"한진인천"호 침몰종의 원인에 관한 이론적인 연구 (A Theoretical Study on the Causes of the Sinking Disaster of M/V Hanjin-Inchon)

  • The disasters of wet bound vessels have been more frequent than those of east bound ones on the sea routes of the North Pacific Ocean in winter season. M/V Hanjin-Inchon was also west bound in her missing voyage. The container vessel of 17, 676 gross tons, M/V Hanjin-Inchon owned by Hanjin Shipping Co.Ltd in Seoul Korea left seattle in west coast of U.S.A for Pusan , Korea on the 5th Feb., 1987 and sailed along the exact courses recommended by Ocean Routes until she reported her position and speed as 49-30N, 158-00E and 8 knots to her head office in Seoul by this ship's time 2200 hours on the 13th Feb., 1987. The above message turned out to be last message from her because she had been missing since then leaving no message but only two life boats of her name, three containers cases, large scale of oil slicks and the corpse of her 3rd mate drifting on the sea near the position reported by her last message.

강판의 곡가공 자동화를 위한 수치제어 시스템의 개발 (Development of Numerical Control System for Plate forming Automation)

  • This paper deals with the development of an interface program for automatic plate forming, which can exchange information between the heating line information generation program and the automatic heating apparatus. In this paper, the performance of the developed interface program has been verified from the view point of numerical position control. By applying the interface program to the operation of the automatic heating apparatus, an experiment of line heating has been conducted for several steel plate models. Based on the experimental results, a simplified relation to estimate angular distortion has keen derived as a natural characteristic of the present automatic heating apparatus. As a result of the present study, the prototype of the automatic plate forming system has been constructed, and its application to the real surface models found in the ship will be presented in the near future.

계획항로를 활용한 해상교통관제사 의사결정 지원 방안

  • 선박의 선위 추측(DR, Dead Reckoning)은 수신되거나 측정된 위치 데이터와 속력, 침로 데이터만을 반영하여 계산하므로 대양의 항해나 연근해의 해역에서는 유효할 수 있으나 침로의 변경과 선속의 변화가 잦은 항계 내의 조선에 있어서는 적용이 어렵다는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 선박의 추측위치(DRP, Dead Reckoning Position)는 선박의 운항 패턴에 따라 항계 내의 항적 데이터를 수집하고, 수신된 위치 데이터와 속력, 침로 데이터를 점장위도항법(Mercator Sailing)을 통하여 계획항로(Planned Route)의 각 변침점(WP, Waypoint)간 침로(Course)와 항정(Ship's Passage)에 반영하였다. 제안된 추측위치 산출방법을 통하여 항계 내의 조선과정에서 계획항로를 선박의 추측위치와 결합하여 특정 시간 후의 상황패턴을 미리 예측하고 관제사의 의사결정에 기여하고자 한다.

  • Harbor and bay is essential social overhead capital to our country economy national security. This harbor and bay is ever-present danger of marine accident by massed sea traffic discharge. A nautical mark in sea maintains safety of sea traffic and establishes in sea for increase of efficiency of ship service to prevent this sea accident. In this study, position of light buoy that establish for safety of harbor and bay that decided adjacent district along the coast base point by utilization method of intersection and evaluated and compares with DGPS measurement techniques.

  • This paper deals with a mathematical model which explains process of aquisition or skillfulness of human. Especially, in the case of determinating a ship's position, a degree of aquisitiion or skillfulness has a significant meaning in the view point of reliability of a data because it is closely connected with the position error. In this paper, the authors have obtained the following mathematical model, who analyzed quantitavely the data obtained by a process of measuring the horizontal sextant angles and extracted the factors or parameters affecting the process of aquisition or skillfulness of human. An alternative portable dynamic positioning system on a barge in short-crested waves using the fuzzy control

  • The paper described the nonlinear dynamic motion behavior of a barge equipped with the portable outboard Dynamic Positioning(DP) control system in short-crested waves. The DP system based on the fuzzy theory is applied to control the thrusters to optimally adjust the ship position and heading in waves. In addition to the short-crested waves, the current, wind and nonlinear drifting force are also included in the calculations. The time domain simulations for the six degrees of freedom motions of the barge with the DP system are solved by the $4^{th}$ order Runge-Kutta method. The results show that the position and heading deviations are limited within acceptable ranges based on the present control method. When the dynamic positioning missions are needed, the technique of the alternative portable DP system developed here can serve as a practical tool to assist those ships without equipping with the DP facility.

