Research about spherical shells been applying most usually is achieved by many investigators already and generalized equation has been derived. But, existent research is limited in case that spherical shell's roof rigidity is isotropy or orthotropy, and research that consider periodicity of rigidity-distribution that can happen by doing spherical shell's roof system by lattice system is not gone entirely. The purpose of this paper is applying Galerkin method to spherical shell that model periodicity of roof rigidity distribution that appear by roof lattice form of large space structure and develop structural analysis program that formularize. Rigidity-model of this research selects that of spherical shell which has 2-way grid. In this paper, buckling-strength and deformation distribution of isotopic spherical shell and 2-way grid spherical shell obtained by developed program could confirm the reliability by comparison with result of existent research.
The general approach using sine series expansions was represented to evaluate the radiation loading from a vibrating surface on a simply supported cylinder. In this paper, the fluid-loading coefficients (radiation impedance) for a submerged finite cylindrical shell with an arbitrary end condition are defined and evaluated. The vibrations of cylindrical shell are expressed by using cosine series expansions to analyze the radiation impedance for a finite cylindrical shell. It is possible to represent the displacements at both ends of cylindrical shell in comparison with sine series. The direct and cross modal components of fluid-loading coefficients are shown and the validity of cosine series expansions are verified from the results of numerical computations. This approach and results are directly applicable in the analysis of sound radiation from subemerged finite cylindrical shell with arbitrary end conditions.
A theoretical formulation for the analysis of free vibration of a cylindrical shell with a circular plate attached at an arbitrary axial position of the shell under various kinds of boundary conditions was derived and programed to get the numerical results for natural frequencies and mode shapes of the combined system. The boundary conditions of the shell to be considered here are clamped-free, clamped-simply supported, both ends clamped and both ends simply supported. The frequencies and mode shapes from theoretical calculation were compared with those of commercial finite element code, ANSYS. The results showed good agreement with those of ANSYS in frequencies and mode shapes. The program will contribute to the design optimization of a shell/plate combined system through the analysis of natural frequencies and mode shapes for the system.

Sound measurement experiments and Finite Element analysis are carried out to understand the characteristics of the noise propagation and structure of the compressor in this research. Noises generated from the compressor on various conditions are measured to classify the transmission path of the noise propagation with respect to the sources. The experiment results show that noises attributed to the shell bending resonant modes accounts fer a major portion of the spectra and that damping spring of the discharge pipe have a damping effect on some frequency range. Constructions of the FE model show that the curvature of the upper shell is very important for the resonance of the upper shell. And, present upper shell has a difficult shape to be manufactured. And, in this research, shape optimization is conducted to increase the strength of the shell for the reduction of the noise. Sound spectrum of noise from the modified compressor verified the sound reduction.
The various spectral density functions of wind are applied in the wind process simulation by the spectral representation method. In view of the spectral density functions, the characteristics of the simulated processes are compared. The ensemble spectral density functions constructed from the simulated sample processes are revealed to have the similarity not only in global shape but also in the maximum values with the target spectral density functions with a high accuracy. For the correlation structure to be satisfied in the circumferential direction on the cooling tower shell, a new formula is suggested based on the mathematical expression representing the circumferential distribution of the wind pressure on the cooling tower shell. The simulated wind processes are applied in the dynamic analysis of cooling tower shell in the time domain and the fluctuating stochastic behavior of the cooling tower shell is investigated.
The studies on activated carbon prepared from walnut shell and groundnut shell were undertaken to ascertain the effect of initial state of precursor and activation process on the development of porosity in the resulting activated carbon. Walnut shell based carbon shows the presence of cellular pores while Groundnut shell based carbon shows fibrillar pore structure. The adsorption parameters, characterization of product and scanning electron microscopic studies carried out showed the presence of mainly Micro, Meso and Macro porosity in carbon prepared from Walnut shell while mainly micro porosity was observed in Groundnut shell based activated carbon. An interrelationship between the adsorption efficiency and porosity in terms of quality control parameters, for before and after activation, was validated through the scanning electron microscopic data.
Cyberattacks are often difficult to identify with traditional signature-based detection, because attackers continually find ways to bypass the detection methods. Therefore, researchers have introduced artificial intelligence (AI) technology for cybersecurity analysis to detect malicious PowerShell scripts. In this paper, we propose a feature optimization technique for AI-based approaches to enhance the accuracy of malicious PowerShell script detection. We statically analyze the PowerShell script and preprocess it with a method based on the tokens and abstract syntax tree (AST) for feature selection. Here, tokens and AST represent the vocabulary and structure of the PowerShell script, respectively. Performance evaluations with optimized features yield detection rates of 98% in both machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) experiments. Among them, the ML model with the 3-gram of selected five tokens and the DL model with experiments based on the AST 3-gram deliver the best performance.
The Cylindrical Shell Equation is one of the fundamental tools in the study of the noise analysis in the cylindrical shell. Therefore, lot of the acousticians induced many cylindrical shell motion equations.[1] In the Reference[6], we introduced the newly induced cylindrical Shell Equation and Junger and Feit's shell equation[5], and computed the free wave number with the linear Equation with the supposed solution, in the case of the free motion of the shell. In this paper, we compared above cylindrical shell equations by using dispersion curve of free wave number and we describe the physical mean for the dispersion curve with ring-frequency and ring-extention-frequency. With this result, we proves the useful of a newly induced cylindrical shell equation and we can analyse the Structure-Borne Sound of the shell with this equation in the application.

The shell and tube heat exchangers were introduced to apply to a big capacity condenser and a high pressure feed water heater for power plant in the beginning of 1990s. Design and manufacturing technology fur shell and tube heat exchangers have been developed until now. But it is very difficult to calculate the expected performance characteristics of the shell and tube heat exchanger, because there are many design parameters to be considered according to internal structure and the shell side heat transfer mechanism complicately related to the design parameters. Design parameters to be considered in the design stage of shell and tube heat exchanger are shell and tube side fluids, flow rate, inlet and outlet temperature, physical properties, type of heat exchanger, outer diameter, thickness, length of tube, tube arrangement, tube pitch, permissive pressure loss on both sides, type of baffle plate, baffle cutting ratio. The propose of study is an analysis TEMA(Tubular Exchanger Manufacturers Association) E shell and tube heat exchanger performance with changing a number of baffles(3, 5, 7, 9, 11) and tubes(16, 20) and determined optimal baffle spacing.

For non-linear analysis of stiffened shell structures, the total Lagrangian formulation is presented based upon the degenerated shell element. Geometrically correct formulation is developed by updating the direction of normal vectors and taking into account second order rotational terms in the incremental displacement field. Assumed strain concept is adopted in order to overcome shear locking phenomena and to eliminate spurious zero energy mode. The post-buckling behaviors of stiffened shell structures are traced by modeling the stiffener as a shell element and considering general transformation between the main structure and the stiffener at the connection node. Numerical examples to demonstrate the accuracy and the effectiveness of the proposed shell element are presented and compared with references' results.
