high price, which have problems in modularity with T/R module groups. In this paper, to improve these problems, we propose a distributed DC-DC power module with high-voltage 800 Vdc and high-efficiency Step-down Converter. In particular, power requirements for modern and future marine weapons systems and sensors are rapidly evolving into high-energy and high-voltage power systems. The power distribution of the next generation Navy AESA radar antenna is under development with 1000 Vdc. In this paper, the proposed highvoltage, high-efficiency DC-DC power modules increase space(size), weight, power and cooling(SWaP-C) margins, reduce integration costs/risk, and reduce maintenance costs. Reduced system weight and higher reliability are achieved in navy and ground AESA systems. In addition, the proposed architecture will be easier to scale with larger shipboard radars and applicable to other platforms.

  • Muffler design in the exhaust system is critical to provide for low noise in shipboard spaces. In an attempt to effectively design the low noise muffler, it is important to evaluate the performance of the muffler considering not only the noise, but also pressure drop as well. For this purpose, a test system of large exhaust muffler for ship propulsion systems was designed based on ISO 7235. The substitution test for determining both the insertion loss and pressure drop of mufflers was carried out. A ship exhaust muffler is considered as a test example and the insertion loss and pressure drop are obtained.

3자유도 병렬 로붓을 이용한 선실 운동의 능동제어 (Active Control of a Ship Cabin Motion Using 3-DOF Parallel Robots)

  • The demand for the stable and comfortable cabin of a high speed passenger ship is increasing. The study on shipboard comfort has been mainly concentrated on the motion control of a whole hull body. In this study, however, a new control system operated by two parallel robots (3RPS, 3SPR) such as the active suspension system of motor vehicle is proposed. The goal of this control is keeping zero velocity of the upper robot (cabin) although the lower robot (ship) is moving by the waves. Jacobian matrix was used to design the controller, From the simulation results, the remarkable reduction of motion of the cabin (upper platform) was observed. The 3SPR parallel robot shows better performance compared to the 3RPS robot.

선박소음예측 및 데이터베이스 프로그램 개발 (A Study on the Prediction and Database Program of Ship Noise)

  • Ship owners are demanding quieter vessels since crews have become more sensitive to their acoustic environment. Accordingly, designers of shipyards need to respond intelligently to the challenging requirements of delivering a quiet vessel. In early design stage, to predict shipboard noise the statistical approach is preferred to other methods because of simplicity. However, since the noise characteristics of the ships vary continuously with the environments, it is necessary to update the prediction formula with data base management system. This paper describes the feature of database program with the prediction method. Database management programs with GUI, are applied to Intranet system that is accessible by any users. Statistical approach to the prediction of A-weighted noise level in ship cabins, based on multiple regression analysis, is conducted. The noise levels in ship cabins are mainly affected by the parameters of the deadweight, the type of ship, the relative location of engines and cabins, the type of deckhouse, etc. As a result of verification, the formulas ensure the accuracy of 3 ㏈ in 83 % of cabins.

  • 본 논문은 2축 구조를 가진 안정화 지향성 Pan-Tilt 시스템을 개발하기 위한 기초연구로서 2축 Pan-Tilt와 Pan-Tilt 구동 하드웨어 보드를 제작하고 표적 추적을 위한 제어기를 설계하는 내용이다. Pan-Tilt 시스템을 6 자유도 선박운동 시뮬레이터에 탑재하여 테스트 환경을 구축하고 RCGA를 이용하여 Pan-Tilt의 모델 매개변수를 추정한 다음, 추정된 모델과 RCGA에 기초하여 시뮬레이션과 실험을 수행함으로써 2 자유도 PID 제어기 동조의 유효성을 검토한다.

  • An innovative batch electrolytic system consisted of electrolytic basin, which was equipped with DSA(Dimensionally Stable Anode) type insoluble electrode, Ti/IrO2 anode and H-C metal cathode, and flotation separator was developed for the efficient treatment of shipboard emulsified oily wastewater. The electorod cleance and current density of elecrolytic basin to ensure maximum treatment efficiency of oily wastewater was evaluated as 6 mm, 3 A/dm3, respectively. The electrolytic efficiency of oily wastewater was affected by the operationtemperature, and it means that the temperature controller to ensure the stabiity of the process is required. The conductivity in the electrolytic basin was increased with the percentage of sea water in the oily wastewater, and over 90% of treatment efficiency of oily wastewater could be obtained at 7% of sea water. The oil removal rate was increased according to the increase of the quantity of electricity, and the maximum value of electrilyic rate constant was 288 mgoil/A.min. The information obtained from this study might be used for development of an efficient continuous electrolytic system treating the emulsified oily wastewater.

Investigation of Stress on Seafarers by Biochemical Inspections and Heart Rate Measurements

  • It is naturally to be expected that occupational stress on seafarers has specific characters compared to workers engaged in other industries. Because the physical rigors of working and living at sea has been endured as a part of job. The purpose of this paper is to figure out physical changes on seafarers resulted from ordinary shipboard life on the ocean-going cargo vessel. To do this, we performed biochemical inspections testing blood and urine for 28 crews, and measured heart rate of officers engaging in some bridge duties. The tests showed that creatinine, uric acid, total cholesterol, HDL-C, LDL-C of some crews fell down to level which could make a bad impact on human body. And the heart rate of deck officers had vibrated with rather wide amplitude whenever they have got some work-related psychological pressure.

Present State and Challenges for Women Seafarers in Korea

  • This paper surveyed & analyzed the career path of the 586 female cadets who graduated from the Korea Maritime University. According to the analysis, 154 graduates have the seafaring experience onboard, while 432 have no chance to work onboard. The figure indicated that one of the challenge is the number of female maritime officers who can engage in the boarding works was relatively limited. However, it is significant implication that about 80% of the graduate have been employed in a maritime industry including shipping, shipbuilding, public sectors and etc.