선원들의 상해발생 관련 안전의식 실태 조사 (A Survey of Safety Consciousness relate to Casuality Occurrence of Seafares)

  • 본 연구는 선원 재교육기관에서 안전교육을 수강하는 선원들 가운데 최근 1개월 이내 승선경력이 있는 437명을 대상으로 선내 작업 중 상해발생 관련 안전의식 실태조사와 분석을 통하여 선내 재해로부터 선원들의 건강보호와 효율적인 선내 안전교육 방법과 선내 사업장 안전 대책에 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 실시하였다. 연구결과 선원들의 안전준수 실태 수준은 평균 68.82점으로 보통 상태였으며, 상해 발생관련 안전준수 실태는 교육수준, 항해구역, 선종, 선박크기, 선령 등이 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다(p<0.01). 따라서 선원의 안전의식 수준을 높이기 위해 다양한 안전 교육프로그램의 개발과 선상안전 활동의 활성화 등 선원들의 상해발생 예방을 위한 적극적인 선내 안전 실천 운동이 요구된다.

조업성능 향상을 위한 선망선 개선 (Remodeling of tuna purse seiner for improving fishing performance)

  • In an attempt to respond to the increase in international oil prices and reduce operating expenses, ship remodeling was carried out on a 740ton class tuna purse seiner. To strengthen the competitiveness of the fisheries industry by improving vessel performance, a bulbous bow was newly equipped. The slipway and rudder area were also lengthened and enlarged with the propeller and main engine remained unchanged. To reduce the hull resistance, a circle type bulbous bow was attached on the hull behind bow thruster and thus the cost for exchanging electrical equipment for bow thruster was reduced. The new rudder area was expanded 15% more than the old one within the extent that the existing mechanical control part and rudder stock were not changed. To prevent fishing net damage and stabilize wake field, slipway was lengthened to the optimal position. All of the new design of remodeling parts went through the model tests in towing tank and CWC. Besides resistance test, all of necessary model test results were delivered for hydrodynamic character for the modified ship. The maneuvering simulation to verify that the remodeled ship satisfies the IMO rules was performed in both zigzag and turning tests. The estimated resistance with new bulbous bow and lengthened stern was reduced by 4.8% in the 2-dimensional analysis and 17.4% in the 3-dimensional analysis in comparison of conventional ship. The average reduction of resistance was estimated about 10%. Maneuvering character of modified hull form was found to satisfy all regulations under IMO. The remodeling of tuna purse seiner can not only improve fishing performance but also contribute to reduction of operating cost by saving energy for the fisheries industry.

선박조종시뮬레이터를 이용한 울산항 원유부이이설의 안전성 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Safety Assessment of the replaced Single Buoy Mooring at Ulsan Harbor by Ship Handling Simulator)

  • In accordance with the development plans of Ulsan harbor, Ulsan new harbor will be contructed considering supporting Ulsan harbor as a safe berthing and departure at single buoy mooring(SBM). In this study, we used a full-mission ship handling simulator adopting 300,000 DWT VLCC manoeuvered at the planned Ulsan SBM. Five masters who have had a long experience of ship maneuvering were called to carry out the simulations, of which each scenario were tried one, completed total of 68 times. The marine traffic safety was assessed in terms of 1) the closest point of approach(CPA) to other SBM and breakwater in the vicinity and the probability of crossing the restricted area of the closest SBM and fairway limit, 2) subjective evaluation such as the mental burden and the maneuvering difficulty of shiphanders, and 3) the opinions of shiphandlers. From the result of this simulation, we have a conclusion as follows; First, because crude oil berthing angle is so small by current S-OiL Co. crude oil buoy by SK Co. No 3 crude oil buoy different view SK Co. No 3 crude oil buoy and interference of current KNOC crude oil buoy, Berthing is impossible, and Emergency departing is very dangerous too operation impossible. Second it is desirable that SK Co. No 2 and No 3 Single buoy Mooring that do different view controls position so that to be not put in straight line each other. Third, SK Co. No 1 and 2 single buoy mooring that do different view to Onsanhang berthing and departing is seized by single buoy mooring by external force ship that set sail does faith control need.

근접노드와 거리변화량분석기법을 이용한 선내 위치인식 개선 알고리즘 (An improvement algorithm for localization using adjacent node and distance variation analysis techniques in a ship)

  • 최근 정보 통신 기술의 발전에 따라 GPS를 이용한 실외 위치 기반 서비스와 더불어 정밀한 위치추적이 필요한 실내 위치 기반 서비스에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 하지만 철골 구조로 이루어진 선박은 전파의 회절 및 굴절에 의한 레인징 오차로 인하여 정확한 위치 측정이 어렵다. 이러한 실내 환경에서 발생하는 위치측정 오차를 줄이기 위하여 본 논문에서는 다중경로에 강인하고 자유공간에서 수 센티미터의 오차를 가지는 UWB(Ultra-wide-band)를 이용하여 어떠한 부가적인 센서 없이도 선내 복도와 같은 좁은 통로에 적합한 거리 개선 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이 개선 방법은 고정노드 배치로 인한 거리 오차는 피타고라스 이론과 근접노드기법으로 해결하고 복도의 코너 구역에서 크게 발생하는 레인징 오차는 거리변화량분석기법을 적용하여 보정하였다. 실험결과 제안한 방법이 기존의 CSS(Chirp spread spectrum) 방법과 비교할 때 노드 수와 거리오차를 각각 66%와 57.41%로 줄였다.
